Valley Health Urgent Care

I have used Valley Urgent Care twice this year and they were excellent both times. The staff has always been friendly and understanding. The first time I went in was for a severe allergic reaction i was having. The second time was for my daughter who had a sore throat that turned out to be strep.
Both times, the doc called about 2 days later to check up on everything and to see if we have any questions for her.
I actually prefer going here to going instead of my primary doc.

I have been here twice since they opened. The first time wasn’t so awesome. The receptionist didn’t even pay attention to me standing there waiting and the doctor didn’t explain anything at all and acted as though she was ‘too busy’ to answer my questions. The most recent time I went I was pleasantly surprised by the quick help from a different receptionist who was very courteous. The doctor this recent time was different, and she explained everything very well and was very polite. Both times they have called to check in on how I am feeling a few days afterwards. Since my second visit there, I would recommend this urgent care to others.

This business opened several months ago. It features a large, illuminated animated sign that faces traffic on Edwin Miller Blvd. The sign is blindingly bright at nighttime.
I contacted the company in mid-​August, 2013 to complain about the sign. Two messages left with their regional administrator went unanswered. I finally talked to a receptionist and reported the problem (that was about three to four weeks prior to posting this review).
This week, with the sign still blindingly bright, I called and was told the new local administrator would call me back. No return call. I called again, and finally talked to a woman named Laura.
She said she hadn’t looked at the sign at nighttime, but that their marketing team and safety and security team were aware of my complaint and were «looking into it». She also said they changed some of the colors on the sign (it won’t help).
I suggested that the sign is a traffic hazard and that sooner or later there will be an accident, perhaps involving a pedestrian walking on the road who is struck by a blinded motorist. She then politely thanked me for my interest and ended the phone call.
It’s a shame that a medical facility, that SHOULD be dedicated to health and wellness, would put motorists and pedestrians at DIRECT RISK of injury or worse for several weeks. And why would the new administrator, who is aware of the problem, not even bother to check it out herself?
Valley Health Urgent Care doesn’t seem to be concerned with the traffic hazard they have created. One star for this review!
