Food was really fresh and service was good. I would like to see a bigger selection. It also seemed very clean. They got all the key points covered.

Good food. They were out of several proteins and some noodles when we went. A bit disorganized. It would be helpful to post some suggested recipes on the walls, perhaps, as I’ve heard some complaints about the food not tasting great. You choose your ingredients, seasonings and sauces and they cook it for you. I hear they also now have a buffet. Planning to try it.

This is the grossest trough in Marion. Think about it, you are touching the same handles as everyone else(coughing, nose pickers, buttscratching people) Then you touch handles with raw proteins on them. How people don’t end up in hospital sick is beyond me. I will never go back. Plus the woman up front couldn’t count change from a twenty, my wife had to explain it to her. I would give it a zero star if I could!!!

I’m a big fan of Genghis Grill, so I was looking forward to trying this place out while I was in the area. Sadly, it pales in comparison. It wasn’t a terrible experience, honestly it was just mediocre. I went with my parents for lunch today. My mother and I arrived first, and were informed that you have to pay in advance(which I was expecting having eaten at Genghis). Unfortunately, this meant that they wouldn’t let us order drinks until my father arrived to pay. They brought us our bowls while we waited, but we didn’t go to fill them until we were all there. For those who don’t know, the concept of this restaurant is fairly simple. You’re given a bowl to fill up at the counter. They offer a variety of options, including meat, veggies, and tofu. You pay by the bowl, so you can get as much as you can fit in one bowl.(The bowls look small, but I’ve managed to get enough chicken for three meals in one bowl at Genghis before, which is great since you can take home your leftovers.) You also season everything as much as you want. Then you take your food to the cook, pick a sauce, and specify if you want rice or noodles. They cook the food on a large round grill and bring it out to you. Mongolian Grill offers all of the standard meat options for this type of restaurant(chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, crab, etc.), but the vegetable, seasoning, and sauce options were all lacking. I ended up settling on the teriyaki as many of the other options didn’t look like the sauces they were labeled as so I didn’t want to end up with the wrong sauce. All three of us ended up going back for a second bowl of sauce to add ourselves as the amount they put on wasn’t enough to really flavor everything in the bowl. All in all, the food was pretty bland. The chicken I got was a little too chewy, and I barely ate any of the vegetables as they were buried and I didn’t get to them. They also didn’t cut the egg up much so my dad didn’t even eat his as he didn’t have anything to cut it up with. It’s worth trying if you’re in the area, but don’t expect it to be as good as Genghis Grill.

The food here is delicious if you know how to make it. The staff are very nice people. No frills, casual, quick dining but serious potential good eats! I get the fried rice and season it with curry, chili powder, garlic powder and the following sauces: honey, brown, garlic and teriyaki. That to me is a winning combination. Put any protein or veggies you want. What makes this even better is the red chili oil. Bam! Love this place, keep up the good work! Don’t disappoint :)

Don’t know which is worse– the food or the service! If I could I would give it a negative rating. Upset that I couldn’t post without giving it at least one star– which is more than it deserved! Won’t be back!

Good food. I spent 100.00 last week and took in about 11 people today. we just finished eating and they asked us to leave because they needed our table and there was about 10 vacant tables. It was the height of rudeness.

Not real bad food but they are very rude. We had a party of 15 people there on mothers day. It was 3 generations of my family there. After we ate our food(about an hour total time) the waitress came and asked us to leave because our table was reserved for a party at 1 o’clock. There were numerous tables that were empty that could have been used. We went to the owner and told them what had happened and he said that the table was reserved and that they needed it. NOT the way you treat paying customers. Very disappointed and won’t be back.

The food is really tasty. The ingredients are all chosen by the customer of course. The cooks are fast, but a touch disorganized. If you have 2 or more in your party, the orders may not come out at the same time. I received mine 10 minutes before my partner received his. The server was frustrated and the cards you place on your tray, get smudged by the cooks and orders get miss delivered.
