Love this place! only place i would go to for dry cleaning. great service & they’re really respectful!

This place can’t be trusted with alterations. I left my favorite winter coat with them, for replacement or repair of the pockets. One week later, when they said it would be done, i went in to retrieve it. At that point, they informed me that they couldn’t do the job. With a look of dismay, the cashier informed me that the pockets needed to be «replaced». Er, yeah, that’s what I told the person who took it in and who informed me that they could do the job. Ugh.
Next, I demanded my coat back. To which he replied «It’s not here. It’s at the cleaners». «Uh», I commented, perplexed, «I though *this* was the cleaners.» Apparently, they sent it to a different cleaners to actually be worked on. Or *not* worked on, and not followed up on, as the case may be. My coat was in still-​unrepaired limbo. But he assured me it would triumphantly return the next morning. Alas, return it did. In exactly the same condition in which I had surrendered it. Couldn’t they have at least called me to inform me that they couldn’t perform the alterations that they said they could? And not act utterly bewildered when I asked as much? It seems like a very basic element of customer service.
I have no qualms with their dry cleaning, except for the fact that they apparently do not do the actual cleaning on site. But why bother returning somewhere when you’ve had an intensely negative customer service experience? It’s not like they’re the only cleaners around.
Neither my beloved coat nor I shall set foot in this establishment again.
