History

Established in 1965.

Washington’s Carpet One was started by Barnie Washington in 1965. Originally known as Washington Floors, the name was changed to Washington’s Carpet One when the store joined Carpet One in 1986. Carpet One is a group of nearly 1000 independently owned and operated stores throughout the US and Canada that have joined forces for better buying power and support. The store has many long-​term employees and installers and includes second and third generation family members of the founder.
