I don’t know, I recently had my diamond reset in my four-prong setting at Perella, and a couple weeks after, I looked down and my diamond was gone — one of the prongs had broken. I just find the timing odd, given I had the ring for nearly 15 years without a problem, and it had just been in the shop to be repaired. They assured me that during repair a prong couldn’t be weakened, but that you can snag one on a string of your coat and rip it right off. Luckily it’s insured, but you can’t ever replace the sentimental value.

I purchased a watch I love, various silver chains and had numerous repairs on my jewelry, and beads restrung. I moved out of Melrose and continue to return to Perella for my jewelry needs. But the real reason it is such a special place is because Paul is an expert and gives extraordinary service. No job is too small and you will walk out with a smile, something beautiful — and grateful that you entered the the door.

Great service here. I went on the recommendation from a friend, and was happy I did. I had a specific idea for a necklace for my friend’s birthday, and was worried that it couldn’t be done. The owner was really helpful and gave me a couple of suggestions that made the gift even better. The necklace was ready in just a few days and looks great. I will be back to this place and I’m really happy I found a local jeweler that I can trust.
