Good Eats Diner

I went there with my kids yesterday and the service was excellent and the food incredible. The prices were reasonable and i would definitely recommend although my recommendation might be the reason that i don’t get a booth as quick next time its worth it lol. The Parmesan fries were on the money and My Maspeth Burger was Great would definitely come back.

Incredible choices and huge portions. Can’t wait to go back and try more items. Parking is the only problem but it’s worth walking off the calories.

THIS DINER GIVES ME LIFE. I’ve been here once and had the avocado toast and let me tell you… I probably licked the plate clean. ugh you just have to try it yourself to know… it’s quality food in a CLEAN diner with great service! I wish they delivered to Rego Park & I would order it now LOL #ToDieFor

Great little diner in Maspeth. Excellent portions and wonderful service. Great for take-​out as well (when they say 20 minutes, they MEAN 20 minutes!).

We came for Sunday Brunch. James ordered the pancakes with sausage. I had the fish tacos, it was the bomb… We you use so many napkins. …You know it was soooo good. Will come back very soon. …

We really need a good diner in Elmhurst. Georgia Diner serves mediocre food for too high of a price. Unilocal helped me find Good Eats Diner. Their breakfast menu is so yummy and they serve huge portions. We have to drive or take the bus from where we are even though we’re walking distance from Georgia Diner. It’s totally worth the travel!

Excellent food. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners!
Equally and maybe more importantly is the service. From busing the tables to bringing coffee to wait staff to owner and son. All pitch in to make eating at this local diner a pleasure.
No rushing. Apps or fruit or starters brought well ahead of meal. No crowding of plates. Coffee and drinks replenished frequently. No charge for refills or sides of dressing. All requests accommodated without issue.
Meals large enough in size to always take leftovers home. A great experience all the way around.

Came here with 2 friends and was seated quickly, food came quickly and was it more than enough. The proportions of food are enormous to be ready to eat, you’re gonna get your money’s worth eating here. Food is delicious, I highly recommend there signature French toast.

I absolutely love this place. Came last Saturday during brunch and had the green eggs and ham with kale salad. It was AMAZING!!! My friend had the roast beef sandwich and as usual huge portions. We had to take most of it home. I like my coffee black and very few places have good coffee. Good Eats on the other hand never fails me. Been coming here for years and they are always on point. Keep up the good work guys. Oh did I mention the menu is HUGE.

We order from here pretty often, because my fiancé loves this place. I wish I had better things to say about it, because the staff is pretty friendly and pleasant, but the food is really just okay. The portions are very large.
They consistently make errors on our orders, and they never seem to cook the burgers the way you ask them to. They take a minimum of one hour to deliver even if you call at 5:30pm, and they do not save your phone number (like every other place in queens)! which would save time.
My fiancé is yelling at me for writing this review, saying that everything HE orders is fine. Lol so maybe give them a try, and disregard this mediocre review… but whats the point of a review if you’re not honest!

LOVE THIS PLACE !
I’ve been here over and over and they do not disappoint. The portions are great. The food is delicious. Fruit, mimosa, coffee, and tea with brunch cannot be beat.
I never have to wait to be seated. The orders are taken almost immediately. The food arrives hot and in a timely fashion. The servers and bus are friendly. The restaurant is always clean.

Ate here on Black Friday 2015, no line at all which was great considering I had heard there were usually long waits here. We ordered two waters and two coffees. Free refills on the coffees and they sure did keep them coming. They boast an amazing brunch menu which unfortunately is only available Saturday and Sunday. I asked if I could order a dish off of the brunch menu and they told me I could not. I was upset due to the fact that I wanted eggs Benedict and they only had one variation on the regular menu but about 6 different plays on the dish on the weekend brunch menu.
I ordered the regular eggs Benedict that came with home fries. Although I was unaware of that and then proceeded to order a side of fries (which the waitress did not inform me that home fries came with my dish so I would have lots of potatoes with my meal). My friend ordered the walnut banana blueberry pancakes off the regular menu and they came out just as expected.
My eggs Benedict was good but not great. The French fries and home fries were both perfectly cooked and flavored. However, the pancakes were the real home run of the meal. They were fluffy light and you tasted all 3 flavors in every bite.
I would recommend for every and anyone to go there on a weekend for the brunch menu, I know I will be back to try it. Also their regular menu with sandwiches, salads, wraps & paninis to name a few also looked incredible.

This is the first time I have ever walked out of a restaurant due to poor service.
Came here with just a party of two and we were seated immediately. We were trying to order for over half an hour. Three busboys/​servers kept telling us that someone will come take my order soon. We see three parties of four or more get seated and got their order taken in the next five minutes. Is there a VIP section I was not aware about?
I do not have a problem waiting to be served but I do not tolerate being skipped and ignored multiple times.

This was my third time here and after the great experience with the brunch menu last time, I decided to try a different variation of the eggs benedict. Went there around 1, and it was pretty busy but still seated promptly. There is still lots to choose from! From the sweet and fruity breakfasts to the savory and tender lunch items, there is always something to satisfy your craving or try something new.
This time I tried the chicken and waffles egg Benedict because I couldn’t decide if I wanted eggs or chicken and waffles — so I thought why not both? Two poached eggs with waffles instead of English muffins and two chicken cutlets covered in hollandaise. Also accompanied by an arugula salad with bacon bits and cranberries. What a way to mix and add to a classic brunch staple. Stuck with some tea and orange juice but still very satiated by my choices. The food was good, arrived promptly, and the staff was friendly. Price can depend on what youre really looking for, but expect to take a lot home because it’s such a heavy portion. Great place to enjoy the weekends.

When seated around 3pm on a Sunday, I ordered a Chicken Cordon Bleu and a decaf. I was told the chicken would be 40 minutes, so I changed the order to a sandwich and salad. It took close to an hour. It was not crowded and people were leaving as they finished their meals.
I was told the refills were not decaf. I suspect my first cup was not, either. I lost a night’s sleep.
The portions are huge, but you are paying for it, the prices here are not cheap for this type of diner food in Queens. We took leftovers home.
This is our first and last visit here. Very disappointing, given the overall good reviews here.

Probably one of the best diners that I have been to. Why you ask? Well, let me explain.
They have such an extensive and great menu. Everything from brunch, breakfast, sandwiches, wraps, the normal diner shpeel but better. Anything that I’ve had from this diner has been great … Salads, soups, wraps, apps.
Tonight I had the creamy tomato soup which didn’t disappoint and a vegetable panini. The panani had sauteed veggies… mushrooms, onions, artichoke hearts, and a single slice of zucchini. It was also supposed to have eggplant but it came out sans eggplant and I only realized halfway through my meal.
The actual panini bread was good too. But the sandwich itself was missing something (besides the eggplant that is). Maybe a dressing would have helped.
Service was good as well. Attentive and very friendly. We’ll definitely be back!

Came here for brunch with some girlfriends. Had to wait a little bit in the front but nothing serious at all.
Now on to the food… Omg it was SO much, the portions are so huge!
With brunch you get a choice of drinks (virgin Mary, mimosa, etc.) or coffee and fruit salad and fruit juice. We all ordered something different and were pretty happy with our choices which included:
–Fried Chicken and Waffles
–Waffle French Toast (my choice, so freaking delicious– whipped cream, strawberries, Nutella, powdered sugar… Uuuuugh what a great combination)
–Brioche French Toast w/​side of bacon
–Egg White Omelette w/​side of turkey bacon
The omelette was a little runny so we asked for it to be sent back, and the server was awesome about doing so.
Would def go back here again, and def recommend it to others.

What can I say, it’s a diner, the portions are huge, the fries at crispy and the buyers are tasty. Plus they deliver late.
Over all the food is pretty good, nothing fancy, but I always enjoy going here. Friendly staff, open late. Definitely recommend it in Astoria Ditmars late at night.

I had the corned beef hash today which was fantastic. This was not your average dogfood mush. This was actual corned beef, shredded and mixed with potatoes. It was some serious eats!
We shall see how it holds up against a day of drinking, As the other foods I have eaten here all stood the challenge.
