The first time they were great, then completely blew it by not showing up, not returning phone calls. Not a way to develop a good reputation.

Can’t say enough good things! I’m moving out of my gross apartment (which I haven’t occupied in months) and to the Upper West Side with my boyfriend. Since we were consolidating all of our stuff, I was getting rid of everything out of this old apartment. It was super easy to schedule online, and there was a guide to show you (in pictures) how much of your stuff you can fit into 1/​8, ¼, ½, or a full load, etc. I scheduled a full load for my 1 bedroom apartment. Mike and Rob showed up right on time on the day I scheduled, and immediately assessed the situation to let me know that a full load was exactly right, and to let me know up front that the additional packing that needed to happen (for them to clean out my kitchen cabinets) would be $ 30/​hour extra, which was much appreciated. They were not only the nicest guys in the world, but were SO efficient. They had moved everything out of the apartment and onto the street to load up the truck within 45 minutes. They were so cheerful and joked the whole time, not one complaint at having to carry out all the furniture up onto the street from a basement apartment, or at the fact that they had to disassemble some pieces. I spoke directly with the office (through Mike and Rob’s phones) to pay via credit card, but you can also pay in cash if you want. Everything went so smoothly! If I ever need any type of removal services again, I will totally be booking Remove My Junk again!

I was very satisfied. The guys showed up on time and had a pleasant can do attitude. No problem. The rate seemed competitive, and less than the better known names.

The guys did a great job with a good price. It was a normal $ 600 job but they did it for $ 400.

I CAN HONESTLY SAY THIS IS THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED FROM ANY COMPANY EVER!
I really wish you could leave less than zero stars, because that is what their service merits.
I scheduled a pick up from our office location in Manhattan for 3pm on a Thursday. After receiving a call at 3.30pm letting me know that they are only just leaving New Jersey, they assured me they would be here before 5.30pm to remove the (relatively small amount) of office junk we had.
After showing up at almost 6pm, the one guy at the door preceded to complain to me that there was no parking (in mid-​town Manhattan ay 6pm!).
They proceeded to disappear for another 15 – 20 mins, they collected the junk and were able to take it in two trips.
As they were SOO late, the office was now closed and I was in a rush to leave myself. On my way home, I was ambushed on the street my one of the guys saying we had not paid for the service. I HAD paid through their online service, and was not able to provide company card information from memory. After being laughed at and mocked in the middle of the street, I made it explicitly clear I had to leave and would address the issue upon being invoiced.
Two weeks later, an extremely rude and aggressive woman called me to let me know my card was declined. First of all, why is the charge being processed two weeks after we provided payment?! Secondly, after trying to confirm the payment she proceeded to shout down the phone at me, saying she is sending someone physically over to the office to collect a check as they have waited so long for the payment.
I am still yet to receive this invoice…

Very efficient to remove junk but DO NOT USE them FOR DONATION ITEMS. After pick up of mainly donation items at my house in Westchester, the 2-​man team was rushing to its next job in New Jersey and stopped at only one charity, without even trying to call a couple organizations to take what was not needed or accepted by the first charity. There is no coordination or planning of the driver’s route regarding donations. Discretion about if and where to stop is left to the drivers. Drivers seems to care less about donations and more about getting as many junk removal jobs as possible in the given time. The removemyjunk website’s «donations» tab is at best inaccurate if not misleading. Stay away if your goal is to donate items for charity.

All I can say is OMG. After expecting the worst, we got the best. Cleaning up for a coastal move from east to west is never a small job, and we had a LOT of purge that needed picked up. I call, we book, and I’m thinking, «it cannot be this easy in NY/​NJ». I was wrong. The guys kept in touch with me all morning (they were running a little late on their appointment). When they arrived, they did their onsite estimate (which came in at less than the phone estimate) and GOT BUSY. Sweetest guys, professional and nice, neat and smart in appearance for haulers, and they made it a GREAT experience. They’re not the cheapest, but always remember you get what you pay for. We certainly did. I would recommend contacting these folks for your hauling job!

My contact at remove my junk was Joseph, I reside in Florida and needed item removed from my son’s apt. a recent amputee, in the Bronx under circumstances that I needed immediate help. EVERYONE I spoke to at their office were extremely helpful. The guys who picked up the item were very considerate, they were late and kept me aware of what was going on at all time. I AM VERY PLEASED with the outcome and thank everyone that made it possible to the job done especially since we were working long distance they are the best THANK YOU AGAIN!

I have lived in NYC for many years and with that comes accumulation of STUFF! A lot of nice clothes and items I just didn’t need or have space for anymore.
The gentlemen who removed my items anticipated he’d be late (rainy day driving in manhattan), so he called prior to my appointment to let me know, which I thought was very polite. He then let me know, upfront, that I’d be charged slightly more than I was originally quoted, due to the # of stairs that he had to climb — again, I appreciated that I was told up front.
They removed everything very quickly, left me a thorough receipt for services and even complimented me on my apartment.
All in all, it was a very great service and hopefully I won’t accumulate so much in the future — but should that ever happen, I’ll DEFINITELY use Remove My Junk again.

I have used this firm on the last two major renovations we’ve done at my home. They are prompt, helpful and reasonably priced. I’ve dealt with Luis both times, and he has been great. We are contacting them yet again this week to haul off bathroom renovation debris. We don’t expect any difference in our expectations.

Because of the terrible, rude, snotty, obnoxious attitude of the woman who answered the phone, this company lost my business.

Great job! The workers came promptly and worked really hard at clearing out my mother’s apartment — in which she had lived for 72 years. The workers were super nice and very professional. Thanks!

Wow! I called these folks to take some super heavy IKEA stuff and couches out of my fourth floor walk-​up. They came fifteen minutes early, and whizzed through the job. Super fair price and ultra-​professional. HIghly recommend these folks!!!
Use them and give them a good tip!

We needed to dispose of some flats from a film set we were building. I called Remove my Junk around 8pm on Monday, on Tuesday at 5:30pm they swung by our location to pickup the materials promptly and efficiently.
We had less material than I originally anticipated but they were understanding and offered a really good rate.
On the phone and in-​person they’re really nice and pleasant people and overall it was a great experience.

From the customer service to the drivers. It was excellent, efficient and fast. I will definitely be using your service again as I sort out what other items we do not want in our new home, and I will recommend your service to others.
Thanks again for renewing my view of customer service. It is so nice to see in 2011, when everything seems to be more about the dollar than the people.
