Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort, Golf Club & Spa

Cleanest hotel I’ve ever been to, with a great view from every angle! Quinn’s on the Beach delivers right to your spot on the beach, and also does poolside delivery. I would definitely stay there again. Worth the high price!

Loved the beach and Quinn’s on the beach. Yummy piña coladas every afternoon. The line for coffee in the lobby is long and a coffee is $ 3.50! However, there is a coffee maker in your room. Great beds. Great walks on the
construction did not bother us at all. However, our room needed a good spring cleaning (wipe down trim and wash baseboards in bathroom and re caulk shower to get rid of mildew. Are they so busy building new they don’t have time for maintenance on the old? Great pool area with quick service.

One of the best hotels in the country is just getting better. If you have one place to stay on the Island this is it. The beach is incredible. Quinn’s at sunset can’t be beat. The staff is tremendous and usually smiling. Highly recommended for a day, a sunset or an entire week. Make sure you visit this property while on Marco.

If you can get over these few pitfalls, it’s a great hotel. There is ongoing construction to renovate rooms, like up until 5pm, construction happened in the room right above us. The resort area smelled strongly of machine exhaust, due to the construction. Parking had some issues, like at one point, about 10 cars waited at the gate because hotel key cards would not swipe them out.
Other than that, you’re looking at a beautiful hotel on the west coast of Florida, situated on a nice island with white sand beaches and nice skies. Parking is only $ 12 with in and out privilege, so it’s not a killer. Multiple restaurants on the property, and a frozen yogurt shop too. Pools are warm, which is perfect even in 68 degree and slightly windy weather. Our room was newly renovated and all the furniture was modern, complete with sliding doors for the bathroom. The room looked out over a partial view of the ocean and onto the very round pool, which was nice to look at. Beds were comfortable, and even the entrance looking into the horizon will have you saying «wow!»

I have been coming to the marco island marriott for 40 years and this last time here may be my last. Quinns Food has gone down hill and went inside to the bar for a Bloody Mary and it was probably one of the worst ones I have ever had. The help inside the bar were very rude and stuckup. Hey this is marco island Florida not the French Riviera no need to be so snooty.

Absolutely stunning!
The Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort may be the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at. My husband and I got a free room upgrade since he is a Marriott Platinum Elite member. Our room was huge and included panoramic views of the pool and beach. Our corner room suite had a wraparound balcony so we could see the resort at every angle!
The staff was super friendly. We had called earlier to make sure the hotel knew we would be arriving late that evening. Upon check-​in they teased us that they had almost given away our room. When we mentioned we didn’t need a late check-​out they assured us that we would not be checking out early once we saw our room. They were correct!
We woke up at sunrise the following morning and watched the sun rise from our balcony in over-​sized plush robes. Our spa inspired bathroom contained a rainfall shower that was large enough to fit 6 adults! I ordered an omelette, fresh fruit and coffee from room service and spent the morning enjoying listening to the waves crash on the beach.
My only regret is that we only stayed one night at this amazing resort. Note to Marriott Members: this resort is a category 9 (the highest category of Marriott).

We are Marriott Club members so we have stayed a lot of their hotels/​resorts and this one is by far our favorite.
I love that this hotel because it caters to family’s by doing things for the kids. We were lucky to stay at this resort from 12/​26/​2015 — 01/​02/​2016 by making reservations back in February and I am glad we did.
The staff is friendly and wonderful, especially the pool staff and the staff at Quinn’s since we spent most of the day by the pool. I loved the chicken quesadillas and my husband loved the fish taco’s.
They had a great New Years Eve Celebration and each night they had organized games for the kids. One night they had Wii Mario Kart for the kids, they had laser tag and also miniature golf.
I read another persons review about the construction but I have to tell you that I was by the pool every day and both of those cranes for being as big as they are, are very quiet. They did not bother me or anyone else I talked to. If you go to the website it also warns you that they have construction going on, I called before making our reservation and it was explained that the cranes were there but were not loud and they were right!!!
**Money Saving Tip***Go to 400 Pazzis (by the pool area) and buy their big cups ($ 3.00 each) and you can drink any of their fountain drinks for free your whole stay you just have to refill yourself.
I recommend also going down to the pool area and throwing a couple of towels down on some chairs by 9:00 am because they go fast. The chairs by the other pool with the water fall are always available.
I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a family friendly amazing getaway.

Excellent resort in an excellent location. Wide white sand beach with lots of room. Many activities. Several restaurants. Nice pool. Very nice spa. Check prices as it reflects the resort level. They are remodeling the south end of the property and will become a J.W. Marriott in 2017. We love this place and have returned a second time.
We upgraded to a two-​room suite on the top floor. Two bathrooms and a jacuzzi. Nice ocean view with a large terrace with table and chairs and there were nice cots to sun bathe. Loved this.

I’m sure this hotel will be nice when the construction is complete, but right now it should be closed. When I’m in my room all I can hear is banging and drilling. Normally I wouldn’t spend much time in the room but we are having terrible weather. To top it off the tv is not working. Oh and the towel rack is hanging out of the wall.
I was aware of the construction when I booked and Marriott assured me that they would put me in a room on the other side of the hotel and that I would not be able to hear construction. It is literally going on in the rooms above me and next to me. They lied. Don’t trust them and don’t stay here.
You should also be aware that a building is being erected in the property adjacent to this property. You can hear that construction at the pool and the enormous construction cranes tower over the Marriott pool.

Our Spa experience ruined our entire impression of this Marriott Resort.
We are Marriott Club Members (which isn’t cheap by any means), so we booked some spa appointments — a massage for the fella and a facial for the lady — looking forward to a relaxing pamper day on vacation.
The male experience was good, the attendant was nice and showed me around, the sauna was working, the steam room was working, the Jacuzzi was working, the cold plunge pool was working — that’s all they have by the way (and a small bathroom, shower, and locker room). So overall it is a small place, but it has the basics, and is clean and well put together. The massage was great, the lady I had (I was so relaxed I forgot her name sadly) was amazing, very attentive, strong and capable and very sweet.
The attendant at the mineral pool and regular pool in the back of the spa was great too, she brought us water, setup our pool chair towels, gave us a good recommendation to check out Quinn’s happy hour (another review pending) versus ordering room service brought to the pool, and was overall very pleasant.
The female experience was awful. The attendant did not show her around upon check in, did not give her the run down of the facilities, and did not even give her a decent sized locker when she had a big bag (and there were a lot of big lockers available). OK, a minor issue, no biggie, we are here to relax, all good!
First, the sauna — it was literally not on, not hot. The attendant was called over and simply said «yup, it is not on.» and walked away. OK, another minor issue, no biggie, we have a sauna at the condo we were staying at, we can do that later. We really wanted the steam room anyway.
Then, the steam room — the settings to adjust it were locked, stuck on maximum, OK, no biggie. You walk inside, and every few seconds it would shoot out some steam, making a horribly loud and obnoxious noise, completely destroying any ability to relax. The guy’s steam room would let out some steam from the vent maybe every 2 or 3 minutes, and it was quiet and like a normal steam room, not obnoxious at all, but still very hot and nice. So obviously something was off with the female steam room too. Again this was pointed out to the attendant, who was incapable of doing anything about it. Bummer.
So off she goes to her facial, not relaxed at all. She gets the facial. The lady does a pretty bad job at «extractions» (fancy way to say getting rid of blemishes or zits) even when she tells her that extractions aren’t a big deal, do what you need to do to get that crap out of my face. The massage on the hands and arms and head and face was lack luster, like a limp handshake where they just put their hand in your hand (that is NOT a handshake people). OK, bummer, three bad experiences in a row.
That’s just the beginning…
We meet up afterward, and she is not a happy camper, so we decide to let the Spa Manager (Paul Nunez) know about the experience, just so he can get things straightened out in the spa for next time, or for other guests.
We find Paul out front and tell him about just the sauna and the steam room not working correctly, without even getting a chance to talk about the poor facial job. We also complimented my massage technician and stated things were working smoothly on the guy’s side. But that’s where things got really rough, as Paul did not handle it well at all. He basically disagreed with our statements, calling my wife a liar indirectly, as he asked one of his employees to pull up an email where they apparently record the temperature of the sauna to ensure it meets Marriott’s standards, and apparently they measure it twice a day. He tells us that the temperature was exactly in the range that it should be. Did we decide to come up with a LIE? Did we ask for a refund or discount based off of these observations and statements? NO! We simply told him that the sauna was off, and the attendant confirmed it, yet he could not believe this as the email stated otherwise. Maybe your temperature gauge is off, maybe your email process is broken, maybe you should ask the attendant, maybe you should make a quick phone call or use your radio, maybe you should simply hear us out, make us feel heard, and move on with your day. Maybe you should do anything else except disagree with us and not provide an ounce of customer service.
Then we tell him about the Steam Room making god awful noises way too frequently, with no ability to adjust the settings on the women’s side, where the same exact steam room on the men’s side didn’t have these problems. Do you think the Spa Director listened, heard us out, maybe even apologized, made us feel heard and acknowledged? Nope, he again told us that the equipment is all brand new, that it is supposed to be hot (really?), and then he tried to be «cute» and say «I don’t get to go into the Women’s side that much for some reason». It was awful. My wife was on the verge of tears…

My wife and I stayed here for 5 days and 4 nights recently to celebrate our 10^th anniversary without the kids and it was AMAZING!!! The staff was friendly and beyond helpful. The resort is beautiful and you cant beat the white sand beach. The breakfast buffet is not to be missed as well as sitting at Quinns ever day for lunch. We both agreed that there was not 1 thing we could complain about. Absolutely LOVED the hotel and everything it had to offer!

Beautiful hotel, friendly and courteous staff. You do not need to leave the grounds. Quinn’s is a great place to eat (awesome blue cheese burger). The hotel has 2 amazing pools, 1 of the pools has a beautiful cascade and a great kiddie area.
The rooms are spacious, the bathroom has a spa like feel.

Beautiful outdoor pool area. Great customer service the staff is friendly and helpful and seems to enjoy working at the hotel. The inside is pretty and spa seems great.
This hotel is 1000x better than the Hilton at the same price.

…I dont think the reviews do this place justice. Yes the place was closed down for 3 months, but now its opening. I happen to book the night before and they advised me that the reopening would be my check in date Aug 1^st 2015;Sweet deal. Yes there was some construction in the front but you know what it didnt affect my stay. i hear some people say they had to pay for wifi, well i didnt it was free. They put us in the Palms tower since we had children and upgraded us to a partial view (people, just be nice when you check in and people will see what they can do to upgrade you, its a fact it works!). check in wasnt till 4, but since it was the reopening obviously they had our rooms ready. Very clean, very updated and very nice!
Re-​cap of the weekend, we had an issue with some person who profiled us since we didn’t have «Towels» at the pool and kept asking us if we were guest. We politely went to the front desk asked to speak to the manager about what had occurred. We didnt want anything in return we just wanted them to beware of what occurred to us, without even saying the last word he kindly asked us for our room numbers and offered us a $ 50 credit on our stay. Yeah its not alot, but you know what, it was the action more than the reward that made me felt like he did something, thank you!
**quick tip** they are converting this location to a JW Marriott by 2017, so you know what that means, room rates are going to sky rocket! I think what i paid was very fare for the amenities, location and very kind staff. So to the Marriott in Marco Island, i hope to stay there before it turns into something I cant afford!

Amazing staff very attentive even before we arrived. The pool is a bit small and usually packed with kids but not bad, just wish it had a view of the ocean. That space/​view was taken by the restaurant that looked very empty when we went to check it out.
The beach is beautiful everything is super clean and the size is perfect, not too big nor small with kitchens so you can cook some and eat out other days.

So, we spring for big bucks for the 5-​star resort this winter, and make the trek to the remoteness of Marco Island. All in all we were disappointed with the experience. We felt more like we were on a cheap cruise ship than at a top resort. If it were not for the nice beach, I would subtract another star.
First, the staff. Check-​in took two minutes, largely because no one went over the facility or its options with us. We had to learn as we go. We went down to the large pool in the afternoon, no chairs left. No biggie, we hit the beach. There was a corporate event down there that was taking over their beach, but we did manage to grab someone to set us up with chairs and an umbrella. Unfortunately, we were right in the path of the gas-​burning vehicles that were being used to shuttle things back and forth to the group function. Really, haven’t they heard about electric golf carts here?
Day two: headed down to the pool after breakfast, around 9:30. Again, no chairs. Over 100 empty chairs had towels draped on them, along with a hotel-​issued tag that reserves them. So, I politely went to the kiosk and asked «how do I go about getting two chairs»? The answer: «get here by 8am, people line up and reserve them with the towels.» Evidently, the hotel has a ridiculous policy of allowing chairs to be reserved in this manner for the entire day. So again, no pool use. I wasn’t going to set my alarm to wake up and hold chairs. So, for the entire week, we did not use the pool, even though the water was much warmer than the surf. It was like a low-​budget cruise with 1,000 people fighting over 200 pool chaise lounges.
Day three: Went down to the lobby for coffee, no complimentary coffee station here. Was told there was coffee in the café. Four dollars a cup and a line out the door. No thanks, so I rented a car and drove to Dunkin Donuts. Wanted a car to get off of the island for a while, anyway.
Day four: Just found out others were getting the daily paper delivered to their door every morning. No one told me about this at check-​in. Went down for breakfast, only to find it was a buffet (again, cruise ship quality, meaning not that good). Had lunch and dinner off-​premises.
Day five: Anxious to check out. Beds too soft. Sick of paying double for everything including $ 22 per day for parking. Everything at this resort is jacked-​up as far as the price goes, and because the island is remote (it’s 20 min. each way to Naples, the nearest town), it makes you feel like they have you over a barrel.
Now, there were some positives. I explained my issues to the front desk manager, who did listen and apologized. The housekeeping staff was okay. The tiki bar had good bartenders. But this was minor consolation considering the downfalls. In conclusion, although I do not plan to visit this island again, if I did, I would try one of the other two beach resorts. My stay here could have been extra-​special, but instead was disappointing and forgettable.

Most beautiful beach and great hotel staff members — bellboy (Frank), waitresses at Tropik, and maids. They go above and beyond to take care of guests.
Property is located right on the beach and access is controlled during the day. There are several eateries on property but they are always full and long line of 20~40 minutes (worth venture out to restaurants off the property, short walk distance to several restaurants… don’t bother asking concierge. They seem to not know anything beyond their desk). Lots to do, but majority are aimed towards family.
Cons: very crowded, room is about Courtyard or Springhill size (meaning: not that large for large family /​group…), long wait at everything, and $ shock on almost everything.
I have stayed in Sanibel (also marriott property), and Sanibel offered much bigger space and better for money.
Also keep in mind, this is Marriott «resort», hence there is no concierge room /​floor, so don’t count on free breakfast.

Very nice property situated directly on the beach.
Room was large, clean and well lit. It also included a balcony with a very good view.
Huge fitness center with an array of equipment.
Staff was friendly and accommodating.
Very good breakfast buffet with plenty of options.
Recommended.

Perfect weekend getaway!
This hotel is truly beautiful, from the lobby to the room, to the white pristine beach offering something for everyone. You can enjoy delicious on-​site dining, private resort golf courses, full-​service spa, and endless water activities for everyone to enjoy! Which by the way is a little over priced for my spending comfort (LOL!)
Nevertheless, this resort by far is classy, chic, fun! We love coming here and staying for the weekend. It truly feels like you’re in Paradise.
They have two beautiful Polynesian pools: one for adults (Quinn’s pool) and one for kids (Tiki Pool).
Quinn’s by the main pool service was a little slow, but the drinks were up to par!
This tasty Marco Island restaurant specializes in Caribbean appetizers, creative sandwiches and cool tropical drinks accompanied by sunset celebrations (a fire dancer). The Sunsets were phenomenal & majestic to watch.

This resort has everything you need. Very kid friendly! Would highly recommend this property to family and friends.

«Wow»…that’s about it. This hotel is a lovely place to stay. The lobby, the pools and the people make this place special. It all started when we walked into the hotel: we were greeted by three different people as we made our way to check in. We were greeted with a smile, and the lobby is very impressive. We then made it to the room. We had a fantastic view. Nice view of the pool and the ocean, and we were treated to a beautiful sunset each night right from our balcony. I don’t think that any of the rooms have a bad view. The rooms are nothing to write home about, they’re average. This place is all about its surroundings.
We visited the beach one day one and soaked in the sun. It’s an awesome beach… white powder sand, and seashells galore! Very big and wide. You have to watch the sunset, every day. No lifeguard on duty, so watch your kiddies. There are lots of watersports you can engage in while at the beach… check out the hut on the beach to make reservations. Free lounge chairs are available at the hut as well.
My son and I took the jet ski on the back water tour. I will review that on another page.
We also hit the pools during our visit. THIS is important. The pool with the water fall and the kid slide does not have servers walking around asking if you need anything. It’s all self service. If you want service, you need to head over to the big pool and push up the flag on your lounge chair and someone will come by. We had Tara helping us and she was great. The pools are very nice, but you need to get there early for lounge chairs. Pool opens up at 8 am and you will find a line to get in before it opens. Make sure you bring you towel card… each card is worth two towels. Once you get in mark your chair fast, otherwise you will be out of luck.
We ate at Quinn’s on the beach a few times (yummy fish tacos) and also had Gluten Free Pizza one night at Pazzi’s (pretty good). We enjoyed the breakfast buffet one morning, and it was very good (a little pricey, but delicious).
All the food was good.
This is a family hotel. Lots of kids at the pool and families running around… we were there during spring break time.
Pro’s: great location, friendly staff, amazing beach.
Con’s: We had to dig to find some of the service things at the beach and the pool, but it was just a learning curve. Really no con’s at this location.
