The Kama Photography

Karolina had done my first son’s newborn photos, which my husband and I loved, so we were excited to work with her again for our first family photo session to be taken outdoors. To our dismay, we were left with underwhelming photos that lacked the clarity and detail you hope for when working with a professional photographer.
I had booked our family session at a nearby park in early November so we could capture the fall foliage. The session itself went fine and while there were certain things I questioned at the time of the session, I figured Karolina was the professional so I kept my thoughts to myself.
When we received the edited digital photos in mid-​December (5-​week turnaround), I was disappointed in what I saw. In one of my favorite photos, there was a glaring price tag on one of the props, which I had not noticed before. In another shot taken on a gazebo, it was obvious in the background that a part of it was under construction (which was something I should’ve mentioned at the time of the shoot but assumed Karolina was not including it in the shot). And the beautiful fall foliage background I wanted to capture turned out looking muddy.
After emailing my concerns to Karolina, she promptly replied stating that she would make some edits and email me when they were done. However, I never heard from her again (it has been two years). I still had some photos printed to frame in the house but I can’t seem to get over some of the details I mentioned in this review every time I look at those photos.

We could’t be happier with our experience with The Kama Photography. Karolina was extremely kind and patient during our newborn photo session. The resulting photos were absolutely beautiful. Thanks Karolina!!!

Karolina is so talented– we’d done 3 shoots with her by the time our baby was just 8 weeks old (incl. maternity), and we will keep coming back! For us, having a photographer with an amazing eye/​vision, baby (and dog) whispering skills, and an option for print release so we can share our photos has been the tri-​fecta. Even though I’d rather keep this business my own little secret, I really can’t recommend The Kama highly enough.
