All Star Rafting

Derek and Bree were awesome guides! The whole staff (Brody, Silas and more) were easy to work with and helpful and friendly. We had a blast, would highly recommend All Star and appreciated their flexibility and fun attitude.

We took our two ten year old grand kids and their parents on a full day trip. It was an experience we shall always remember. Special thanks to Derek our guide and the staff. The lunch was great! The knowledge, patients, and understanding of our guide is what has put the wheels in motion for a 3 day event next year. We are so happy with this experience that we can hardly wait. Thank You

My 20 year old son came up from Cali for a visit and I booked a half day rafting trip with these guys based on Unilocal reviews and ratings! Perfect choice, we had the best time, from the time of booking, our guides on the water, to receiving the pictures we ordered from a contracted photographer, this was everything we could have hoped for!

Last Sunday I was thinking of something to do with the family for a few days and remembered floating Deschutes years ago without kids. Fun then but now with two boys and my wife we booked a trip the for the following Monday. Lots of choices and company’s fighting for your business but All Star Rafting stood out in the crowd. Website was easy to navigate and quick. Check in was a breeze and the staff was so nice. Our guides Dereck and I believe Cory were outstanding and made our day as a family really something special. Your experience and safety are top priority for them as well. Lunch was over the top with many choices and it was all prepared on the spot near the river. Great job driver/​cook! Wish I could remember her name, sorry. The river was perfect and the nature we saw was unforgettable. Thank you and we’ll be back very soon to see you.

My wife and I, plus two of our sons (age 18 and 21) did a half-​day trip down the Deschutes with All-​Star last week, and had an absolute blast. We’ve done the Colorado and the American previously, and we’ve been with some fine outfits, but this was our best experience ever. The river was challenging without being scary — one 4 and a few 3s — and the scenery was gorgeous. We even saw a bald eagle! We totally lucked out on our guide, Sophia. After several months of training, it was her first time being a guide. As a result, Brody rode along with us. Sophia is a natural, and really did a great job. Each of them would have been terrific alone, but together they were incredible. Brody has clearly been doing this a while; in addition to being technically sound (he dropped us into a spot where we could surf, something we’d never even heard of in our previous trips), he was really knowledgeable about the flora, fauna, and history of the area. If you’ve never rafted, you need to try it. And if you’re in the northwest, I most heartily recommend All Star Rafting. Next time, we’re doing the White Salmon!

Three days and two nights on the Deschutes with All Star and I didn’t want to go home! Our guide, Derek, and gear hauler Brian were wonderful and so much fun to have with our group of 4. Derek is not only completely knowledgeable about white water rafting, but the geography and wildlife of the Deschutes — tells some pretty darn good jokes (and some groaners too) once you get him going lol. Brian scored us prime first come campsites and had everything but the tents set when we landed at the end of the day. The food was great and plenty of it — always at just the right time and never rushed. They did an outstanding job catering to our one gluten free member — they always had the same number of options available for her including desserts and specialty items… It was a great surprise! Our group was a hodgepodge of having and lacking personal equipment, so we used some of All Stars tents, drybags, sleeping pads and sleeping bags — all were in fantastic shape and great quality… I highly recommend leaving your thin little camping mat at home and using one if their 3″ thick lux ones! I will absolutely take another trip with All Star and hope Derek and Brian are available again.

Had one of the best adventures of my life, rafting down the Deschutes with All Star Rafting as our guide. Guide Master Derek not only told us what we need, but how to, what to expect and also added some amazing insight and background with a fun twist. His passion for showing us what rafting can be, should be and was, was incredible.
Thank you All Star, highly recommend asking for Derek and don’t forget to grab a tank top, t shirt or baseball cap for a souvenir.

Absolutely fantastic. Rafted the Deschutes this morning and Elle was our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and a helluva lot of fun. Thank you so much for a fantastic first experience white water rafting :) Next year we’ll do the White Salmon :)

The group we were with had four guides and four rafts. My wife requested (ahead of time) that we use Inflatable Kayaks. They were really cool about it and provided the gear and whatever help we would want.
We’d done some IK before, but did a full day on the Deschutes and really liked it. The guides were professional, kept everyone on-​task while still having a lot of fun. The driver was safe, the equipment was in great shape.
My wife got stuck behind and panicked at Oak Springs rapids (class 4). One of the guides got out and walked back to her, and carried the kayak up the hill and around the rapids. She didn’t make my wife feel bad, she just did it with a smile on her face and kept saying «no problem!»
Our group had 30’s (us), kids, 40’s & 50’s. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. The lunch was good and there was plenty of food.
I’d definitely go with All-​Star again.

Just went rafting this past weekend with my mother and we had a FABULOUS time with All Star. We had funny, knowledgeable, and skilled guides (thanks Russell and Mac!), who knew how to make it a great trip for everyone from age 9 to 63. Gorgeous on the Deschutes River, and Maupin is a fun small town perfect for relaxing and getting some sun. Definitely recommend this group!

Raft Broke inside the Boat… But the people were super nice and helpfull besides that! What a River! That was freakin AWESOME…

This was our first time rafting and we picked the perfect company to go with! The tour guide (s), especially Brody, did a fantastic job taking us through the different class of rapids, creating a memorable and fun experience for us. Thanks to All Star for making our vacation more fun than expected!!!

I have rafted the Deschutes in Oregon and the White Salmon in Washington with All Star Rafting, and I had an amazing time on both of my trips.
The guides on both rivers were excellent. On the Deschutes our guide was a very experienced young woman who had been leading rafting trips for a number of years. On the White Salmon, our guide was a man who had been kayaking for years, and the techinical skills that he shared with us and his love of the river made the trip great. I felt very safe in the hands of both of these experienced individuals.
I had a better time on the Deschutes because the rapids are rated a bit higher so the river offers more excitment, but it’s still okay for kids. We were able to ride on the front of the boat for some of the lower rated rapids, and there is an area of the river where we were allowed to jump in which was really fun. Plus, it was a full day trip complete with a picnic lunch. It was just typical picnic fare, nothing special but it still hit the spot.
I enjoyed the White Salmon as well, but it was a fairly lazy river until the end where you go over a waterfall. We jumped off a bridge too, and I enjoyed that but the river itself was a bit boring for my tastes. Plus, the water was very cold. Wet suits were required on this trip so we were okay unless the water was choppy.
I would recommend this company to anyone, but please, go SOBER! Rivers are very dangerous, and I know several people who have had close calls on the Deschutes. Being alert is critical to your safety and to the safety of those with you.

I am sunburned and exhausted thanks to All Star Rafting. Yes, this is a good thing.
Wow, another awesome trip down the Deschutes. I’ve led a group down the last few years — the (ever-​changing) group however has been going for 16 years, all with All Star, and all with great results. We’ve never had a problem with our reservations, shuttles, or delivery. Everyone is super friendly and helpful and makes sure we have a fantastic time.

A little whitewater rafting fun with the boys can only lead to an adrenaline fueled afternoon. Our cute guide was informative and she was willing to make us pay for our sideways remarks! This rafting company was quick and efficient about getting us in the river, with all the normal precursory safety instructions etc. Boxcar was a test, too bad we couldn’t push through to the standing wave! We had a blast and our photos prove it. Now get out and run a Class IV you wimp! BTW Geisha had fun too!
