History
Established in 2006.
Dumbo Moving + Storage started in Dumbo Brooklyn with 1 truck and an AMSA membership.
In 2007 people started moving to brooklyn and we were ranked 9.3÷10 on CitySearch.
In 2008 We expanded to 5 trucks and performed much more commercial and office relocations.
In 2009 Dumbo Moving was ranked 1 of 5 top moving companies on Yelp.
In 2010 we upgraded our fleet to 10 Trucks.
In 2011 we purchased 75,000 sq ft storage facility in Brooklyn.
In 2012 we grew rapidly and after 5 years Dumbo Moving maintains a fleet of 20 crews and trucks operateing daily and over 400 customers in storage.
We have always operated Dumbo Moving as a legit, fully licensed and insured moving company. This seems to not matter much on yelp, when you search for «movers» you will find mostly uninsured people with some sort of vehicle and a cellphone, but we firmly believe that the moving business revolves around trust.

Mainly a musician for most of my life, I came to NY in 1998 and followed the Brooklyn music scene in Williamsburg and DUMBO. I started working as a mover in the leading moving companies in NYC as a driver then manager. Later I opened a recording studio in DUMBO, but the scene began to change when musicians and artists were fighting with the landlords and developers, a lot of the pioneers of DUMBO left the neighborhood because they couldn’t pay rent or kept switching buildings. I decided to keep the studio, and to open a moving company next door named Dumbo Moving and Storage Inc., as an answer to the big migration to Brooklyn. DUMBO stands as a beacon for the first landmark coming in to Brooklyn, and Dumbo Moving was an answer for many of the newcomers. As a professional mover, with a passion for fairness, I decided to give customers an affordable solution for all the over-priced moving quotes in New york City. We now are the biggest, and most affordable moving company in Brooklyn.
