My kind of place — easy to find location, with parking, appointments taken, but not necessary, great and affordable services. Yay!

3 months after getting the most horrific highlighting job across the country, I ended up at this salon. I was pretty anxious about having my hair balayaged and cut after my previous experience, but I’m so glad I took the risk. Venus was very nice and friendly from the get-​go. She sent me pics of other work she had done and had me send her pics of exactly what I wanted. When I got to the salon, she took her time and explained exactly what she envisioned. This is the first time EVER that someone has actually took the time to explain wtheck kind of chemicals were being applied to my hair; it was so nice! Three hours and a few inches of hair later, I was done! My husband said this is the best my hair’s ever looked and I’d have to agree. Venus is a miracle worker and I plan on returning again soon!
Her prices are affordable and I had to pay a reasonable amount. Some of the other salons I had contacted were charging an arm and a leg and were not friendly about my many questions. What made this experience so much better was that Venus was willing to take time and go over everything with me and did not rush AT ALL. She was working on my hair well past the closing time but I never felt like she was short-​changing me.
If you’re looking for a salon that delivers excellent service at affordable prices, this is the place to go!

I was very disappointed by the way my one year old son was treated. The salon may be ok for adults but do not bring your child here. The owner was very condescending to him instead of trying to make him feel comfortable.

Great place to go to get a cut. They do wax treatments as well. A little on the artsy side when you come in and it’s comfy. Great prices and even better if your a student or in the military.

Venus is great! She was able to fit both my wife and I in on short notice. My hair turned out great. My wife got a color and cut that looked fabulous. She gave us the price quote up front and doesn’t gouge you. The shop is very nice and comfortable. The art work is from local artists and available for purchase. Parking is easy and the shop is nice and easy to find. Will definately be returning here.

Epiphany Salon is definitely one of the best in Memphis. Venus, the owner and a stylist, is a master colorist. It is really incredible how gorgeous and dynamic she can make your hair look! She’s been at this location almost three years now, and I am happy to drive half an hour to get her to give me perfect cool blonde highlights.
I had a terrible haircut and color at a well-​known salon in Midtown (awful baby bangs and chunky highlights), but Venus stepped up and completely fixed the damage. It was unbelievable. There’s no one better in Memphis!

Venus is a lifesaver. I had to come to town one weekend last minute and had to cancel my usual hair stylist in Atlanta. Because I was going to be out of the office and working for two weeks, I needed my hair done that weekend. Venus opened up the shop early for me that Saturday, and greeted me with a friendly face. My highlights looked great– very natural which is how i like it. My cut was perfect too. All around I was very impressed, and i may just have to ditch the fancy stylist in Atlanta for Venus!

Brenna at Epiphany salon & Gallery is absolutely amazing!!! She did a wonderful job straightening and cutting my extremely curly hair. I greatly appreciate Brenna volunteering her time to stay late and do my hair after the manager of the salon had overbooked herself. Which turned out to be a good thing because Brenna is AWESOME, she is very knowledgeable about hyper-​curly hair. Brenna is so pleasant to be around. I genuinely enjoyed my time in the chair.

Venus is the BEST colorist, I will never let anyone else do my color again! She knows what I want even more than I do. They also have a great selection of Farouk Chi hair products at great prices.
And the facial with Joyce was the most relaxing, wonderful experience. I felt like I had been to a weekend retreat when she was finished and my skin glowed for days! I will definitely be going on a regular basis for that bit of heaven on earth!
You MUST try it!

I visited Epiphany Salon & Gallery for the first time today and I am so glad they have a full staff now because I’ve been having some issues with my skin and was very happy to see that Epiphany’s added Aesthetics by JoyceAnn to their staff and I was able to make an appointment today. JoyceAnn is so pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. Once she gave me a skin consultation & analysis she knew exactly what was going on with my skin. She told me what products to use and not use for my skin. I really enjoyed the face massage and that little thing she used to suck the dirt out of my pores, it felt so relaxing I went to sleep a couple times and I enjoyed my complimentary hand scrub too! My skin felt so soft & refreshed that I could immediately see how bright it looks. I’ve already made my next appointment.

Let me start off by saying that this is not your average hair salon; it’s hard to find such an original salon. Its owner, Venus, has managed to create a hip, artistic curio slash hair salon without being a bit pretentious. There are huge-​and small– canvases covering the salon’s walls. Local artists use Venus’ salon as a place to showcase their pieces, and she occasionally holds art shows after hours. Painting is not the only artistic form– there are jewelry, photography, and pottery pieces placed throughout the shop.
When I walked into Epiphany, my hair was all dried out and I’m not actually sure what color I could have called it. It was sort of blond, but my roots were growing in. Have you ever seen that episode of American Dad where Francine stops dying her hair? I feel like my hair sort of looked like that, although not to the same animated extent. I came in and said I wanted to go darker, but I was wary.
The moment you sit in Venus’ chair, it will click that she is the best at what she does. She is literally a mad scientist, because she can look at your hair for one minute and tell you the chemical/​cutting processes she needs to perform to fix whatever it is you have done to yourself. She takes the time to talk through what you want, but she also lets you know your best options. Venus hesitates to let me look at the color swatches for too long because she knows I am prone to changing my mind. Luckily, I trust her judgment and tell her to work her magic.
Venus dyed my hair as close to its natural color as possible, and she infused it with silk. I have absolutely no idea what that means or how it works, but it sounds pretty legit. She also painted in warm, natural highlights. Not enough to scream, «Hey, I’ve got highlights,» but enough to light up in the sun. I trusted her to use her creative judgment to work with my idea, and I think she nailed it. I seriously think this is the best and healthiest my hair has ever looked.
No one in Memphis will ever touch my hair again – unless her name is Venus. I will recommend this salon to every single person I know. Venus’ passion and talent for hair is palpable, and Epiphany is unique and inviting.

I was very impressed with my first experience with this salon. Venus was very welcoming and did an excellent job on my cut. She helped with troubleshooting on my split ends and recommended products without being pushy or overbearing. Some of her techniques I didn’t not recognize and she was clear in explaining reasons for use, advantages, etc.
I will definitely be back!

I met Venus today, and whoo! I can’t wait to go back! I went in because I had a Groupon for highlights that I bought a few months ago. I hate it took me so long to go use it! Venus scheduled my appointment herself, and I was already excited to go in because she was so friendly on the phone.
The salon itself is awesome, very hip. There’s interesting art on the walls, and they have art shows every few months. There was a display with pottery, too, and I was really interested in that.
Venus, the owner, is a joy! She was very understanding of my zero knowledge of hair (and therefore, what I should do with my own.), so she helped me pick out a color and style. It’s gorgeous! I love my new hair! And I love that after 6 months in Memphis, I finally have «my» stylist!

The Manager who is also the owner in this Salon is an amazing women, she is very welcoming, and most important is that she is very professional, she will advice you for what fits your face and can guide you if you asked.
As I moved from LA to Memphis for my dental residency, I was a bit skeptical about finding a good hair stylist, but I finally did.
I went there 4 times so far and I liked it, the last time I told her that I want to make a complete change in my hair style and there she goes, she cut and styled my hair in an amazing way.
The place is big, comfy, and relaxing, plus if You are waiting for your turn You can get complimentary coffee, or candy, or even both.
Moreover, they have a wide variety of CHI and Farouk natural hair products.

Venus and her team are great! Best hairstylist i’ve found in the last 10 years. Venus is a master colorist. My sons and husband are all thrilled with their cuts. We walked in and within an hour the team had cut and styled all 4 of us plus I got an eyebrow wax. AND they have art and a rewards system. Love venus, love this place.
