Whatever you do, DONOTGOTOMARGARITA’S on a Saturday night because clearly they don’t know how to bring you drinks or cheese dip in less than 20 minutes! NOR can a manager come to your table when requested within a reasonable amount of time. When the manager finally did come to our table, his excuse was that he took so long because he was in the back preparing our food… which like I said was simply cheese dip. The service was HORRIBLE!!! I would rather get food and drinks from my local gas station than return to Margaritas.

Their $ 5 original margaritas are spoo good. Their quesadillas are awesome. Service was nice. I came here on a Cisco De mayo expecting a crowd but didnt find one. On this day they had a variety of music which I enjoyed. Nice inexpensive place.

I came here with a few friends a few days ago(teacher day?). At first our waitress was ok… But then she was missing. Of course management came to ask how things were after our first drink, and at the point it was fine. She was not attentive, and kept forgetting everything. I’m sorry, a side of sour cream shouldn’t keep us waiting for 20 minutes to the point our food was cold(and she blamed it on other staff for not bringing it out-no, you should check). She did not even bring our second appetizer. Like at all… Nor was it on our bill so she completely forgot to order it. I brought it up when we were leaving but was waiting so long for the bill I couldn’t waste more of my Friday to complain to a manager. What a crappy way for margaritas to show their teacher appreciation. Thanks.

Note: This review is based solely on service. We were unable to get anything. I understand that this location is a cheap chain restaurant and I did not have my hopes up. It just happened to be close by and it was 9pm. Upon entering the venue, we were greeted by no one. Unsure how the restaurant worked, we waited around. Finally, a greeter came back and informed us that we could sit wherever. We picked our seating and waited. 30 minutes passed and no on had approached our table. A member of our group then informed the greeter and the greeter gave us menus and informed us that someone would be with us shortly. And again 20 minutes passed with no one; we had not even gotten our waters. I then found a server and informed her that no one had attended to us in almost an hour. Once again, 20 minutes passed and no one approached us. We didn’t make a scene, we just left the restaurant. Good to know this place is a complete waste of time.

The good: not a bad place to end the night, as in, «now that you can stomach the taste of Tecate, $ 3 for a 16 oz. can is pretty damn sweet.» Unlike a lot of the complaints I’m seeing here, service was actually great. Our server was very nice. The bad: the food. Ew. I hardly ever have food I consider bad, but it really seems like they looked up pictures of mexican food on the internet and just tried to recreate it based on looks. I forced my way through half a cheese enchilada. The cheese was super stringy. Like, lift my arm above my head and it’s still connected to the plate stringy, and the enchilada sauce was simply not correct(and yes, I’m talking American-Mexican food correct). The Spanish rice and beans were a sad, sad joke. The greens that were included as garnishments looked helplessly stale, making everything appear even lower quality than it actually was, which actually be an achievement. I don’t know. This was hands down the least pleasing meal in recent memory. In my bottom 3 of all time, easily. I would never come back here except to have a Tecate for $ 3 if I were to stay at AC Hotel again. Avoid.

It’s not my sort of restaurant but to be honest this place is pretty solid. The guacamole is pretty good, and a very large portion. I had the shrimp salad and the zarape. The zarape was the better of the two I think, pretty flavorful beef mixed in with some fajita veggies. The shrimp salad was totally fine too with a good dressing, but mainly lettuce with a few vegetables in it.

Tgis is only the second time I’ve posted a Unilocal review in two years. Horrible experience, Its Cinco de Mayo and this place has ruined my night. Management physically pushed me to get by the bar(In awe did not react). The two bartenders me and my friend dealt with were far from welcoming. This place meeds new management ASAP.

Located across from the AC Marriott in a new development(at least new to a south shorer!), Margarita’s Medford was difficult to find and getting in and out was a virtual nightmare. Can you possibly add more options and road signs to that intersection? That said, there was ample parking and it looked like you could get make an afternoon out of it with the nearby shops. We were immediately greeted by the host and was led to a booth. Our server Cecilia was quick to approach and was good throughout. Complimentary chips were stale. She went MIA for a while between our order and checking in(the manger delivered our meal), but we could clearly see she was waiting on other tables in the dining area and patio so may have been under the weeds. I ordered the chix chimichanga and the boy ordered the Tio’s Mexican combo. It took just over 15 minutes for our food to come out. Both came out piping hot, fresh, and tasty. I found the chicken to not be as well seasoned as the Margarita’s in Weymouth and the chunks rather large(required me to cut them in half). Both came with a scoop of guac on the top that was virtually tasteless. I’m not sure why they even bothered mashing it if they couldn’t even hit it with some salt, pepper, cumin, and lime. The margaritas were stronger than Weymouth’s(always a plus in my book)! Manager was also very present and hands on(greeting tables, running food, taking orders). Overall, we were in and out in an hour. Because of the closer location and tastier food, we’ll be sticking the the Weymouth location.

I hate this location so much! Every time I drive by it I can’t help it, but like F this place ! Lmfao I been here many times, and the more frequent, I come the service just get so much worst. The server was so slow&dumb at the same damn time. It’s either slow or stupid but on a Friday evening like really. Both margarita glass were dirty with specks in my drink. I sent both drinks back but she was so dumb she arrived back with the drinks after telling her, we are good on the drinks! But this time the prosecco bottle was empty to the neck and just ice and juice. The bartender lady looked overly-beat and needs to go home. By the look on her face. Every time the would bring out the food, they are clueless which table ordered what and had to repeat it like a 1000 times. Waited patiently 30 minute passes by usually our salad would had arrived first before the entrée. Moments after the 30 minute the guys comes out with one salad and walks back to the kitchen. I’m like Hello! We did order salad. He could of easily handle the task by responding ok then here is one and I’ll come back with the other. But it was nothing like that. He just kept talking over the food, you can see spit spraying onto the plate and I’m gross. Also note to server: steaks do not always come medium rare /so correct your self! Two chicken/steak combo(medium rare) side house salad you can keep & we are NEVEREVERCOMINGBACK! If you drive there is a margarita in Revere google it This place was closed for renovation ?! For what?!! New management and staff? Service here sucks and I do not see any improvement at all. Place still looks the same

We sat at the bar where all the workers were attentive, helpful and worked as a total team, kudos to the barstaff. Ordered nachos cowabunga around 7:30pm and at 8pm, still nothing, which was ok… until an order of nachos cowabunga appeared for friends of the blonde waitress(tattoo on back of neck) who walked in half hour after us. We wouldn’t care but this particular waitress was the most rude, obnoxious, and disgustingly serving her friends that sat on the rail next to the jukebox while paying customers waited. We did get our nachos, equally as terrible with over four side plates of lettuce on top of chips(is that serious?). What’s too bad is the three bartenders who we thought were great. It’s too bad they lose customers based on the rude servers around them.

Horrible horrible horrible. … 2 meals had completely rare steak, 1 meal they forgot the chicken and a side of corn that was overly burned(manager said it would be boiled). All 7 meals came out a different times. Last meal came 45 minutes after the first one was served. The customer service sucked. We were checked on twice. We had to get up and find the manager to complain. The people when you first come in were very very unpleasant. We will never never go back.

Went to margaritas last night, ugh. Waited for a waitress then decided to go to the bar to order drinks. The waitress was either pregnant or really out of Shape regardless she had a pissy attitude. When we told her we ordered at the bar she threw our salsa and nachos at us(total bitch) had to deal with the manager on that one. Then when our real nachos came out there were bugs in our sour cream. Yikes. Manager gave us the old sob story. People run away from this place.

I was craving shrimp all day and my husband wanted to go to chillis but I begged him to take me to margaritas because I was craving some Mexican Enchiladas he finally accepted and Ofc it was bad… Slowest service ever!!! After waiting for 15 – 20 min for our waitress to come we sat there all we got was a drink and chips, had to Ask a manager to take our order because it took forever, after we got our food we were done, they didn’t offer us dessert or anything the dirty plates were seating there forever, we had to flag people down for drink Refills, we finally got tired of waiting and had to get up and talk to the people standing at the door to get us the check, they finally got us the check but by that time my husband already told me he’s not coming back there…

Delicious! First time coming here and the service was amazing. She came to check up on us a lot and she gave us recommendations for drinks! Loved everything we ordered. Price was a bit high for 3 tacos though, and the corn was on the small side for 7 $. Salad was a bit too watery at the bottom so many too much sauce or water not drained.

I grew up in New England, so have had years of experience with the Margaritas chain of restaurants. I don’t know what has happened, but the food has gone waaay downhill. I ordered the carnitas tacos, and the meat was crunchy and overcooked, like it was left over and had been re-heated a few times. It was also ridiculously salty, so much so that I was thirsty and craving water the rest of the night. Gross. There are way too many restaurants around to come back to this one.

Margaritas has become the weekly hang out for my friends and I. We go every week for trivia night(Tuesdays from roughly 8 – 10) and it’s a fun time. The food here is nothing special but it’s good enough that we continue eating it. The margaritas are really good and it’s always a good time. Their full-moon parties leave a lot to be desired though. For the one the week of Halloween, they had a bunch of trivia questions but no real way to pick the person who raised their hand first. It was painful to watch, and frankly really annoying. But we’ll definitely be back.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. We went in at about 9pm. It took a few minutes to be seated, they had to wipe a table down, even though there were only two tables of diners in the place. Our waitress came over took our orders and we specified no meat when she asked. We happen to be vegetarians. I order a quesadilla from the appetizer menu and fries. My wife orders something from the vegetable section. We were really hungry so we were looking forward to the chips and salsa. The waitress was giving a second round to the tables next to us so we got hopeful. Nope. We waited until we saw her again, about 15 minutes and finally got them. About 20 minutes later the food comes and mine has chicken in it. I send it back and figure I’ll just eat the fries, my wife starts on hers which is essentially veggie fajitas on a non sizzling plate. My fries never come so she shares her plate with me. I take a couple of bites and then I feel something in my mouth. Yup. It was steak. So we start picking through it and there were tiny prices of steak and chicken in it. We finally saw our waitress for the first time since the chips came(different person served) and she got a manager. The manager became argumentative claiming it was not meat but just onions. These must be some special onions because they look, feel and taste just like meat. I’ve worked in the food service industry both in the kitchen and serving and never heard of such a magical onion. The meal was comped but in reality they should have paid us for wasting our time while we could have been elsewhere. Even though everything was terrible, the waitress still got tipped. The food part was beyond her control. It actually sounded like a party was going on in the kitchen. How this place is still in business is amazing.

Bar review only! We have yet to try the food, other than the complimentary chips and salsa(which were delicious). We had great service on a busy Friday night at the bar. Even with a packed bar, the bartenders treated us as friends, not just customers. Our house margaritas were tasty, and not overly sweet like many chains. The food around us looked and smelled amazing, so I can’t wait to return and try the menu out!

I’m never going back here. The service was ridiculously slow.(We went through 2 bowls of chips before the waitress stopped over to take our drink order!) The steak fajita was $ 17(with tax) and tasted terrible. I didn’t finish it and the waitress was surprised, asking me twice if I was sure I didn’t want a box. With other restaurants in Station Landing, I’ll be visiting them next time I’m in this area — NOT Margaritas.

I should always go with my fellow Unilocalers. This was the tale of the good and not so good. I had two Margaritas on the suggestion of my server a coconut which was way too sweet and a Hornitos which was very good. The salsa was very good spicy but not too hot. The chips were not up to par many soggy from oil. The app I had(Mayan shrimp) was fantastic The main course was bad. I love Chile Rellenos and asked if it was crispy and was told it was however it arrived soaked in oil and just not up to par. I would try the place again but nothing special here.

Terrible service. Waited over an hour without any food coming out. Food was freezing and dry when it came out, clearly it was sitting for a while before we got it. Asked for our server, who couldn’t be found for at least ten minutes. Don’t waste your time — go to Chipotle.

We come here every Friday’s pay day for drinks and today wasn’t anything different. The food was good, now I am a little biased just because I know the real stuff opposed to the semi fake stuff. They present the food real well here I had the taquitos pork filled little rolls and they were good. My co-workers had the bone in chicken wings they they smelled and look delicious. I didn’t have any of it but they sure looked good. Now the only downside was that we normally have the same waitress but she was not around this time. She even remembered us as soon as we walked in. She was working the bar, and for her not to be there did hurt us a little bit. She was always on top of things the guy that we had today was very ghostly let say. Always disappearing and reappearing when he pleased. I was a little disappointed on that because they normally have descent service. Above all else the margaritas were amazing good quality stuff. Definitely the place for after work drinks.

I can recall very few instances where I’ve become so frustrated by the failure of a restaurant’s service to actually walk out before our food arrived, but my first and what will be my only visit to Margarita’s in Medford was a complete disappointment. Visiting in the mid-afternoon around 2pm on a Saturday, the restaurant was deserted and the kind hostesses seated us outside on the patio. Our waiter came immediately, took our order, and brought us two great drinks — a crisp Dos Equis lager and the skinny margarita. We then finished one bowl, then a second bowl of chips and realized 45 minutes had passed and our waiter was nowhere to be found. We asked another waitress(there were a few tables of people eating on the patio) who brought the waiter over and he reassured us that our food(one dish of enchiladas to share) would be ready in 5 minutes. We waited another 20 minutes — for Mexican food, which at comparable establishments such as Border Café takes at most 30 minutes to throw together — and still did not receive our food. After waiting a total of an hour and again having to physically walk into the restaurant to the hostesses to ask for our waiter, we gave up and told them we were leaving and didn’t even take the food to go. Luckily the drinks were given to us on the house, but it did not make up for the more than an hour we waited, hungry, with very few people in the restaurant. Luckily the parking was easy, but just keep driving!

¡salud!

Buenos dias amigos– I haven’t’ been here in about 3+ years so when it was a co-worker’s/ friend’s last day on the job we stopped in. I ordered the fish burrito and it was very, very good(I didn’t take pics because I didn’t want to be rude while we were chatting/eating. Sorry folks). She had the fish tacos & our other friend had the taco salad. Everyone loved their food. Now the guacamole. Oh my heavens. It was super creamy and tasty. I’ve never had such creamy guac. before. Ooooof! Overall, I’m glad that we came here & now I’ll probably frequent this joint much more often. Adiós!
