OMG I don’t know where to start, this office is so friendly and super professional. People at this location are pretty much up beat, the Supervisor knows her law and ethics about Taxes. I would highly recommend people to get serviced here. You can’t go wrong, these people would get you the maximum refund. Plus I didn’t have to wait, I got serviced real quick. A+++

Ok so first time doing a tax return myself here, i’m from the UK where it’s all done for you every month and you don’t have to worry about it unless your self employed. As you can imagine this whole process is very daunting and i for one don’t like nasty surprises at the end of the tax year
So i thought as my situation is fairly straight forward i would just use TurboTax. Found the site great and simple and was happy with it until it figured i owed $ 2k in taxes. i don’t have an issue owing taxes as you know it’s what you do, you work, you pay tax, i just don’t want to pay it all in one go. So i thought i would go see a ‘specialist’ incase i had done something wrong as i thought i had been paying enough.
First of all, front desk women were helpful and friendly so wouldn’t want to complain about them but the woman who dealt with me who i think was Olga, think Russian too, was awful. She basically took one look at my W2 and said i can’t do anything for you, as you ticked this box you will always owe. She presumed i had no kids and i didn’t own my home and didn’t even consider i could have some sort of tax breaks. It was like she couldn’t wait to get rid of me. Also very unprofessional that she had her coat on her shoulders prancing around like something out of a show. It wasn’t the fact she couldn’t help me, it was just her whole attitude and kind of like looking down her nose at me.
For certain situations if you can pay i would say pay, it saves alot of stress and you don’t have to deal with people like H&R Block

This place is HORRIBLE. I used for 2012 and now after going to a REAL CPA I’ve found out that I over paid my taxes by a couple of grand. Not only that the people there are incompetent. Can’t answer questions with out asking their boss constantly. The woman that helped me barley spoke English. Avoid like the Plauge and any other H&R Block location. Go to a CPA it’s cheaper and you will get your Taxes done right.

I had used them for four years in a row… last year the tax man contacted me said i owed $ 4000, i figured i trusted H and R block. I went to another Tax person he said the first mistake was going to H and R block heads, he was right i did not owe the tax man $ 4k he owed ME $ 7k… that is why you dont use PART TIME people to do your taxes… dont DO IT would you have a Gyno fix your car? or vice versa?

So I had made an appt to see Isaak Behar at the marina del rey branch of H&R Block. when I got there, there was a problem since I had laready done most of the return myself — I told him I needed an expert to review my return for accuracy and see if I had missed any applicable deductions.
He seemed reluctant & unfriendly, as if I was going to cheat him out of his fee. He kept asking me what I wanted to do, and then talked over me when I tried to respond. Then he said something about using up an hour and he wasn’t even going to file my return. I said, actually I have only been here 3 minutes — but if this is a problem — I will do my return myself.
Very unprofessional — I guess anyone can work at H& R Block — no courtesy or professionalism required. Do not go to this office. Do not let this tax quack jerk you around.
