If you want to have an awesome selection of toppings and super tasty pizza from a local joint, do go to Leonardo’s. The staff is super friendly, pizza is superb and there are so many KINDS of pizza to get. It’s actually very difficult for me to decide when I grab a slice from here because, well, they all are so flippin’ good! Thank you, Leonardo’s!

Leonardo’s is the Best pizza in massapequa it has all the authentic staples of a New York pizzeria like rice balls and the best speciality slices. I love their margarita slice they also have a vodka margarita my boyfriend had broccoli rabe with sausage and pancetta and onion. He loved the sausage slice it was covered in sausage! I had a white slice it’s good quality mozzarella on all their pizza. You can tell it’s the homemade stuff, really makes the difference.

This place lacks consistency. Sometimes we order a pie and it’s great. Other times it’s burnt or overly oily. Last time we ordered a spicy chicken pie it was so oily and floppy we couldn’t even eat it. Like a sea otter’s fin. That’s NEVER acceptable. The heroes are good. Could be great but I can’t deal with rolling the dice every time I order a pie. Get your act together Leo.

Great location. Disappointing Pizza. The staff is so nice I can’t give less than three stars. But the Grandmas Pizza was as dry as my grandma’s — — - this is a great spot for a pizza place! The staff is so nice I will give a second shot

Leonardo’s is in my personal Top 3 Pizzeria’s for both«regular» and specialty Pizza slices. I’ve lived in Italy, I work in Manhattan and I’ve been a manager at a Pizzeria near Queens and Leonardo’s makes an exceptional slice. Dominic, the owner, is an awesome and friendly guy. The staff is great. The regular pizza slice has the perfect combination of ripe tomato sauce, great dough and a nice, crispy crust that isn’t covered in flour dust(a huge peeve of mine). I’ve eaten every single specialty slice and they’re all 10⁄10. The Buffalo Chicken and Chicken Francese are two of my personal favorites. I’m also obsessed with the«fig» slice and the potato slice. You need to try this Pizza if you come to Massapequa. It’s a little small and can get loud at times because the space is so compact, but that’s never really bothered me because the pizza is so dang good!

This place is like a HIDDENGEM, A GOLDENTREASURE out of most pizza places in the Massapequa’s, it’s in the CVS Shopping center on Broadway but it’s all the way down hidden in the corner. THEYHAVEPHENOMENALFOOD! From the Pizza all the way to the Pastas, it’s all delectable! I LOVETHEIRLARGERICEBALLS! Has the peas, beef, mozzarella and I only recommend them BAKED(mozzarella & sauce) MMMM’mmmmm I live in South Amityville and WITHOUTANYHESITATION they delivered to us! I thought that was real nice of them because most places say no lol The staff is wonderful, ALWAYSACCOMMODATING, SWEET and HELPFUL! Especially the young lady who works the counter and phones! I am still dying to try one of their entrees and when I do I’ll be sure to add a line or two to my review about them :)~ MANGAMANG& Bön appétit!!!

Excellent pizza The spinach and artichoke is the best slice I have ever had. The Chicken Marsala meal is amazing you must have try! Also the Fried Panzorotti is a huge fried calzone with fresh mozzarella and roasted peppers. It can feed 2 people! The owners are really nice people and will accommodate you. If your in the area you must try Leonardos!

This is by far one of my favorite pizza places on Long Island, and trust me I’ve tried a lot of them. Not only is the pizza outstanding but the owner is one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. Every time I go in for one slice I end up with enough to eat for a few days because the selection is great, lots of unique specialty slices. I’d give this place 10 stars if I could.

Delivery review only! We’ve ordered from this place on Grubhub 5 times. It’s so simple and they have decent options but every time something fails to deliver. Today we ordered lunch here. It was okay at best. The cheesy garlic bread was underwhelming. They just put raw garlic on stale bread with half an ounce of mozzarella. Cheesy garlic bread should be crispy on the outside, and soft and moist on the inside and this was disappointing. The garlic on the inside didn’t even cook through. I’d never order this again. The eggplant parm hero was placed on the same stale bread as the cheesy garlic bread. The sauce was so thin and made the sandwich soggy very quickly. The sandwich was quite bland too. A shame. The pizza is my favorite in the area. I love the spinach and artichoke pie. It’s delicious and inventive. Though, $ 18 is a little steep for it. The real issue is that delivery takes a long time and the food is always cold when it gets here. I’ll try take out next time but if it’s underwhelming again, I won’t be ordering from Leonardo’s anymore.

Best pizza around hands down. The owner Dom is the nicest guy and treats everyone like they are the most important person in the room. Every slice of pizzza has so much care put into it. I have been getting gluten free pizza now bc of allergies and they have the bestm flavor and price all in one place. He charges 10 bucks for GF pizza when everywhere else is 14 – 20 plus tax. Dont go anywhere else, go here.

What is there not to like about Leonardo’s! Great food, great staff, and many unique dishes! My personal favorite has to be the spinach and artichoke slice. It’s unique and by far one of the best slices they make! I would highly recommend Leonardo’s to anyone looking for a good pizzeria in the massapequa area. Keep up the great work guys!

I had a great review with the first time I went but after the second time I went I decided to take it down and post this new review, I would have left my other review if it was an off day, but it wasn’t they burnt the pizza and instead of throwing it away and making it new they tired to cover it up so when I got home and tasted it it was like eating charcoal like I said if it was just an «off» day like we all have it would have been fine… But to be sneaky I will never go back again. God know what else they do to your food without you seeing?

This is by far the best utility pizza I have had in Long Island to date. The sauce is perfect and really makes the pizza great. The crust is a little thicker than most pizzerias and chewy and delicious. There salad is fresh and dressings were amazing. Just had the potato slice and there as no way to describe it under than umami This place is a must try

There are a lot of pizza joints to choose from in Massapequa area and we we’re overwhelmed being new. Have ordered from Leonardo’s a lot already! The regular pie is very good. Highly recommended. If you’re going specialty the shrimp one is a little dry. Maybe ask for sauce on the side? Spinach artichoke is breathtaking. Seriously it’s delicious aaaand very filling. I only needed one slice. My husband had a sopressata slice and spoke very highly of it. He thought it was spicey and sweat inducingly delicious.

Had a slice of regular Sicilian, eggplant ricotta slice & special Sicilian slice with potatoes & minestrone soup. Minestrone…nice tomato broth, fresh Portobello and button mushrooms, green beans, and red beans… very tasty would have been a solid nine with a lil pasta and grated cheese… but they did offer bread with was nice. but passed bc of all the slices we ordered… Sicilian…excellent crust, airy & crispy on the bottom… fluffy and billowy on top. 2 layers of cheese with sauce in between the layers which was a really nice touch. A little too much sauce & too sweet, for my liking, but took some off and it was fine. Eggplant & ricotta… Eggplant definitely was freshly made, nice and creamy inside and slight crispy outside, good ricotta, again too much sauce, made it a fork and knife slice. Great dough with great crust. Potato Sicilian… by far the best of the 3. Thin sliced baby potatoes, red onion, fresh mozz, parsley and olive oil. Potatoes were cooked perfectly and seasoned with salt, pepper & evoo. great combination. Crust was thin and crunchy but had a nice chew to it. Great little pizza shop. Very friendly and it almost scared me how nice they were… I almost felt like I wasn’t on Long Island for a minute.haha. Can’t wait to try more! They also deliver.

This is the BEST pizzeria in Massapequa! Leonardo’s is named after the owner’s father. Dominick is no stranger to the restaurant business, he’s been doing it since 1975. As he states, WELCOMETOTHEWORLDOFPIZZA! All pizza’s use all imported ingredients from Italy, he even imports the oregano from Sicily. He only uses San Marzano tomato’s for his sauce, considered the best tomato’s in the world for their flavor. My favorite pizza’s were House slice(pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, and peppers), Spinach & Artichoke, this is like having a spinach and artichoke dip already on your bread… amazing flavor. Full assortment of appetizers, salads, calzones & rolls, pasta, panini, entrees(we had the chicken marsala & veal parmigiana both fabulous). All Unilocaler’s must try this pizzeria, you won’t be disappointed. Say hello to Dominick, he is the real deal, one really good fella. Ciao

Welcome to Massapequa Leonardo’s… Benevenuto! Just opened is a brand new, Pizza restaurant coming from a family nearly 40 years in the Italian pizza/restaurant business. Leonardo’s is in the CVS shopping strip on Broadway directly across from the train station. It’s tucked back off the street, so you will have to pull in. The restaurant itself is the size of a small café, is newly done, has a very nice look and feel to it, and lends itself to a casual sit down as well as take out. We went with the basics to start. One sausauge pizza, one meatball. The owner Dominic was on hand to tell us that 1) he makes his own meatballs, and 2) makes real sauce. This may be true but would it hold up in this very Italian town? It did. This is no novice pizza place. Au contraire! ok enough with the international comments. lol but in fact. this place has begun with a real pizza pro. We got the pizza’s home. and both were good. Normally I am not a meatball pizza fan, I find it a bit bland, but. here the meatballs were good, had enough flavor to add taste to the pie, and the pie itself was excellent. Think more like a Pappalardo’s pizza cove type chewy crust and extra cheese… then think of perhaps a Branchinelli’s extra flavorful sauce. Then add a good sausage on one, and a flavorful meatball on the other. and both were winners. But of course the sausage pie is always my fav. This was serious real pizza, and it was generous not skimpy and wimply. Real Italian style, and worth ordering again. If you are near south Broadway, or passing through, call ahead and try it. I have yet to try my favorites here because it’s brand new. but… I will give it a try on the eggplant and shrimp parm, will update when tried :)
