Torly Kid serves as a lifestyle shop — where members of the community can experience life at every stage. Every year, Torly Kid produces various fun-​filled, philanthropic and educational events for children and tweens. Each spring the store hosts a tween party and hula hoop contest, a book swap (each April) and a Halloween candy drive benefiting local and national charities.

History

Established in 2004.

Torly Kid opened as Babylicious in 2004, catering to the influx of new families in Tribeca. After outfitting and accessorizing the under-​7 set for six years, owner Carol Adams decided it was time for Babylicious grow with the neighborhood.

Reborn as Torly Kid, the store now stocks clothing up to size 12 for boys and size ¹⁴⁄₁₆ for girls.

Owner Carol Adams is a Tribeca mom whose daughters, Tori and Carly, not only inspired the store’s name, but its fun, colorful safari theme. Noticing a void for tween clothing options in the neigborhood, Carol revamped and reopened Babylicious into its current incarnation as Torly Kid.
