We ordered a take out menu. Nothing complicated at all. An order of original fireballs with garlic parmesan sauce and a double order of Fungus Balls, mild with extra cheese. Get home and the order was completely messed up. The original balls had the mild sauce and the fungus balls had the garlic parmesan sauce. The cheese wasn’t even melted. It looked like it was just thrown on top of it. We called and were told that they don’t credit anything unless you bring the food back in with your receipt. Being a half hour away, we weren’t going back. Finally the manager got on the phone after we said we were done with this establishment since this isn’t the first time the order has been wrong. More times than not, it’s wrong. She took our name and number and said that she’ll «Credit» us the next time we come in or order. I highly doubt that we’ll be going back. If we do go to a Jed’s, it’ll be the one on Holland-Sylvania and Angola.

First let me say the bbq ribs were good and only other bbq on menu was a sandwich. This is NOT a bbq restaurant, it’s a sports bar with a sports bar /chicken menu. The wait staff was friendly but not very efficient. Potentially the manager, came over and asked if all ok after we got our food. Told him we did not receive our appetizer and he saw to it that was corrected. Overall I would go there again IF I want chicken or beer but for BBQ won’t be my go to place.

The food is always good! My server Beth however, was exceptional! She is an exceptional server, a cheerful bundle of competence that is hard to find these days, and a joy to watch as she works! She knows the menu, and her suggestions we’re spot on! She will turn you’re bad day into pleasant one. She is also very easy on the eyes… Thanks Beth for improving my day! Such a hottie! Thank you Jeds for the experience! Again, I have been here before, always a pleasure, but it was Beth that inspired me to leave a review! AWESOMESAUCE!

Place is just three stars. Food is okay and pretty cheap. I had their chicken gyro which was pretty good. Beers were 50% off which is a plus.

Pros: Good lunch menu and pricing. Very good waitress, who also had to bartender. Fresh tasting burgers and fries. Cons: Pizza tasted like cheap jo jo’s pizza, fresh made pizza would be a huge upgrade over this. Interiors red and yellow… ugly

It felt like I was about two years to late, seemed like I missed it hay day. Everything seemed dirty. Sat at bar was going to eat but decided against it. I think they invest in some cleaning supplies might be worth it.

It was getting late, and for whatever reason, I just decided to walk in. Jed’s has a sports bar atmosphere. On my first visit a tried the Old English Burger,” with mushrooms, sautéed onion, and Swiss cheese. It was delicious. During this visit, I learned of these«balls» that seemed to be very popular. Through fate and two other local establishments having a 30+ minute wait time, I returned to Jed’s the next evening. It was hard to choose from freakballs, garbageballs, hogballs and the like. I decided on the Phillyballs, which were a medium flavored chicken balls covered with Provolone cheese, onions and peppers. The serving was large and through some miracle, I managed to finish the entire plate. They were that good.

I came to Jed’s yesterday for a carry out dinner. A friend and I sat at the bar and looked thru the menu. The bartender was fast and polite. Great service. I ordered a double order of bacon cheese balls, regular order of tacoballs, kids mozzarella stick, kids cheeseburger. When I got home, I unpacked the food. The double order of bacon cheese balls had neither bacon or cheese. The chicken was the amount of a single order. The mozzarella sticks were over fried to the point they were empty shells. The chicken itself was over cooked and flavorless. I called last night upon discovering the state my $ 40 order was in. I left my name and number as well as this very complaint. I was told the manager was busy and would call me back in 10 minutes,…24 hrs later no phone call. I want my money back. This isn’t the first time the food was horrible, but I gave them more chances. That’s done and over with. I’m never spending another $ at any Jed’s location.

What a shame this location has become. The owners… the govito bros took over some additional locations outside of their original BG location. Evidential this was not wise. Food is subpar and service is deplorable. The final straw was undercooked chicken in my wife’s salad, that after numerous attempts to speak with a manager resulted in one of the govito owners offering me 10% off when the meal should have been comped. This resulted in me never returning in 2 yrs, and I never will. I never hesitate in sharing this terrible experience with whomever I can because it was easily rectified, but govito chose the cheap route and I am happy to throw my opinion out on what a crappy restaurant this has become. Learn some customer service skills govito!

My order was very simple. I ordered barbq balls and steak fries. I expected boneless chicken wings but what I received was way better. The pieces of chicken were perfect! No fat and cooked thoroughly. Big chunks of chicken breast. The sauce was very good and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves chicken wings…

Our team made reservations for 42 in the back room on a Saturday night in March at 6:30. The restaurant had the room reserved and ready. That is probably the best I can say for this horribly run restaurant. Having been in the restaurant management field in the past, I do know how things are supposed to go. The ‘manager’ on duty assigned 2 servers for a group of 42 or so. Please tell me in what country, other than a 3rd rate rate country, would someone think that 2 servers could handle 42 people, sat at one time, to take drink orders, deliver drinks, and take orders, and bring them out. Tell me that country, and we can send this manager there to meet his skill set. We did receive our drinks 30 minutes later, or least some of us did, and the rest walked up to the bar to order and get our own. We ordered our meals around 7:15. The kids(1412 year old and younger), went to play video games and spend money on balls and etc. At 8:15 they were still playing games and spending money, at 8:45(1.5 hours after our order) they were still playing games. At 9:15, the gig was up, no more money, no more drinks, and still no food(except maybe 3 people). The manager was useless, and blamed us for the failure of the kitchen(he kept trying to serve the front of the house instead of his customers in the back). When asked to bring out the kids meals, he still blamed us for not ordering off of a non-existent catering menu, and pretty much said he didn’t care. Many of us left at this point. I can’t tell you how the food was, as my group(8 of us) were hungry, and now upset, we paid for our drinks(tipped our waitress-who did a good job), and headed for Five Guys for burgers. The food on other peoples plates in the front of the restaurant looked average, but they were complaining about the speed of service. I don’t have much good to say about Jed’s. Short advice: Go somewhere else.

Jed’s is okay. The prices aren’t the worst, Fridays they have pretty cheap beer which is good. The place is pretty big, and the crowd is younger. All in all an average bar.

Came here on a Saturday night with a large group(50ish) of people. We made the reservation far in advance and we’re told they could accommodate us. Got to the restaurant at 6:30 and placed all food and drink orders by 7. The servers were excellent. We received our drinks right away as well as any appetizers. Unfortunately, that’s where it ended. At 9:15, we still had no food and a manager who kept making excuses as to why. As we were about to leave, our food finally came so we took it to go. We had a Gyro and Chicken Gyro. Both came with about four pieces of meat and stuffed with a bunch lettuce to try and cover it up. It was awful to say the least. Our appetizer was the«Freak Balls» which was just boneless chicken wings smothered in fries and cheese. This was one of their supposed«speciality» dishes. Nothing too special about it. This was just an awful dining experience. Bad food and a long wait is one thing but to have a manager who did nothing to help the situation is inexcusable. He tried to blame it on us the whole time. Our servers were great, they did everything that was within their control to serve us. The manager did them no help. I know Toledo isn’t known for their dining establishments but any restaurant around that area has to be better than this one.

Came in on a Sunday evening around 5:00 with my fiancé. The hostesses were preoccupied with something at the hostess desk, and it took them a minute to realize we needed to be seated. Eventually, we were led to a table and sat down. We waited what seemed like forever, and we were not offered drinks or anything. Everyone else around us was getting served, but we were not. Asked the waitress who was serving everyone else(except us) if she was our waitress, and she said that she wasn’t, and that she would go get our waitress. We waited another couple minutes, and still no one came to take our drink order. So we just got up and left. Will never go there again!

We drove down from Detroit to see a show at the awesome Stranihan Theater. Came here on a tip from fellow Unilocalers and Trip Advisor. We grabbed a booth and a couple drinks and… well… chowed down. Our waitress was sweet and very helpful. We got freak balls, fried pickles and a healthy salad to not make us feel so guilty. Everything was great! We’ll be back.

I don’t think the map location is quite right, it’s in front of the strip mall between Dussell Drive and the Turnpike, not south of Dussell. Anyway, here it goes. Jed’s and it’s many previous incarnations is a bit of a nostalgia trip for me. We used to hit the original location back in the day. This location was originally a Chi-Chi’s way back when. Jed’s is a sports bar and restaurant. It’s a decent place to get your fried food fix and watch a game. Really, though it seems like any other sports bar /wing joint these days. A mix of families and football fans get eat fireballs and drink beer and watch games. The beer selection isn’t too exciting. They’ve got Yuengling like just about every bar in Ohio. If you’re looking for something a little more rare, fugetaboutit. I’d meet up with friends here, but it wouldn’t be my first choice these days.

This Jeds is amazing. You get a ton of chicken chunks when you order. They have good selection of beer and alcohol. Definitely the best sports bar in the greater Toledo area for your money.

Been driving past this place many times… Finally dropped in… First of all — not a barbeque place as advertised — not big deal for me. It’s a sport bar with a decent selection of food on the menu. I ordered the Greek«fireballs» to see what the heck they were. They tasted good. Nice place, lots of beer, very good service. The inside is MUCH nicer than the outside — from the outside — you just can’t tell what your getting into. Sports teams, young and old come here. Looks like a good party place for FRI and SAT

A welcome surprise after a long day at cedar point amusement park. The waitress didn’t know what beers they had on tap, but I randomly ordered a lake Erie monster double IPA, and it was awesome and cheap $ 4.50 a pint. I then ordered a burger which was slightly over cooked. It didn’t matter, though, because it was a giant burger, tasted great, and had heaping toppings. The seasoned fries tasted like fresh cut. Service was awesome.
