Absolutely delicious! Welcome vegetarians and vegans. Not your average sandwich shop. Tempeh is offered and the bread is vegan. I had the Tempeh BBQ and it was super tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Inside was clean. I can’t wait to go back to the place. So glad we found it.

If looking for a sub shop this is a great place to try. Service was friendly and helpful. Food was good portion and not to long to wait. Recommended.

I have no idea what her name is but she was working today at 4. She was very sweet and her service was outstanding! I had a great conversation with her and she seemed genuinely interested in my pregnancy. Favorite sandwich place!

The food was ok the few times I ate there. Ok meaning mediocre. Their service was never too hot or anything note worthy. But my ultimate breaker was attempting to order for delivery 3 times, each on separate days and times, just to try to give the benefit of the doubt. Alas, NO. Unfortunately every time a person answers the phone, well lets just say… good luck in even trying to get your order placed in under 15 mins. Sorry, but when you are trying to get a whole lunch fit into 30 mins. yeah THISISNOT the place I am afraid.

Planet Sub is a regular lunch spot for me. I love it when this restaurant comes up on our lunch rotation list! We usually come here because they email out great lunch deals(TIP: Get on their mailing list). For example, $ 2.99 for a 6″ sub or will pick a particular sub on their menu and significantly discount it. They toast all of their subs and wrap them in aluminum foil, which allows for the cheese/sauces/meat to melt together all the better when your meal is delivered to your table. The only awkward thing about this location is how their menu is mounted on the wall. You’ll be standing in line, waiting to place your order… but you can’t actually read anything off the menu until you’re right at the register. This forms a bottle neck in the ordering process. because no one knows what they want until they are at the register. The wall-mounted menu needs to be moved back several feet, so people waiting in line and figure out their order. Overall, I love this place and will be back to visit!

Planet Sub is in my lineup of regular lunch places for a number of reasons: tasty sandwiches, friendly staff, and good sale prices. The sandwiches are served toasted and they have all sorts of combinations — creamy crab is a favorite of mine. The bread is pretty good too. And you can customize the toppings, although I generally don’t on the principle that they should have all the combinations vetted before they hit the menu and if I don’t like something(which is rare for me anyway) then I was just not meant to like it. No point in making a custom sandwich if the chef and I just don’t agree on what should be on the sandwich in the first place. The staff are always friendly and obliging. There is one girl in particular who recognizes me and I’ve never seen her in a bad mood. Always brightens my day. In addition, Planet Sub send you email deals that are usually half off and take a slightly-more-than-Subway priced sandwich to a phenomenal deal considering the quality of what you’re getting.

Good food, good service. They do a decent sub, and having them foil wrapped helps keep all that toasty goodness intact if you get it togo.

Went to this planet sub location for a quick lunch. I had received a ½ off one sandwich email so I was excited to eat on the cheap as well. After ordering I noticed that the discount had not been applied. When I brought this to their attention, I was given a sincere apology and a voucher for a free sub on my next visit. Great customer service!!! For my sandwich, I had the pastrami melt and it was tasty enough. Good amount of pastrami on there and the brown mustard was very flavorful without taking over the sandwich. This is a great place to grab a bite if you find yourself in the Brentwood/Maplewood area.

My first time here. Got the turkey club and my boyfriend got the buffalo chicken. Both were phenomenal!

I have eaten at Planet Sub a few times and it’s delicious every time! Creative original sandwiches plus all the old favorites. The best part is their bread — yum! You can sign up to be on their email list and they will occasionally send out a same day special. And they don’t send lame promotions everyday, just coupons that are actually a good deal!

One of my favorite delis in the world is Psycha Deli in South Padre Island. It has a groovy, laid back feel to it. Planet Sub shares that same theme. When you walk in, the first thing you’ll notice is the music. They’ll have Jimi Hendrix or the Dead playing. Then you’ll notice the odd concert posters and trippy signs. I fully expected my sandwich maker to be wearing rose colored spectacles but unfortunately he looked normal and his eyes were a perfect shade of white. Since it was lent I went with the California Crab… crabmeat, avocado, sprouts and other earthy goodness. The sammies are toasted a la quiznos. The sandwich was good. I enjoyed my meal and it wasn’t too pricey. I have no clue how STL supports all these sandwich joints but they are everywhere. I liked Planet Sub but I wouldn’t rank them near Blues Street, Adriannas, or 9th Street Deli.

Many different selections of specialty sandwiches. It will take me awhile to get through the menu but I am sure going to try.

Was pleasantly surprised with the subs. The vegetarian options seemed endless. I chose the Californian sub which was tasty with the creamy guacamole and cream cheese spread. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.

One of my favorite lunch places right now. Get the Crab Californian! (Surimi Crab, Cream Cheese, Guacamole, Sprouts, Tomatoes, Salsa) in a low-carb wrap. Very Yummy! They do something very unique with Chicken in their sandwiches which makes the sandwiches explode with flavor. Planet Sub also does catering.

Soft and tasty brick-shaped bread in a variety of sandwich choices. I especially like the Signature Sandwiches: Creamy Club(Girls’ favorite) The Beefeater(Guys’ favorite) Bacon Mushroom Melt They do a pretty tasty baked potato soup and will add little bits of bacon and cheese to top it off. A single sandwich by itself usually leaves me a little hungry still but the soup portions are so big that a sandwich+soup might be a little too much. I just wish the sandwiches were just a little bigger or the soup was offered in a smaller size as well. I’m not really a potato chip person. If you’ve ever heard of a sandwich chain called Earl of Sandwich(first experienced at Planet Hollywood in Vegas 24 hrs and Disney Main Street in Orlando), this is the closest I’ve been able to get to an «Earl» sandwich.
