I have never written a negative review before but in this case I need too. I am totally fine with people making mistakes it happens not a problem no big deal; but to then argue about it and reuse the same cut up burger instead of just making me a fresh new one correctly so it wouldn’t be overcooked is just ridiculous! I really just can’t believe they didn’t see anything wrong with doing that and then snidely say to me they do that all the time and no one ever complains about it so why are u in order to justify it, like I shouldn’t be complaining that I’m not getting a fresh burger to try. Plus argued then that it wasn’t recooked but it was, which would be just as bad because then it’s an old cold burger that I’m getting and I guess that’s ok too. How could I go back to a place that wouldn’t even eat the cost of one burger to give a new customer that has never walked thru the door before, what they ordered in the first place. I just don’t get that! Not good business.

This place sucks. Not a soul in here and it still took 20 minutes to get food. Ordered a kids burger-came out burnt and dry with a slice of finest kraft single money can buy. The bun was straight from Shoprite. My Chicken Balsamic wrap was 75% lettuce. With so many choices and an opportunity to try something new, this was a mistake that won’t happen again. Will not be coming back and can’t see this place being around long.

«The Burger Shoppe»(formerly«25 Burgers») is a great place for dinner or lunch. I often swing by with my friends for dinner. I can’t recall the exact name of it but I get a BBQ bacon burger. It is very good although very greasy, but its a burger joint so you can’t complain. Its annoying that it doesn’t come with fries since so many other burger places do that by default. The burger was priced ok, a little on the expensive side, but I don’t mind since the taste is on par with the price. You are not paying for McDonald’s quality here. The interior of the restaurant is 1950s themed, vinyl booth seats, 50s and 60s music, and fake autographed photos of Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, and more. Overall I think that this place is great and would recommend a stop if you are in the Matawan-Aberdeen area.

So, it’s a burger not cooked to temp, but still extremely tasty. I went double patty, and it wasn’t too big to eat. The bun was good, and the toppings tasted fresh. Overall, a pretty good burger. I’d take this over 5 guys, but not quite as good as fuddruckers. The chicken sandwich I got for my wife was fried chicken, which was probably my bad for not reading the board well enough. Again, good bun, fresh ingredients. The big disappointment was the nacho cheese. Just gross, over-processed yellow goo. The chili cheese dog was swimming in it, and the chili was just not good. Skip anything with this stuff on it and you are good to go. The tater tots were awesome, but the waffle fries had some thick ones that tasted like raw potato. Weird and not good. Not sure if they are hand cut, but if they are they need to be fried longer. Still, overall, a nice option for a quick eat.

Loved the burger shop! My dad order the cajun chicken burger that was delicious! It was blackened chicken with carmelized onions and spicy mayo! I wasn’t expecting it to be that good since it wss a burger place, but they nailed it! I got the classic cheeseburger that was on point! I also got a hot dog that was also delicious! The bun was different it was like a burger bun! My brother got the oreo milkshake and i got the chocolate! They was awesome! I liked the oreo one more!

Having a few of my friends suggest this place for good burgers in town I finally took them up on their idea. Really glad we did… my family of four we all had different burgers… everybody love there’s and I tasted a little bit of each one of the burgers… they were all great. Place was clean priced comparable to the other burger joints

Ordered the classic cheese burger, ingredients were fresh and the burger was a good size. You can definitely tell they are using quality meat. I enjoyed meal and would return.

The food is great, the location is mostly a Starbucks parking lot so it doesn’t get the audience it deserves

The aspiring Vegan in me has been losing a lot of battles lately. And places like The Burger Shop aren’t helping. Sometimes the body just craves a greasy, crunchy hamburger patty, topped with oozey, gooey cheese, and one’s choice of accoutrements. And sometimes you just gotta scratch that itch. That itch came on real strong the other day. Unfortunately, there’s a lot of really bad burgers out there. And the better burgers tend to be mediocre at best. If I’m going to use one of my proverbial«burger cards» in a given month, I want that burger to be awesome. And that is generally why I migrate toward places like Five Guys and Shake Shack, who undoubtedly rule their category of fast casual burger joints. Well, there’s a new guy on the block. I’m pretty sure The Burger Shop was once a 25 Burgers, which I recall not being all that great. Whatever the case may be, the burgers here are excellent. Cooked smashburger-style, the grill chef gets a great sear and crunch on both sides of the patty, locking in all that juicy deliciousness inside. As a rule though, the burgers are cooked medium to medium-well here. I prefer a bloody medium rare, but as long as the patty isn’t dried out, this style is fine from time to time. There’s something for everyone here, even my vegetarian wife and my super-finicky children. The boy loves his chicken nuggets, mozzarella sticks, and milkshakes. Check, check, and check. My daughter loves a well-done grilled hot dog and fries — and they’ve got that, too. And the old lady gets to rock a veggie burger dressed up just the way she likes it. Happy children, happy wife: happy life. I highly recommend the Trenton Burger, topped with crispy, thin-sliced pork roll, and a generous amount of American cheese. If you’re from out of town and never heard of pork roll(aka Taylor Ham), then you’re in for one helluva treat.(It’s a Jersey thing.) The décor is definitely a click above Five Guys, with a retro ‘50s diner-like feel. Inside, the place is immaculately clean. Service comes with a smile, and our complicated order was executed perfectly. We’ll be back.

Just picked up some food to go a burger and an order of onion rings. I’ve had their onion rings before and remember having more than enough to share with my boyfriend this time however I paid $ 4.00 for a total of 5 onion rings and when I asked out of curiosity if 5 was in fact in order I was told they were weighed out. I’m just a little confused most likely would not get the onion rings again.

Worst burger I’ve ever had in my life. Grease filled my hands. Most bland burger patty. I would like to award it no stars but can’t. Lettuce was fresh.

Stopped here on a whim after hiking around Cheesequake State Park. It has a 50’s feel for the décor, and the food is quality. I got the El Paso burger which could have used more guacamole, but overall it was delicious. Definitely recommend it for burger and a shake!

I’ve tried the burger shop twice now! I had a bacon cheese burger the first time around and the second time I had a crispy chicken sandwich. They were very good both times! Service was good and my order came out really quick.

Ok so I’m a burger fan must say that the number 6 A-1 Bleu Burger on the onion bun had to be one of the best Angus burgers I have had in a long while. Cooked to a perfect medium and so fresh.

I’ve been here twice and wasn’t pleased at all. The first time I had the burger with pulled pork and the pork tasted old, cold and just bland. So I ended up taking it off. The second time I thought I’d keep it simple and get a burger with bacon, also the burger tasted horrible. I didn’t know what was wrong with it but it tasted just bad! I ended up getting a milk shake because I was starving! I might give it one more try… not sure yet.

There was nothing special about this place. There was plenty to choose from on the menu, but they don’t ask you to specify how you want your burger cooked. I just ordered a classic cheeseburger with grilled onions. It fell apart & was just blah. Their french fries were battered & seasoned, similar to Checkers fries. I didn’t like them at all. The employees were inattentive. We ordered to dine in & they brought the food to our table in a to go bag instead of on trays. Disappointing. Everything tasted like regret.

My first review was for«25 Burgers». They changed to «The Burger Shop» in Spring 2015 and since then, the burgers are a little less cooked, a little less hot, and they seem to have more trouble getting orders correct, even though you see the order being entered correctly on the register in front of you. Is that the price you pay for 30 burgers… or new management? They say they deliver, but with incorrect order problems, I won’t chance it. At least they changed the music so you don’t have to be 70 years old to remember any of the songs. There is also some outdoor seating now, and they continue to have 4 selections of cold tea in addition to soda.

Honestly don’t know why this is rated so good? Burgers R dry and over cooked… Only thing good was the sweet potato fries but not worth just going here for that.

A couple years ago i was searching for a good burger joint something that just hit the spot and satisfied my craving for a fesh god quality burger then a friend recomended 25 burgers. Hands down the best burger place i have yet to encounter, literally every time I’m back in NJ I don’t care if its down the road from where I’m staying or across the state I make the drive, because in my opinion it has so far beat just about any burger I have had anywhere else 5guys please…, smashburger hah, fud… what, I haven’t had much luck down south either, 25burgers is still one of my favorites. Haven’t ever had a problem with them. Its clean inside the food quality is fresh and delicious from the buns to the meat and the fries and the milk shakes whoa talk about getting your moneys worth I don’t care what anyone might say I’ll give you the down and dirty as best as possible. Price, OK each persons going to spend approx 10 bucks depending on what you get, but let’s be honest are you gonna be able to really beat that if you go to bk or mcd’s? Next let’s focus on selection, the name of the place is 25 burgers, its in the name they have 25 burger selections on the menu, some more unique than others. Now let’s move on to food quality, its a freaking burger joint not a high class steak house, you go there to get a good fresh JUICYBURGER so if having your hands get a little dirty over a delicious meal be warned
