Yoga is not just hippies, its for athletes. You will gain flexibility, strength and balance as you become a better athlete. Yoga will teach you how to integrate the body, the breath and the mind to stay focused, even in the face of intensity.
Whether you’re a runner who is interested in improving form and avoiding injury or a yogi who is interested in signing up for your first race, you can learn to run like a yogi.

Business Owner
Ashlee is a 6 time marathoner, ultramarathoner and a Yogaworks 500 hour certified teacher specializing in Yoga for Runners and Athletes. Having been a runner and yogi since her teenage years (as well as a dancer), she knows the importance of restoring balance to the body in order to recover faster, avoid injuries and train harder. Her classes and private sessions focus on an attention to alignment, deep restorative stretching and practicing awareness of the body in real practical terms. She finds that yoga and running have a lot of crossover. The deep breathing and quieting of the mind that is practiced in yoga can be very helpful in the last miles of a marathon. She teaches at various locations throughout NYC, is a running guide with City Running Tours, and is on the coaching staff as a yoga instructor for Team Continuum.
