At this moment I give this place a 3.5, I chose to do 4 instead of 3 because out of the things that i purchased there was more good than bad. the place is very cute inside with a lot of delicious looking choices. My eyes tend to be bigger than my stomach so I had to restrain myself from ordering more than what I needed. I got an apricot filled cookie– it was very good, I also asked for what I believe was a lemon cookie(it looks exactly the same as the apricot one except its yellow) but i don’t think she heard me because it wasn’t in the bag when i looked. But its ok, I’ll just have to try it next time. I also got one of the cute baby sfogliatelle… which sadly looked better that what it taste like. I’m used to it being filled with a cream of some sort, were this was breaded all the way through with some sort of candied fruit. It wasn’t as good as I hoped for. Then I got a macchiato.(espresso+ a little milk) I haven’t had any type of coffee in over a month, it was absolutely delicious I cant wait to have another.

I lived in Marlboro for a few years when I was younger. We used to have the Marlboro Bakery in this location(also Italian) and I was disappointed when it closed years later. I’d had this dream of reopening it when I was done at the CIA. But, like all dreams, life goes on and they change. Not long ago, I was visiting NY again and, when driving through my old paths, I saw that a new bakery had taken up the space. This was, like, the best thing in the world to me. Instant turn around the little island on 9W(I still hate that spot) and right back to run inside. I loved the fact that this was a full-on Italian bakery like I’ve missed all these years since moving from NY. Mounds of Italian cookies, cannoli, eclairs, and all sorts of other goodies. The ladies behind the counter were extremely helpful and chatty, and I highly suggest you come here and tell everyone else you know, too.

Open since mid-November this Italian bakery offers all your standard favorites plus seasonal creations that would temp anyone’s tummy. Of course The L went for one of their delicious sfogliatelle and a handful of raspberry rugalach. All good things! Super nice people, clean place with some tables for a little SD. If you still have room left in your belly after lunch at the nearby Raccoon Saloon have a walk on over. And of course you can always take home some treats for later. :)
