I’m incredibly happy with how my brows look now. It’s a relief. The woman who did my brows was a sweetheart and very skilled.

My girlfriends and I got a $ 60 voucher from another event for Wink so we decided to check this out. I have never done anything to my lashes and brows so it was quite an interesting experience. However, the results were just ok. I scheduled for an appointment for eyebrow threading/​tinting and eyelash tinting and overall, the process took about 15 minutes. I was a bit disappointed with the eyelash tinting because in the end, I didn’t really see much of a difference. The brows were decent but after I washed my face when I got home, the tinting kind of faded away. Not sure if I would have paid full price for the services though. Overall, the place is pretty small. They have 4 chairs and some ample space in the waiting area. I do want to try their eyelash extensions but they are pretty pricey.

After purchasing a deal for lashes on Gilt City, I went to Wink for a brow threading and full natural set of lashes. Tenzin was amazing — did a wonderful job threading my brows and was very gentle and careful with my lashes (it was my first time getting eyelash extensions). They look fantastic and very natural, I definitely plan to go back in 4 – 6 weeks for a refill.

I had an appointment at Wink, after reading many reviews I went to Tenzin. My previous brow lady had moved out of state and I was reluctant to find a new one. Tenzin was very kind and loved my «full brows». The shop is very nice and welcoming and the price point here isn’t bad at all but I was not happy with my shaping. There were many hairs left over and not trimmed. I expected precision that comes with threading and did not get that in my final result, though she definitely cleaned up a lot of hairs I had. The picture on the bottom is my brows AFTER seeing Tenzin (notice many little hairs on top, marks from popped string on bottom) and the above photo is after seeing my old brow lady. I loved that this was my first brow experience with ZERO pain from thread however, I doubt I will be returning.

UNREAL.
I hate to be «that guy», but do not go here. There are many other places in the city that offer similar services at a fraction of the price.
1^st Time:
My first experience here was not good. Yes, the staff is very pleasant, but they can be way too pushy at times. They will say anything to make an extra buck. The worst part is that the add-​ons they try to convince you to get are totally not worth the money you end up paying. I began with a brow tint, and migrated to a full set of lash extensions. What a serious waste of money. The lashes were wildly uneven and the glue was everywhere. I was only happy with my brow tint, but I didn’t agree with the price.
HERE’S WHERE IT GETS INSANE.
2^nd Time:
I decided to walk in for a much needed threading and brow tint. The lady shaped my brows just fine, but I was very unhappy with the tinting process. They were awfully thick. All the lady said was, «Um the extra color on top will fade over time.» She straight up slapped the color on. I convinced myself my brows looked better than when I first arrived, and proceeded to pay. I asked if I could leave a tip on my card, and the woman asked me how much. I said $ 7. S-​E-​V-​E-​N. She said she would email the receipt, and I dashed out of there. Several days later, I decided to clean out my inbox and came across the excessive amount of emails I received from them just for that visit. I almost screamed when I looked at my receipt and saw the RIDICULOUS TIP they tried to get away with. I can make no excuse for them. I called, explained the situation, and they said they would refund the difference within one day. Definitely ignore this overpriced, unprofessional place the next time you’re in the neighborhood.

Do NOT use this place for eyelash extensions under any circumstances. I can’t speak for the brows because I’ve never had them done here but I purchased an eyelash extension voucher from Gilt and figured that Gilt would never lead me astray. I thought wrong!
They are amateurs in the eyelash business and they butchered my eyes. I had a bad feeling from the start, when my technician didn’t ask me about length or curl type prior to trying to start the session. I had to bring it up with her. I get eyelash extensions regularly (at places that only do eyelashes) so I’m used to a well oiled routine when you walk in the front door. These people, on the other hand, aren’t really sure what they’re doing.
Throughout the session, my technician poked me with eyelashes so the experience was anything but relaxing. I noticed that she removed the tape (that holds down the bottom set of lashes) half way through. When it came time to open my eyes, I couldn’t! They were glued shut because the lady had applied multiple eyelashes to my bottom real lashes and the glue from the top lashes stuck to my real bottom lashes. It was a mess! (See pics)
Needless to say, I was upset but I didn’t make a fuss at first. I allowed her to try to fix the mistakes. I was quickly able to open my left eye but she couldn’t get my right eye unstuck. At one point she actually handed me a q-​tip as I was laying down and asked me to remove the glue myself. What?! I got pissed at this point and got up to find a mirror. Two other technicians had to step in and help me to remove the glue so that I could open my right eye. At this point, my eye was red and swollen and some of the original lashes had come off.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The receptionist offered me complimentary fills but there’s no way I’m coming back to this place, no matter how many free things they throw in!
Word to the wise: you’re much better off choosing a real eyelash salon. I’m only letting the pros near my eyes from here on out!

I just went to Wink Brow Bar this morning to get both fill in and reshaping from Tenzin. I had wanted to make my arched eyebrows straight like those of Lily Collins. And Lo! Tenzin did the magic! She was courteous and professional. I like the result and will go back to her for more in the future. You won’t regret it!

Wink is my favorite brow bar! The staff is very friendly and attentive. They are also very organized and efficient. If you’ve booked an appointment ahead of time, you are never left waiting. The space is bright, modern and very inviting. The facilities are very sanitary as well. I always leave feeling polished and knowing that the staff has done a pristine job on my brows! The online booking tool is super convenient as well.

I think this place preys upon people who are not too familiar with threading? That’s the only way I can really seem to justify its existence.
I am Pakistani, and like most other girls of South Asian descent, I have been getting threaded ever since I was a pre-​teen. That being said, I am very familiar with the threading process, general pricing, etc.
Wink Brow Bar is so outrageously overpriced that I legitimately don’t get why anyone would go here? In general, for NYC, threading for upper lip and eyebrows COMBINED costs around $ 15-​$ 20 max (again, basing this off of years of experience). At Wink, they charge $ 19 for a «tidy up» and $ 27 for a «shape up» — and this is just for eyebrows. LOL WUT?!?
Maaaaaybe the price would be justified if there was SOMETHING… ANYTHING…different about Wink’s threading process. But, there is absolutely nothing unique about it. The women do not do an exceptional job. They don’t do anything special. The salon is nothing out of the ordinary.
Overall, I am just really perplexed by the unjustifiable pricing of this threading salon for the service they provide. Just go down the block and get the same exact thing for half the price…

I popped in today with no appointment
I was greeted by 3 very friendly faces, which was so welcomed!
Shanti did my brows she gave me a tint, tidy and a temple message…
She was excellent, professional and clearly knows what she’s talking a about!
I could not recommend her enough!

Love coming here. They are very professional, very thorough, very clean. Nice atmosphere. They definitely upgraded my brows. After years or horrible shapes and overplucking, I finally put down the tweezers and put my brows in their hands and haven’t looked back since. I would never go anywhere else.

One word: Tenzin.
She is literally a godsend. I made an appointment with her after her raving Unilocal reviews and arrived almost 30 minutes early. (SINCE WHEN IS MTA EVER ON TIME?!) Five minutes later I was seen and ten minutes later I was out the door. She did amazing. This was my first time getting my eyebrows threaded and it was quick and painless. It was not gooey and sticky like wax and I did not feel like my whole face was being pulled off. It’s pretty pricey but it’s worth it. I will definitely be making this my brows new home!

I received a complimentary brow threading from Lookbooker. I arrived a few minutes for my appointment but the receptionist was really nice. She checked me in and offered my a glass of champagne. This was my first time threading my brows so I did not what to expect. The technician Tenzin was skilled and serious about her craft. I love how she shaped my brows and will definitely return in two weeks! Overall, awesome experience.

Def an expensive place to go for a threading. The lady was very sweet and gentle but she made my arch a little too high. And even though I have thick brows she was persistent to tint my eyebrows… O_​o?

This place is dirty eye lashes technicians don’t even have a licence to practice. I wasn’t offered champagne. The manager wasn’t paying any attention to me but instead she was talking on the phone about her own business and she was really loud.
This place is a joke I do not advice anyone to go here for anything so expensive for not reason.
Be aware so DIRTY!!!

If you want your eyelashes done, go to Bling Lash on 23^rd street and fifth avenue.
This place poked me and pinched me, prodded, and jabbed at my eyes for an hour+, and it wasn’t even a full set. I was getting refills because my main place couldn’t fit me in and I had a wedding. I didn’t hear her wash her hands. I didn’t hear her opening any utensils from
Sanitary bags. The tape was stabbing me in the inner eyelid the entire time, despite multiple attempts to readjust it. And now, fifteen minutes after my appointments, my eyes itch like crazy.
Pretty sure they gave me an infection.
Call Bling Lash.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I originally went here to get eye brow extension. I called and made a appt. When I got there it was around 5. The woman asked me if I wanted eye lash extension too. I said sure if you have enough time (because the woman on the phone said each process was 2 hours and it wouldn’t be time). She starts on my eye lashes 1^st (the least important thing). The desk person comes down around 6:30 and asked if I can pay now becuz she has to close out. She proceeds to tell me the eye lash extension are 350 $ when the sign upstairs said «250 $ last up to 3 weeks 55 $ to fix them after that». So now I’m confused. She then says ok. $ 250. Also the lashes didn’t really look like anything was there. She was like well then you need «very full» but if I do very full I don’t have time to do your brows (which is what I originally came there for). Then the desk women goes well the very full lashes are $ 250. So she charges my card 500 $, did my brows and told me she won’t be in for 2 days to come back to fix the lashes. Came back 3 days later. She added more and put longer lashes. They look a little better but still not what I wanted. I still have to put strips over these lashes and fill in my brows. I can’t honestly say THE WORST $ 500 I have ever spent in my entire life. Plus a 20 $ tip. I will most definitely never go back!!!

I made an appointment at Wink after reading the great reviews on here, despite my friend recommending Brow Haus. I have never gotten my eyebrows threaded before, and I was looking forward to visiting a place that would consult me on shaping etc. which is why I chose Wink. I had grown out my eyebrows for 2 months purposely to get them re-​shaped and I was looking forward to this appointment!
I want to be totally honest that I was 10min late to the appointment because I walked the wrong way in the pouring rain, so that may have colored this experience. However, I don’t really think there is an excuse for the poor service I received.
I waited about 10 minutes to be seen, which is fine since I was late, but when I sat down in the chair, the woman treating me told me to lay back and hold my eye taut, and immediately began without even saying hello or asking what I wanted! I had mentioned to her as I was sitting that I had never done threading before and she did not comment. She just went at it right away. I tried to say nicely a few times that I wanted to talk about the process beforehand, and she ignored me. I finally had to sit up (even though she was basically already done on one brow!) and be very firm that I wanted a consult/​her to tell me what the hell she was doing. I didn’t get much but the woman behind the desk came over and placated me a bit with 1 comment about «more of an arch.» I was laid back down and done in literally 2 more minutes.
I had planned to purchase a pencil or other products etc after getting advice from the technician, but after that experience I literally ran out the door. It would be one thing if I was paying $ 7 at a walkin salon that are a dime a dozen here, but I purposely decided to come to a place like this for the service, which I absolutely did NOT receive.
I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because my brows did come out nice. However, I have never had an experience at a salon like this where they begin (with a fairly painful procedure, no less) before even acknowledging you. Absolutely do not recommend– I am betting some of the cheaper salons have better service for a fraction of the price.

I’m not big on getting my eyebrows done but wanted to change that. I found this place after reading the reviews on Unilocal.And I must stay ive fallen in love with getting my eyebrows done. I got the tint and and shape package and my eyebrows have never looked this good. She took her time and would stop threading when I flinched as I’m not use to having my eyebrows threaded. The color came out beautiful and natural that even my hard to impress husband noticed. I also got eye lash extensions as well. Figured why not since im on a roll in trying new things.
Even that came out beautiful I don’t know about the other reviews about the eye lash extensions but mine’s was positive. I didn’t tear once and I have the most sensitive eyes as I wear contacts. Plus bonus is they have the fab lash club definitely a money saver. The staff was warm, friendly, and didn’t mind I had my 3 year old son with me. I will definitely be back.
