Biggest shout out to Harrington Movers. No one would tackle moving my 850 LB stove for repair except them. Thanks to Jeff and Crew. So professional with a focused, careful approach and determined to accomplish the difficult task of moving the Beast. Not one scratch or cracked stone flooring tile.

After 34 years in our house in Nutley, New Jersey we decided to relocate to Dublin, Ohio to be closer to my wife’s 87 year old mother. Downsizing and relocating can be a daunting task; however, Harrington Moving & Storage removed much of the stress. The appointment made with Irv for the moving estimate was conducted in a totally professional manner. Once the date was booked, Jeff Harrington sent four gentleman for the packing and loading. Yes, they were gentlemen, and excellent workers. The delivery in Ohio could not have gone better. We are not easily impressed, but Harrington Movers are definitely the best!

I tried to get estimates for my long distance move from NJ to FL, and reached out to Harrington, based on their good Unilocal reviews here. Unfortunately, all I ever got was a pre-​canned automatic reply from Amanda Hecht at Harrington, redirecting me back to their website. A follow-​up email to her direct email address resulted in no reply whatsoever.
Not a good start; needless to say I went with another company.

Spoke with Jeff and Irv and they helped us move an abandoned 1300lb (yes, one thousand, three hundred pound) safe from the basement of a new house we purchased. They were quick with a solid quote and ideas on how they could tackle the issue. They did what many others (contractors, movers) said could not be done, and they did it quickly, courteously and carefully. They managed to move the safe without damaging any walls and tiles, and were spot on their estimate. I am grateful that I was able to find them and will gladly use them again!

Since my review, Harrington Movers has addressed my complaints and have taken responsibility for the damages done to my house.
Dealing with Jeff was a much better experience than with the prior person I was in contact with during the time of my move. I give him a lot of credit for acknowledging the damages to the house as well as the prior poor experience in handling the situation but, most importantly, working with us to resolve the issues.
Although our initial experience wasn’t great, in the end they demonstrated that customer satisfaction is important to them.

AVOID! I waited for 40 min before calling to find out where they were. The reply I got was, «They are running late, they didn’t call you? I asked them to call you. Let me call them and call you back» Then one of his guys calls me and says he is running late. How late I asked, he says 10 – 10:30 (they were scheduled for 8:30!) They were also very unprofessional and impolite

AVOID! Horrible experience. They broke a pool table frame and sloppily packed a $ 4000 crystal chandelier — left the crystals as well as the light bulbs! on the frame and packed the heavy chandelier on top of a crystal ball that hung from the bottom!

I had to move from Weehawken, NJ to West New York, NJ and the original moving company we hired didn’t show up. Harrington Moving & Storage was able to be there on hours notice. Even bringing extra equipment and trucks. The movers were polite, careful and cheerful, so that turned a potentially bad day into a great day. I could have not have a better move! :) Highly recommend to everyone. You will not find a better moving company than this.

Great Company and Great Service! My roommate and I originally scheduled with another moving company (Stevenson’s Moving, LLC) that has horrible punctuality and service. They decided they wanted to arrive 7 hours after the time we agreed.
We called Harrington Moving and they came promptly the next day. The movers were efficient with great attitude. They disassembled and reassembled our furniture. And nothing was broken!
I will recommend this company to all my friends and colleagues.

Used Harrington to move from Maplewood to Short Hills this May and they did a great job, for a good price. Only snag they mixed up the day we were to move but took care of business. They were supposed to arrive at 8:30am got there at 10:00 but they made up for any lost time. I’ll use them again.
