The Charter Club of Marco Beach

Wonderful place to stay! Staff of resort is great! King size bed in main room. Twin news in guest room that you can ask to have made into king bed as well. Great place downstairs to BBQ. Tennis, boating, swimming, relaxing all in one great spot. Not a party resort with music but a beautiful 30 yr old resort that maintains its grounds and keeps us coming back!!!

I give this hotel a solid 3. On the plus side, the staff was helpful and friendly, and the rooms were big and very clean. The balcony was a nice touch and we loved the close beach access. On the down side, the furnishings, etc were a bit outdated (very 80s) with the exception of the kitchen. There was was no wifi. While the king bed was relatively comfortable, the twin beds were not. It was also a bit noisy with thin walls. It’s a very family oriented place.

Staying here as a Hilton Grand Vacation Club member. Not as impressed as I was hoping to be. My first impression was not great. The registration building needs sprucing up. The flooring was covered in paper to cover up wholes in the carpet perhaps. It had a motel registration lobby appeal.
The pool was closed when we got here, which was a major bummer. They had to shock it for 24 hours after «someone had an accident in it.» Twenty-​four hours! Isn’t there a quicker treatment? Our local pool has a shock treatment that takes about an hour. Not that I want to swim in a dirty pool, but 24 hours! When they did open the pool, the kids couldn’t use any balls in it.
It’s the little touches that I like about Hilton’s properties and I was disappointed to learn that you only get a starter kit of supplies (tp, paper towels, dish soap, laundry detergent, toiletries, etc.). Also, rather than housekeeping collecting and exchanging towels at your room, you have two 1 hour windows each week to take your towels to housekeeping (in our case, in the other building) to exchange towels. You can certainly wash them yourself though, if you have detergent.
The furnishings seem a bit dated (lots of wicker), but I guess they replaced them recently. The appliances are all nice and new. The seal at the base of the front door let in rain during one of the storms. Thankfully, it’s a tiled area. Even the seal to the patio doors wasn’t what I’d expect, as wind whistles through them during storms.
The activities are few and far between, unlike the Hilton properties in Orlando that have amazing activity staffs. But, they do offer free sailing (even lessons!) and kayaking. They do not provide chairs on the beach. You have to schlep your own, or rent them from a vendor, which is very conveniently located (no idea of the cost, as we brought our own).
The location is great though! And, really, if we hadn’t have just come from the HGVC Orlando on International Drive, I would likely rate the Charter Club four stars. Also, if I had known about the lack of basic amenities and towel exchange policy (see above) ahead of time, I would have been less disappointed. I would have given a half star more, if i could have done so, but my iPad won’t let me.

The condo has a master bedroom with a king sized bed and master bathroom. It has a decent sized walk in closet with a safe for valuables which is complimentary. There is also a second bedroom with two beds.
There were three televisions, two of which were new flat screen HD TVs. A walk-​out balcony from the master bedroom and living room offer great views of the beach and Gulf of Mexico.
The kitchens have new appliances and granite countertops. The washer and dryer (stackable) were new as well.
The resort offers the use of kayaks and paddle boards for free. They also rent 14′ Hobie Cats for $ 20 per hour. The pool area is beautifully landscaped and has plenty of seating and tables with umbrellas. They also have grills if you want to barbecue.
There are plenty of bars, restaurants and shopping within walking distance of the resort, but nothing is too far away as Marco Island is not that big.
I would definitely stay here again.

My husband’s family have a timeshare at Charter Club-​Marco Island. My first visit was in 2004 & I loved it. The units are kept up well, the pool is inviting & you are only steps away from the white sand beach. Each week, they offer a welcome breakfast, fashion show with lunch & other festivities. Staff is friendly & the scenery offers a great place to relax & enjoy the beautiful weather.
The Collier strip offers many stores & places to eat.
Even though the time share company (RCI) offer an opportunity to trade locations & resorts, we still like coming to this place.

We’ve been coming here for over 25 years now. My wife and I love this place. As a timeshare you can come here every year or trade. We choose to come back here.
The condo comes with a master bedroom with a king size bed and master bathroom. There is also a second bedroom with two beds.
The kitchens were just updated with new appliances and granite countertops. They also replaced the furniture in every condo.
We like to use the grill by the pool for steaks and burgers.
I can do without the fashion show every year.

Great Hilton property. The units were spacious and featured great kitchens with granite counter tops, well appointed rooms and spectacular views of the gulf. Excellent beach access. I am not sure the other reviewers had the correct location. Awesome beach, great pool and hot tub. The covered grill area is great when choosing to make steaks and burgers. Terrific sunsets!!!

HEY!!! If you like the sounds of constant nailing and drilling beginning at 9 AM every day, this place is for you! And they don’t even bother to warn you, even if you’ve made your reservation months in advance. And the 2 guys who showed up at the door demanding to get to the laundry room, who had absolutely no ID, was a real nice touch too.

This place is alright. I am here with my swim team. You have to wash your the towels that the condo comes with (there is a washing machine on the premises). you have to bring your own toilet paper and such. there isn’t much that is included with the room there is one bed and a very uncomfortable couch pullout bed.
The kitchenette is very small it only fits one person cooking. Only pots were available.
Overall, I think this place is alright I’ve been to better condos before with much better service.
