I don’t understand the previous review. The alarm clock was unplugged and needed to be reset and I had to pull hard on the recliner handle to make it go down but that was all I found wrong. I was looking for an inexpensive place to stay while I was in Mankato and was just hoping for a motel that was clean and quiet. It had that that plus a nice continental breakfast — cereal, toast and waffles — comfy bed and lots of hot water in the shower. The desk staff were friendly and I liked the free map of the Mankato area that they offered. There is a restaurant next door if you’re looking for a quick meal. The hotel is on the outskirts of Mankato but is 10 minutes from downtown and just about everyplace else in Mankato. I will definitely stay here again.

Never again! This hotel is horrid. Although clerks were very helpful and friendly and the mattress was acceptable, the following items were NOT acceptable: 1. Leaking, broken toilet 2. Loose handicap bar 3. Shower did not work at all. 4. Dirty, broken recliner chair 5. Old-fashioned(looked dirty) bedspread 6. Lights and alarm clock all needed to be adjusted, plugged in, etc. to make usable. 7. Needed clerk’s assistance to get into room, as our key failed to work. This was the worst motel I’ve ever stayed in, and at total bill of $ 88 for one night, it wasn’t exactly cheap!
