Cambria hotel & suites Maple Grove – Minneapolis

If you can, stay somewhere else! I had a reservation to check-​in July 18^th and called to cancel today to find out for the first time that they have a 30-​day cancellation policy meaning they would charge me for one night, yet when I called to make the reservation NO ONE made me aware of that. The guy that came on the phone pretty much said there was nothing he could do and he was just «the front desk guy» so my credit card was charged.

The staff were very sweet. We accidentally booked for Sunday instead of Friday. My son was just released from the hospital and we’d been traveling a while. They upgraded another guest so that we were able to stay at the standard rate. Rooms were nice, clean, beds comfortable. Good breakfast.

Stayed here for two weeks on business. The first room we got was on the second floor and had a broken air conditioner. We were told by the front desk to just crack open a window. Are you kidding me? That’s not the answer I wanted after paying $ 1700 to be there. The next day the manager here moved us to a room on the fourth floor with a working air conditioner and offered an apology. The hotel grounds and common areas were kept clean, but the room could have been better. Also, the wifi here was pretty weak. I think that the one thing I enjoyed here was the free breakfast. All in all, I may stay here again.

We stayed here for two weeks. The breakfast is excellent and the room was comfortable. The room service was extremely slow.
Our first few nights that we were there the air conditioner wasn’t working. They eventually changed us to a different room. The next room we got had and extremely nasty odor from the sink.
Wifi is slow
Again if it weren’t for the breakfast there’s nothing special about this place.

I booked this hotel to have our company offsite meeting at. The meeting was in one of their event spaces and we spent a total of two nights and three days at the hotel. Jordan and Samantha were perfect. I mean that with all sincerity, they were absolutely perfect. They were helpful and kind, knowledgeable, always were smiling and willing to help. I could not have dreamed of a better event coordinating team to work with! The front desk people were so personable and nice! Any time I needed the garbage changed in our meeting room or had questions about set up, they were on it immediately and with a happy to help attitude. I have never stayed at a hotel where 100% of the staff was amazing the entire time. Cambria, you killed it! I never want to go to another hotel again. I want to have our offsite there every single year. If I could live there, I would. Food was phenomenal, service was out of this world, and the rooms were so modern, clean, and comfortable! Let’s just say, I love you guys. Please feel free to pass this message along to the staff, they truly were the best! You guys should win the Oscar of awards for hotels!

Excellent hotel in my opinion. I usually get scared to rent at hotels under $ 160 and or less than 4 stars but decided to try this place bc I was extremely tired from driving right after work so I booked at the first hotel in sight and knocked out. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Rooms are large, spacious and relaxing. I booked in the King which had full size pull out bed couch and both sides had separate digital cable tv with gaming hookups if you have children that brought xbox etc. Bathroom/​tub was nice and roomy too with Bath and body works for body wash, shampoo, lotion etc. The only thing you might not be happy about is the weak wifi signal bc when I tried connecting it only gave one weak bar or none at all and I was on second floor. But since I came for a comfortable bed to sleep in that wasn’t on my priority list and I have at&t with rollover data that I hardly use. :) lol. So this is definitely the place to stay if you’re in the area. My fave was the breakfast bar had a delicious fruit bowls with a variety of breakfast items to choose from. You won’t be disappointed! \(^_^)/ Sorry no pretty photos bc I made this review during breakfast before checking out. LOL.

Very nice hotel. King suite rooms are very nice and like how they are designed. Décor is minimal but I’m good with that. The pool is quite small business the out is seatimg area is big. Kinda backwards for our region we live in with weather. No coffee in the lobby as they have a coffee bar so that was a negative. They have a bar and restaurant in the lobby. Over all its a great hotel and right off the interstate.

I will rate this hotel on a couple levels… Front desk (3 stars as they seemed a bit confused at times and needed help from one another to figure out their computer system and my mother was offered to join the hotels membership program and I was not, plus she got a cookie and I did not:(just weird to not get the exact service when purchasing two rooms on different cards as we were both checking in at the same time) — but all three were welcoming and professional and very informative! We were told that the bar was open til 11 when we had arrived at 10:35 that evening. We dropped our bags in the room and headed down to the bar at 10:50 to enjoy a night-​cap after a very long 10 hour drive.
Bartender (1 star) The older bleached haired lady that works in the bar was especially rude and condescending towards us, stating that the bar was closed. When we pointed out that our phones said the time was 10:53, she went to the back of the bar, opened a door and said her clock said 11:03, and she was busy counting her drawers and ignoring the other 10 men still sitting at the bar enjoying their drinks. Then she said is a snarky voice that she was sorry but the bar is closed. When we pointed out the front desk said the bar was open til 11 she said is 5 min after 11 when the whole world knew that was not the truth bc everyone’s cell phone said 10:55. Then, after sitting by the pool watching the kids swim for a half hour we noticed at least five guys still drinking at the bar at 11:30 while she was sitting and chatting with them! In my opinion she should be fired! In fact the way she treated us we will never come back here. Too bad bc the hotel was pretty nice. Clean, updated and included free wifi and breakfast (4 stars).
Seriously, whom ever is managing this hotel needs to take a closer look at their employees and rethink them… Driving customers away for sure!

I stay in hotels approximately 50 nights a year, and this is one of my top 3 favorite properties in the upper Midwest. From the friendly staff to super-​comfortable beds to above-​average fitness room, this property is my go-​to anytime I’m staying in the greater metro area.

Best place to o stay at. We got the double queen suite. It was huge and roomy. There was two sepetate rooms for the queen beds, a kitchen, a living room with a pull out bed. This placr is awesome, the staffs are nice. The fitness room is good but the pool is super small, like a hot tub size.

Ok… Really confused as to what to rate this hotel. In terms of the hotel room it’s better then 3 stars except for the strange smell. Almost like the toilet backed up. Room is outstanding in terms of how big it is and the bed and sheets are very comfortable. The Front desk people are Outstanding.
Ok, now the issues.
First night I had dinner at the bar. First thing out of the bar tenders mouth was we are on a very basic menu tonight because of a rookie cook. Ok… No problem ordered a Cheeseburger with Mushrooms, bacon and extra cheese. It comes out with no mushrooms and no extra cheese. I make the bartender aware and she brings out an single piece of cheeses but states they are out of mushrooms. Weird… Because 5 minutes later she brings out cheeseburger to 2 other people at the bar with mushrooms. Oh… The tater tots were cooked.
Next issue… After spending all day at work I come back to the hotel at 530p and had no service done on my room.
Last issue… Ate at the bar again. I know I should have learned but after the first burger was very tasty I thought I’d try again.
Ordered my burger and was very clear that I wanted extra cheese and bacon ONLY.
I get it with… Tomatoes, lettuce, onions and pickles. Very frustrating… Again the burger was good.
I’d go back and try another Cambria Hotel because of the great price.

I feel so swanky staying at this Cambria Suite. I have been here numerous times now and even though work is in Minneapolis I dont mind the 30 minute drive. Upon walking in, the front desk is so friendly. Every time I ask for anything, they go above and beyond to help. The rooms itself is very spacious, clean, comfortable bed, good work space, clean bathrooms, 2 teas and Wolfgang puck coffee. Behind the front desk is their Refill station which is like a small convenience store of all sorts of snacks, drinks, and basic essentials. The Internet speed: 1 – 1.5 Mbps download and 4−6Mbps upload which has been great for me to be able to work and surf the web. During peak hours, there has been some delays but that happens at most hotels.
Some Cambria Suites I have stayed at before didn’t offer breakfast but the breakfast here is superb. They have two different types of scrambled eggs, one with just cheese and another mixed with other veggies, hot oatmeal with sides of brown sugar/​cranberries/​nuts, breakfast potatoes, fresh cut mix fruit, cereal, cereal bars, apples, bananas, waffles, toast, skim and 2% milk, orange juice, and cranberry juice.
The gym is excellent, there are about 8 – 10 cardio machines, full set of weights, medicine balls, weight balls, and water dispenser. The pool is a little small, not big enough for me to swim laps. Otherall, this is my favorite hotel to stay in the area, I make all my coworkers stay here as well when they are here for work and they have all been super happy as well. Thanks for an excellent hotel and an even better helpful staff!

Nice, new, friendly hotel.
The rooms are modern. The staff is friendly.
Finding it is a cinch.
The food for breakfast seemed overly priced for what you would get (so we avoided that).
During our first stay, there was an unidentified red stain on the wall (I hope it was wine). I let the staff know and they were concerned to make things right (a good sign).
The free WiFi was wonderful. The bed was great and the pillows were a highlight.
The only fault is — for being so new — why aren’t there fans in the bathrooms? No one likes to have steamed up mirror post-​shower! And no one wants to hear their significant other’s bathroom noises! Put some fans in.
Otherwise — awesome place!

We where looking for one on the outside of town this trip and ended up here, The pool is a little small but the place is clean and well maintained. The only complaint was the sofabed was not very comfortable — but then few are. Yes this is a place we will stay at again.

This is a newer property, about 2 years old. My company had a global team meeting for about 40 people held at this facility, which accommodated the sleeping and meeting needs for 5 days.
The rooms are a «suite» style, with a spacious working area, with a couch and a wall-​mounted flat screen TV, a large console with a fridge, microwave and a coffee maker. The sleeping area has a very comfortable king-​size bed, cozily decorated and with an very comfortable mattress, another flat-​screen TV, and a well-​hidden closet. :-) you’ll see what I mean if you stay there. The two areas are divided by built-​in see-​through shelves, holding brightly colored large vases and vessels. The bathroom is decorated in a modern style, with all basic amenities. In my bathroom there was an unusual smell, reminiscent of poor drainage and stale water; but, thankfully, it was faint.
The hotel has a great gym, accessible 24 hrs a day — treadmills, ellipticals, free weights, medical balls and other gear, as well as an indoor pool. The breakfasts served over the course of the meeting were fine: nothing overly abundant, but a practical selection to start the day. The lunches catered to our meeting team were again, practical, somewhat conservative. But the late-​afternoon snacks had an great selection of cookies, brownies and fruit. For guests’ convenience, there is a café-​style dinner menu that you can have in the café area, or pick up and enjoy in your room. Of course, if you want to venture out for dinner, the hotel is extremely close to a significant variety of restaurants, all no more than 5 min drive.
The lobby is very nicely decorated, with computers set up for guests’ use, and practical seating arrangements, conducive to having a meeting or a chat, with very convenient power plugs placed in the floor and walls: well thought out! The staff is friendly and helpful, but I think they should have had one or two more people at the front desk: there always appeared to be a few guests waiting…

Very nice modern hotel with a pool and a bar. Hotel seems busy but stays pretty quite all day long. Nice Bed & Bath soaps and a great continental breakfast.

We wound up booking the room because the other hotel we were staying at wasn’t able to extend our reservation without charging us double what we were paying and making us change rooms. So it was a happy accident that made us find this location.
This is now the ‘go-​to’ hotel when my family and I return to visit the state. The pool is small as far as hotel pools, but the room was oversized (perfect for letting the toddler wear herself out). There was a separate sitting/​office area that worked well to be able to get work done while here. The beds were extremely comfortable and there was a nice sized mini fridge and microwave in the room.
The complimentary soaps are Bath & Body Works, which made me very happy. Very nice location on the NW corner of the Twin Cities Metro, very easy to get to all the highways. Though it is located just off of 94 when the windows are closed you can’t hear the highway.
We didn’t get a chance to try the food as we were too busy running around, no complimentary breakfast, but the option was there to purchase food through the café or small store. We did neither as it was so close to so many dining options and stores.
Mainly a business hotel, so very quiet overall, but also welcoming of families and I saw several kids including our own. Quiet rooms and even with a busy bar it stayed quiet.
We booked the room directly from the hotel’s site and got a slightly better rate than Expedia.

Pool is on the smaller side — that is the ONLY negative I’d give this hotel. It’s modern, stylish, full of conveniences. I will absolutely stay there again!

We happened on this hotel by accident. We are glad we did. For the price — this place is as good as it gets. A weekend stay is $ 79. The rooms are fantastic. Two room suites with a king bed is awesome. We like the contemporary décor. The spacious first room contains a flat screen TV, a sofa (sleeper), an ottoman, a desk and a mini fridge. The second room is filled with a comfortable bed and another flat screen TV. The bathroom is great. Because this hotel has just recently opened, the place is immaculate. The lobby is cozy, the bar (although there are few customers) is fun and the restaurant isn’t too bad. If you are a business traveler, or just getting away for the weekend, Cambria Suites is a very good choice.
