Since our day in New York began with Swedish candy, we wanted to continue the Swedish day with a stop at my favorite kids clothing store. As usual it didn’t disappoint me. The store is like all pop stores. Neat. Orderly. Full of kids clothes. This one had a nice big sitting thing, a table with toys for the little ones and of course a bathroom with changing table. Nice! The prices are as they are in Sweden. They’re not cheap, but knowing that the quality is pretty awesome the price to me is no big deal. I can see why people think it’s expensive for children clothes because they grow our of if and yes they do but hey, hey Pau for good quality and nice clothes … plus they are eco friendly. Needless to say I love this brand and my daughter have plenty of p.o.p clothes to go around which I will be able to use for our second child whenever we decide to have one.

I discovered this brand at Nordstrom a few years back and was so happy to see them move into lower Manhattan. Polarn O Pyret is a lovely children’s clothing store located right next to Washington Market Park. The clothing is stylish, practical, somewhat unisex, wears and washes well. What I like most of all is the quality and fit. For whatever reason, the clothes are cut so much better than Hanna Andersson or other leading childrens’ brands. They fabric is mostly 100% cotton, does not shrink or fade, and very well made. The shop itself is large, bright and airy. There is a Brio train table to entertain the kids, and generous sized dressing rooms to accommodate a child who would rather mug for the mirror than try on clothes. Staff is helpful and friendly. Overall a great addition to the neighborhood. Prices are not cheap, but the sales are good.

Polarn O. Pyret is a Swedish children’s clothing store, full of beautiful and high-quality baby and children’s clothes. The styling feels quite a lot like hanna andersson, right down to the fondness for stripes. The store is large, not too crowded with merchandise, and has a train table to keep the little ones busy while you shop. Only downside are the prices. We bought a beautiful $ 40 shirt for 50% off, but babies grow so fast that it’s hard to justify spending that kind of money on a regular basis.
