The nurses at this office are nice and pleasant. I made an appointment & made sure they took my insurance. The reason for my visit was this nasty cough I’ve been having and allergies. I would get bitten by an ant & my body would react horribly to the bite. Obviously, I know I’m allergic to ants… but to what extent. Thus, the reason for my visit. Unfortunately, my visit with the doc wasn’t too great. The reasoning behind my mysterious cough? Allergies. I asked if I had a normal reaction to ant bites and I got«take Benadryl.» Ok… I know that but one small ant bite on a Friday night ruined my whole weekend because I couldn’t walk Friday-Sunday. I asked for an allergy test but he basically shot that idea down and said to try the prescription first. Anyways, a short breathing test without me breathing into anything was done and I was released with an answer of allergies with a prescription. After a couple of weeks of me getting worse, I went to an asthma/allergy specialist. Turns out, I had a sinus infection, my lungs are swollen and im highly allergic to most environmentals(grass, weeds, etc). Needless to say, Dr. George didn’t help me. Yes, he was right in saying it was allergies… but it was so much more than that. At the very least, he could’ve given me the allergy test like I wanted or referred me to someone else. He didn’t help me because if I had gone and laid out in some grass and then got bit by ants… something terrible could’ve happened to me. My current doctor was afraid something like that could happen so, I’ve been prescribed the proper medicines and told the right precautions to take. On top of all this mess… I received a bill in the mail saying my insurance isn’t covering me when I asked the doctor’s office if my insurance was taken there. I’m going to pay Dr. George to tell me all my problems are because of allergies. I just didn’t find my visit with him useful. It was honestly a waste of my time and money.
