Legacy Hyundai of McDonough

What a horrible dealership. They are the ultimate bait and switch dealer. On their website, they show a rate that is much lower than anybody else. I knew to be skeptical, so I talked with their internet sales manager about pricing. I repetively asked for a breakdown of how the price was so low. He kept on saying he would give it to me but never did. However, he assured me via email that this was the price that was given to EVERY customer. I figured with this email, I would be safe. Not so.
I went over there (a nearly 1 hour drive from Gwinnett), and talked with a salesman. He told me the price was as the website quoted. However, he said that the manager would give the final price. I patiently waited for it. It ended up being many thousands more than the salesman quoted me. Obviosuly this was upsetting. Usually a manager at a car dealership decreases the price a bit, not increases. And they had thousands in dealer added options. No other Hyundai dealer I went to did this. Most had at most 2 – 300 dollars worth of fairly useful options. This has all the fake protection stuff in theirs.
I will admit that i raised my voice a bit, but when you hear such a dishonest dealer, its upsetting. I did not say anything bad or use any profanity, but then the manager comes out in a huff. I tell him his online manager gave me a price and I offer to let him read the email. He flat out refuses, claiming he can read it on his own time. When I tell him he’s running a dishonest business, he then basically escorts me out.
Do yourself a favor and don’t bother driving out here for this dealer. Every other dealer in metro Atlanta treated me well except this on. What a poor excuse for a dealer, and what a horrible manager. I was told the price I was quoted was for everyone, but unless everyone they serve is a recent college grad who was in the military and now drives for über, that is total crap.

I took my car in to be serviced because my driver side air bag light would not go off. I was told l my air bag didn’t work and never worked. The service man said if I hit a brick wall my air bag wouldn’t deploy. So I’m thinking this is a manufacturer problem and my air bag would be fixed because it’s a safety issue. No! He said it was a 1100 $ out of pocket expense, because my warranty was over. I had to contact the manufacturer and file a claim to have them agree with me that this should have been taken care of just because of the safety aspect. I’m disappointed that Legacy would not go the extra mile to make sure that my car was safe for me to drive, instead of trying to earn money for an issue that was a manufacturing problem. Definitely lost a customer…
