Just moved to the area and was excited to get Mexican food. I love Mexican food and haven’t had carne asada fries in a while. I was originally looking for another place but ended up here. Since there was a drive through I ordered carne asada fries. If I had to get out the car I probably would not have gotten food here. Little to say they did not meet my expectations. It was a small portion for almost $ 9. There was hardly any meat(which was not seasoned), and the fries were very soft as if they were not cooked long enough. To top it off they only gave me 1 hot sauce. I only realized this once I was already home. Overall I was disappointed in my dinning experience.

I’m more of a read-only kinda Unilocaler, unless someone/something stands out above and beyond. Well, this 5 stars is for the polite young man who works the drive thru window. Kudos to his parents for raising such a kind kid. Oh, and the breakfast burrito is amazing too(ask for extra salsa).

I always wondered how Isidro’s could stay in business with Papa Chevo’s right next door, so I finally decided to give it a try to see if it could stand up against my favorites from across the street. Truth is, the portions are WAY bigger here for a similar price! Nice! In my opinion, the food wasn’t quite as good as Papa Chevo’s, but for the increased portion sizes and the very fast and friendly service, I’ll take it! Definitely would return to try more menu items– it may just be that I ordered something that isn’t their specialty, because my boyfriend insisted that his burrito was the best he’s had in Marina so far. :)

Just OK. The food is middle of the road, and the service is only fair – there is a hurried and begrudging vibe. The female owner refused to start a new pot of coffee for me after noon. Carnitas are greasy and presentation is dull, but occasionally I stop in due to the poor dining alternatives in Marina.

Will never eat here again. If I could give less than one star I would. Came in here by myself after a 9hour day of working. I came in 15 minutes before closing at 9 and the lady in front told me togo only. I told her I would be quick, she said she was closing in 15 minutes so togo only. I really love their food, BUT I will NEVER eat here again. I just wanted some quick tacos. Two tacos. I get your trying to close your restaurant, but if you have tables and chairs and the light is on, at least stay open until the time it says on the door or change your times! I’d rather go to the drive through taco shop one street over. I really wish I didn’t get such bad customer service here because every time before this has been great. One time I went to outback steakhouse 15 minutes before closing they still sat me down at a booth and helped me for over an hour past closing. Change your hours to «togo only after this time»!!

Pretty good food if you like plain and simple no-frills Mexican food. The steak burrito consisted of steak, Spanish rice and guacamole in a tortilla. Delicious and no crazy spices like some places try for. Seating is limited to about 30 people to talk. I ordered a Diet Coke which came in a can with a glass of ice. Air conditioner was working well on the warm day I visited. Would definitely recommend for casual, fast, Mexican food.

Isidro’s is a great stop for Mexican food in Marina! great street tacos… HUGE burritos! you seriously can’t finish one! The best part… drive-thru…so if you’re tired on the way home from work — just drive right up and order FRESHFOOD… not fast food!

Yaaasssss new fan! I came here for dinner with my boyfriend for the first time, and the place wasn’t too crowded. We were greeted by the nicest lady, and she sat us down. I went with a shrimp taco, and a chicken taco. Each one was less than $ 3, even the shrimp one! The tacos come with a combination of salsa, guac, lettuce, and sour cream(it’s different per type of taco). They were delicious omg, and even though I only got 2 tacos for my meal, it was satisfying! My boyfriend got the California carne asada burrito, which was only $ 7.75. And lemme tell ya, this thing was HUGE. He actually finished the entire thing, but was stuffed afterward. He’s pretty picky, but he really enjoyed it! Compared to Papa Chevo’s next door, Isidro’s is much cheaper and has bigger portions, but doesn’t lack in flavor whatsoever. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their menu!

I love this place, super fresh, clean and brimming with pride. The service is always cheerful and friendly. I enjoy their fish tacos, beans and rice. And, I’m pretty sure I have not seen another drive thru version of a Mexican restaurant. This is a great place to get Mexican food!

Unfortunately we will not return. Granted it had been a bad day because of a power outage. But it began when I called to see if they were open and the lady tells me, «yes I answered the phone» Okay, I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt and try your restaurant. The gentleman who greeted us was very polite. The lady continued to be rude. She couldn’t even offer a smile knowing her tip was in the line. Food was bland, the presentation was horrible! What a horrible experience especially when you’re looking for a quick bite. I ordered the carne asada quesadilla and the price for the portion, not worth it. Having to pay for chips and salsa is ridiculous! Personally it all goes back to the customer service. If that starts off bad then it’s all going to be bad. I don’t find this place to be authentic! Smiling helps A LOT they should try it!!!

Small Mexican restaurant my friends and I stopped at when we left Asilomar. Had decent reviews on Unilocal so we checked it «in». I got the steak burrito and carne asada fries with a horchata. The food is tasty but everything just seems small. The burrito just didn’t have enough meat in there and the carne asade fries could be for one person only. I’m from L.A. and lived in San Diego for a couple years so I was pretty disappointed in the size of the fries. The horchata came in a small cafeteria style cup but granted it was pretty good tasting. This place has potential if they increased their portions.

Pros: food not greasy, they have drive thru. Atmosphere is relaxed, they do serve fish and shrimp BV most places don’t. Cons; salsa didn’t taste to fresh, ordered 3 burritos but they only came with 1 serving of salsa. The fish burrito had a small piece of fish every 3 – 4 bites otherwise just beans rice and lettuce. Wasn’t like other places that have sour cream cheese and other stuff in the burritos. Overall not impressed other that the lack of grease, but I’ll stick with my usual spots.

I think this was about the worse Mexican food I have ever eaten. It was over priced for very bland food. To add anything to your burrito they charged. For example they charged $ 1 to add cheese to a burrito. What kind of burrito doesn’t come with cheese??? The tacos were ok but the meat seemed very low quality and there were a few pieces I had to spit out. The rice was really dry. The bathrooms were really gross. Also they had no toilet seat covers, toilet paper, or soap in them. So overall it was way over priced(for 2 people we paid almost $ 30) and food was not good. We will not be eating here again.

We came in for lunch today to try something different on the menu and were a little disappointed. Their Salsa wasn’t as good as the 1st time we were here, not as hot either. I had the 2 crunchy tacos with Chili Verde this time and it was tasteless, just pork with some green sauce poured on it. They also gave me some green sauce on the side, again tasteless. Hubby had their Shrimp a la Diablo. The shrimp tasted old and shrimpy, the sauce was tasteless and not hot at all, as it should have been. We were bummed. We really wanted to like this place but don’t think we’ll be back for a while. Plus we were the only people in here today and she never checked on us or brought my husband a refill for his ice tea, even though he shook his glass full of ice cubes several times.
