Skyway Window Cleaning

The gentleman arrived early, were polite, worked efficiently and quietly, cleaned up as they moved through each room and did a really fantastic job. Everyone at this company I spoke with was polite and efficient and the prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend Skyway.

The two gentlemen who came for cleaning my windows were super polite and punctual. Gave the estimate before start of work, did a phenomenal job, and left the place looking as before. The attached pictures say it all! Whatever problems they were having in the past have been corrected and they are a fantastic service company.

This is a great company. First, I called the phone number and spoke to a nice, polite woman who let me know how the process worked and she gave me a basic quote — which turned to be exactly what I was charged. She was very professional when I called to cancel due to the snowstorm in January and also when I called back to reschedule a week ago. This morning, two young men showed up on time and did a quick review of the windows and gave me the final quote. There were no surprises and our windows were sooooooo dirty. The window washers were very polite and made sure to lay down towels wherever they were working so nothing got wet or damaged. Not only did they wash the windows, but they also wiped the frames so there wouldn’t be any drips or dirt left behind.
I really can’t say enough good things!!! We will never use anyone else!!!

The good thing about having clean windows is that you can actually get a view of the outside world. The bad thing is having a view of the outside world that includes an ugly-​ass building…
Note that if you need the frames cleaned as well as the windows, they will charge you extra, so be sure to ask about that. They give you an estimate over the phone and an actual price once they see the windows. For me, the actual price was cheaper than the estimate. (that’s gotta be a first!)
Ok this is how I break down the 5 stars: 1 star for having an arrival window of only 1 hour, (my last guys used to have min 2 hours and would arrive late) and for arriving within the time frame. 1 star for wearing the little booties over their shoes and making sure to clean up properly. 1 star for doing a great job. 1 star for friendly service! Final star for sending 2 cute guys, Vova and Anatolii ;).

I had the most awful experience with Skyway Window Cleaning. First off the cleaners were 2 ½ hours late, I was fine with that since I was planning to be home the whole day but when they arrived they were anxious to get the job done very quickly and didn’t really clean the windows that well. I live on the top floor and there are a lot of pigeons that hang out over our windows so we have some bird poop spray (gross) all over some of our windows. When I saw the cleaners hadn’t gotten off the bird poop I asked them if they could clean it off. One of the cleaners said it was permeant and embedded in the window and could only be taken off with Acid. I said okay and paid and they left. But on inspecting the windows myself and trying to get the bird poop off with a rag, I discovered it came off easily! I was really upset because I couldn’t reach the outside of top window safely to clean the rest off myself. I called the Skyway and asked them to please send the cleaners back. After several calls and a lot of back and fourth I finally got the cleaners to come back when I told the company I had canceled the payment for not finishing the job. I was little flustered by this time and rather annoyed, and one of the cleaners sensed this and started giving me attitude. He pretty much yelled in my face saying I shouldn’t expect them do to such a great job for only $ 11 dollars per window! I was willing to pay more for them to get the job done well, but they said thats how much it cost so Im only supposed to expect a half cleaned window? SO absurd. It was also quite traumatizing to have a stranger yell at me in my own home. If you’re looking for more then just a light once over with a squeegee on your windows, look elsewhere.

I live on the fourth floor and had trouble finding someone to clean my windows. I called and got an appointment the same week. The two men came in and did a great job cleaning the windows. Plus– it only took about half an hour. I would definitely use Skyway again and recommend them to anyone!

I called and scheduled an appointment for Skyway to clean the windows in my apartment. On the set day, I waited at home; no one showed up; I contacted the company and was told the cleaner was running half an hour or so late; I waited; when the cleaner was over an hour late, someone called me and said he was stuck in traffic and they would have to reschedule for tomorrow. I thought this rude, but went along with it. On the next afternoon, I again hurried home from work and waited. .. and waited. .. and waited. When the cleaner was an hour late, he called and said he was stuck in traffic and he thought it would take another 25 minutes to get to my apartment. At this point, I had it. I don’t know whether Skyway treated me badly because it was a small job and they wouldn’t make much money from it, or because it was a residential job and they don’t do many residential jobs, or because I am female, but it was clear that the staff felt absolutely no obligation to show up for scheduled appointments, even when I had rearranged my schedule in order to accommodate them after they failed to show up the first time. It’s just not worth it – there are plenty of people who clean windows, and it makes no sense to do business with a firm that has no service ethic.

I called in the morning and they were able to fit me in the end of the day for a residential cleaning (there were no appointments for the next two days). My windows are extra large and complicated, they did SUCH A GOOD JOB! I was really impressed. I get my windows cleaned ever other year or so and sometimes the work that is done is just ok. But I was really blown away at how professional, meticulous and quickly they worked. BTW there were 2 cleaners which made the whole process even better, especially for the end of day. These are my new window washers and I’ll consider doing it yearly now! Thank you thank you thank you! Great company!

11÷14÷14: I called Skyway Window Cleaning on Monday 11÷10÷14 and spoke to Peter. I am new to New York and needed 6 windows cleaned in my apartment. Having never done this before and having read some terrible reviews of several window cleaning companies I was very nervous about someone coming into my apartment and making a mess especially since all my furniture is new!
I asked Peter if I could get a Certificate of Insurance for my co-​op and get the windows cleaned this very week. I also called him several times with questions on the first day and he answered the phone every time. By the next morning, Tuesday, I had the certificate and he sent a very nice guy on Thursday 11÷13÷14 to clean the windows. Oleg was very professional, courteous and respectful of all my belongings and did a wonderful job on my windows. I will definitely use this company again. What a relief to find a good company!

The job was done, windows clean. However, the demolition-​derby team members that came stood on my pale yellow built-​ins with shoes on, without any protection after I had put on it an old sheet. Stood on radiators. This is after I had given them a choice of two ladders as they didn’t bring any. Left black drops afterwards, did not clean up after themselves, bedroom window sill now stained. Knocked down a radio. Have never seen such careless and rough work. They are cheaper than my old company, but it’s definitely a case of you get what you pay for.
Addition:
The owner of the company called, he was most apologetic, offered a free window cleaning (which, for the record, I declined) and asked how he could fix any problems. I said he needed to retrain his men. He assured me that he would. This call shows a proprietor who cares about his business and will correct the situation.

Very competitive pricing vs it’s peers and great service. I wasn’t home but the nanny said the guy was courteous and worked hard in cleaning the windows. Andrew was alo great at all the coordination and very responsive via email.

Skyway washed my windows yesterday and I was extremely pleased! First of all, I had to reschedule since it was raining on my original day and they moved the appointment with no problem. The guys arrived right on time, went to work and did a great job. We have high windows in our townhouse and they handled them without problem. I also appreciated the fact that they checked with me before doing anything that would cost extra (such as using the tallest ladder and washing the screens). I highly recommend!

These guys did a great job, very neat, put everything back in its place and the windows look great. Fast and efficient. Great Job! I have a one bedroom apartment with three giant windows, they did a great job! If you have large windows get them professional cleaned!!! It is so worth it!

Picked up the phone late on a Saturday, came Monday morning, did an excellent job, and it was a good price. Not much to say except that I will definitely use them again.
