Sandra Reid Photography

Sandra was the best vendor in our suite of supporting vendors for our wedding. When we consider all of the suppliers/​companies we interacted with for our wedding day, Sandra was truly better than everyone else. Her end product is truly amazing; we have received more complements on our wedding and engagement photos than we ever expected. Not only is Sandra a true artist and professional, she is very aware and focused on ensuring that our wedding day was special for the two of us. I have attended several weddings where the photographer does not blend into the wedding and it was very distracting. Sandra was able to have fun with our guests and the bridal party, but was able to blend in as well. This difficult balance was masterfully achieved, while still not missing a single shot opportunity.
Sandra’s love for her art and for weddings in general is contagious. You will thank yourself for selecting her as your photographer — we cannot believe how lucky we are to have had her involvement with our wedding.

After doing a lengthy online search for professional photographers who take baby photos in New York City we came across Sandra Reid’s website and were instantly taken by the incredible shots of other babies she had posted to her website
. Her bright, fun and unique shots were exactly the type we were looking for. We ultimately decided to contact her and arrange a date.
Sandra was extremely easy to work with. She was flexible in terms of arranging dates and times that worked best for us. She was also very helpful making sure that she understood exactly the style and type of photos we were interested in. She welcomed us into her studio which was very warm and inviting and did a great job making us feel instantly comfortable and at home. She was also wonderful with our daughter who is usually skeptical of strangers, reserving the biggest smiles for mom and dad. Amazingly, she was taken with Sandra at once and she was able to bring out some great smiles immediately.
Shortly into the shoot we became very concerned when it became clear that our daughter was tired and fussy. We didn’t think she was going to make it through the shoot but Sandra worked very efficiently and fast, allowing us breaks in between to feed and cheer up our child. Despite our best efforts, our daughter wasn’t in the smiling mood for a majority of the day; however, you would never know that based on the final result. Sandra must have captured every single smile she gave us and the end result was exactly what we were hoping for! We couldn’t believe how smiley she looked in the end.
I can not emphasize how happy we are with the results of our shoot. These moments are so precious and capturing them was so important to us, we would strongly recommend Sandra to anyone going through this exciting chapter in their lives.

Sandra is an amazing photographer. My family has hired Sandra for many years and we recently had the privledge of working with her as our wedding photographer. We did our engagement shoot in NY where she did a wonderful job of making us look great despite freezing temperatures. Our wedding was the opposite extreme but you’d never know we were melting in the 106 degree weather when looking at our photos. Sandra does an amazing job capturing the essence of each person and each special moment. She makes you feel instantly at ease and her photos reflect her subjects comfort. She is extremely creative and thoughtful. Her photos are works of art. I highly recommend her to anyone needing a professional photographer, especially if you want to be worry free about your special event. She is the best! We recently had our engagement shoot with Sandra and we were 100% thrilled with the experience. Sandra came to the shoot prepared with tons of ideas for creative shots and was also completely open to incorporating our ideas for fun and unique shots. She has a wonderful positive energy, helping to make the day relaxed and a ton of fun! One other distinguishing quality is that Sandra is time sensitive, a quality that I have heard many wedding photographers lack. She posted some of the top photos on her blog by the end of that day and had the full set of proofs to us within a couple of weeks!

I got married in November 2010 which deems this review long overdue but I thought it necessary to express my true admiration and appreciation for the beautiful pictures that Sandra Reid was able to capture on the most important day of my life. I found Sandra on
while searching through photography vendors in the Boston area and was immediately drawn to her vintage/​antique style of shooting that seemed romantic and ethereal. Though fairly new to the east coast as she had just moved across the country with her husband, I was convinced that she would add a fresh eye to an all-​too-​familiar town that had already been saturated with your cookie-​cutter photographers. I was sold the day after meeting/​speaking to her in person. Not only was she extremely friendly but she put in that added time and effort to understand us as a couple. How did we meet? How would you describe eachother using 5 adjectives? What’s our sense of style — playful, classy, etc? She talked about her passion for photography with so much conviction that I knew I had made the right choice.
Sandra photographed us for both our engagement shots as well as the day of the wedding. Because I could go on and on about why I loved working with Sandra, the output itself speaks louder than words. My wedding photos created a stir amongst my family/​friends once they were posted — all positive reviews of course but hearing the cries of excitement from single women with no intentions of getting married to suddenly wanting to walk down the aisle after having seen my photos is extremely flattering. Thanks to my husband who already made me feel so very special but I have Sandra to thank for making me look like the beautiful bride that I always dreamed of being.
All in all, Sandra Reid is professional, resourceful with feedback, quick with her photo delivery, and readily available for any ad hoc questions or concerns. More importantly she has a phenomenal eye for creative photography that’s unique and helps to distinguish her individualism as a photographer. I am a huge fan of Sandra’s work and would recommend her in a heartbeat!
