Big fan of Maria’s — their Calzone’s are fantastic. Jacobo(the man behind the till) is a real star here and guarantees the whole experience is first class. Many thanks!

Came here for dinner. we usually go to the Maria’s on pico. so we were really looking forward to a great dinner. shocker this place was different very friendly staff. the food was the worst thing I have ever had. we never got our Rosemary bread or anything even though it’s on the menu. chicken panini was the worst thing I ever tasted. my husband had the chicken with pasta. he couldn’t even cut the chicken it was so hard and dry. for $ 40 this is just ridiculous. will never step a foot here again. the one on pico is amazing. I feel bad to write this review but I felt that I should

Buyer beware! Watch your bill here. They overcharged me on a lunch delivery and have yet to issue the credit and that was over 6 weeks ago. I have called them twice and been assured of the credit but it has NOT happened. Food is good but the delivery fee is high and they do not included utensils unless you ask for them. REALLY??? Takeout delivery without a fork or napkin?

I had my order delivered from the Marina Del Rey Pronto location. I like maybe 10 mins from there, but it took 65 minutes for the delivery, it came through Delivery 24. I do understand that it’s not Domino’s 30 min or less, lol, but my food was luke warm at best. I ordered the Rosemary Flatbread as I read that meals don’t come with any bread at all. The Marinara had become open during transport so the bread was soggy, not good(I ate the few pieces that weren’t in the sauce). I also ordered the Caesar, which was like something you would get in the prepared section of a low rent grocery store’s ready made section(I didn’t eat it). My entrée was Fettuccine Bolognese, lot’s of large chunks of onions gave it a bit of an odd consistency. Lastly the Tiramisu Cup. It also tasted something one might grab in Ralph’s, it didn’t taste like it came from an Italian restaurant in any way. While most of the food was edible, there are way too many great restaurant’s that deliver so I won’t order from this restaurant again.

Good atmosphere and nice staff but the food(at least chicken) is terrible! I believe I ordered something called chicken Michelangelo which was priced around $ 15. The chicken was so rough it was nearly impossible to chew. The wAiter was nice and brought it back to the kitchen and then returned to tell me that the chicken COMESGRILLED and then they sautée it at the restaurant so the chef couldn’t cook it any better! Instead I got the chicken piccata which apparently uses a different kind of chicken. It was mediocre at best.

Yum-licious! This is our go-to place for Italian delivery and we’ve never been disappointed. However, beware that their red sauce is spicy, too spicy for my kids for sure. My hubby loves the lasagna, which I’ve actually never tried to now sure it’s the same spicy red sauce. Their Alfredo is good, their chicken dishes are good, and I had a BBQ chicken salad last time that was pretty good, not the best I’ve had but for sure good.

I stopped in here today on my drive home and had a very pleasant dinner. Build your own pasta meal, choose pasta, sauce and meat. The meal came out very quickly and service was nice. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I thought it was weird when I was hanging out to finish my glass of wine after I finished my meal and the waitress took my glass even through there was still wine in it. Weird she didn’t know I was sitting there to finish my wine but overall a good experience.

I exclusively order delivery through Unilocal,so I have no in restaurant experience at this location. I’ve found the delivery to be very reliable and much faster than the Unilocal/Eat24 estimates. I’ve experienced highs such as the zucchini fritti, which is perfectly coated in crispy deliciousness… and a few disappointments eg no complimentary bread. I take full responsibility for not knowing the latter, but am surprised that a $ 40−50+ tab doesn’t merit a few complimentary baguette slices.(I should have read the Unilocal reviews. Le sigh.) I’ve tried the build your own pasta with bolognese sauce, but found it to be too sweet/off. I also don’t recommend ordering crispy chicken in any dish with sauce; delivery + sauce + crispy = soggy sadness upon arrival. But there are triumphs! Outside of the fritti and in consideration of the no free bread policy, I’m a fan of the rosemary flatbread, which successfully marries chewy, savor and saucy, if you exercise your right to dunk in the complimentary sauce. The build your own pasta(with marinara sauce and lots of veggies) and bbq chicken salad are also on my «go-to» list — yummy and super filling! Overall, this is a solid no-frills delivery option for the hungry and lazy. I endured a few missteps and found my «go to» items. I hope you find something you like as well. :)

There is no real bread option on the menu(Rosemary flatbread is not what I want to sop up my leftover sauce) so I figured some plain Italian baguette of sorts would be included in our order. Nope. So if you want bread with your delivery order go for the Rosemary flatbread, I guess. The lasagne was good. Delivery would have been very prompt had he gone to the correct address. Since he didn’t our garlic fries were pretty cold and soggy.

First off, if I could give this particular Marina del Rey location«NO» star at all, I certainly would do just that. «Billy»(female) who answered the phone tonight to take my order was extremely rude to me, so rude that I finally gave up placing my order and cancelled it. She should NOT be answering the phones or having any contact with the public. I have been a long time customer of Maria’s for over 12 years now and I love their food but if I cannot get an apology from management then I will certainly be taking my business somewhere else. I purchase food at Maria’s for my family least once a month and often take my entire office to lunch at their Pasadena location. When I take my family to the LA County Fair annually, we always dine at Maria’s and spend plenty of money on cocktail and deserts as well. It’s sad that one individual can ruin things for an entire company. Unfortunately this is not the only bad phone encounter that my family and I have experienced with the Marina del Rey Maria’s location. We have as three bad experiences since we moved her from Pasadena. This is not the first bad review(See recent review from Kelly J.) we have left for the Marina del Rey location either — believe it or not nobody from Maria’s contacted us regarding our last bad review so I am doubtful that anyone from management will conact us this time either… :-/ Anyone have any recommendations of a great take out Italian restaurant in the MDR area??? If so, please friend me and share with me! :-)

We ordered our normal items and when delivered we were missing the extra sauce on the side that we order everytime. My boyfriend calls to ask for the sauce and the girl transfers him. The manager Alejandra picks up and starts to question him and argue with him. He passes the phone over to me to speak with her. She then proceeds to argue with me that we didn’t order that and there was extra sauce put on the pasta. I told her that the pasta was dry and that we ordered it on the side, and the guy that took my order repeated it Just like I ordered it. She then told me to hold because she needed to speak with the guy who took my order, since she didn’t believe me. She then got on the phone and told me she was sending extra sauce of everything I ordered. I explained I just needed what I ordered and that was the Diablo sauce on the side. HEAVENS! Beware the one in Pasadena is just as bad. 1. Never argue with a customer 2. Make a customer happy 3. Get a new job if you don’t know how to speak to customers or handle mistakes made by your staff.

Don’t waste your time on this place! Went here for lunch, ordered the pen pasta, the food was pretty DISGUSTING, brought it to the manager attention but she didn’t want to hear it. I usually follow Unilocal to any new restaurant, this is my first bad experience in many years with Unilocal. Never Coming Back! I suggest your manager to learn customer service skill

Very excited to try this spot, and I left feeling so-so on my experience. They have free appetizer coupons when you sign up for there email program, but it’s a must to have it printed out :( I ordered the baked ziti and they do warn you it will take a while for it to be baked, which I understand and it did take awhile. Once received it was tiny and not as mouth watering as I expected it to be. The environment is ok. I don’t always like to see the kitchen, this place is better if you order to go or delivery. I’m always skeptical of «fast food» Italian. This place just didn’t do it for me. Small parking up top,

The food here is good, nothing mild-blowing but definitely solid, quick, Italian. I’ve enjoyed both of the hand-held calzones and a BBQ chicken pizza. The appetizers(broccoli /meatballs) are good but nothing yet that I would order again. If you take a seat, the staff is very kind and treats it as a sit-down restaurant rather than counter service, which has been slightly refreshing in our experience.

I have to start by saying service here is top notch. I came in for a really late lunch while waiting for a test on my car across the street. Stephen and the rest of the staff were so nice, helpful, and friendly! Stopping in helped brighten up my crappy day. That said, I am giving Maria’s an extra star for the service. I ended up ordering fettuccini alfredo with a meatball for some protein. Since I was starving, I added on a chopped Italian salad. The salad was pretty good. It came with all the ingredients including olives, garbanzo beans, mozzarella, carrots, tomatoes, and zucchini separated on top of the lettuce. I thought the housemate dressing was tasty. The fettuccini alfredo was good, not drowning in sauce. The meatball was pretty hearty as well. Maria’s is a good option for quick Italian food with great service. It’s definitely a must do for lunch locals.

Bravo Pronto for serving Italian fast food downgrading Maria’s into Blah-ria’s. I’m sorry if that sounds mean … I meant to say Meh-ria’s. Seriously, the pasta really wasn’t very flavorful or interesting fast food or Italian food. The biggest positive for Maria’s Italian Kitchen Pronto is the fantastic crew working behind the counter and handing you your order. A big PLUSONE for them. They are some seriously nice folks. Bummer the food didn’t match their positive impression. Baked Ziti($ 12.99) with an upgraded add-on of Seasonal Veggies($ 1) was more like Baked Zhitty. The runny and thin«meat» sauce was as underwhelming as the plain pasta and minimal sprinkle of Mozzarella. The Vegetables didn’t add much either except making the sauce even runnier. You can get the same quality for 1⁄3 the price from Lean Cuisine in the frozen food aisle.(1.5 stars) A Unilocal pic lured me into getting the«Homemade» Potato Chips($ 1.99). They looked much better than they were despite seasoning of Italian Herbs and Spice. «Just ok» Potato Chips is more accurate a description.(3 stars). Bonus: Parking is free in the underground lot for the small shopping center. Overall, Maria’s Italian Kitchen Pronto food really only deserves 2 stars, but since they have been open less than a year and the employees seem to genuinely care, the overall rating is 2.5 rounded up.

So far so good. Maria’s is a pretty new restaurant, and when I went, I ordered a build yoru own pasta with alfredo and pesto sauce. I also added sausage. The meal came out fast and there prices weren’t too bad so I would probably be back to try more items on their menu. Although, Maria’s isn’t as good as Alejo’s or Eddie’s which are both nearby. I an’t say no to Alejo’s and Eddie’s garlic dip. Parking is not too bad here. There’s more underground parking and it’s not as busy compared to the above ground parking.
