Patient amazing teachers. I usually study with Kevin but you can’t go wrong with any of the teachers. It had been a while since I’d been in voice lessons so I was nervous but Kevin made me feel so comfortable and my voice is already improved in just a few sessions. I don’t know what took me so log as two of my friends booked incredible jobs (one a Broadway show and one a national tour) after taking from Kevin. I’m making lessons a permanent part of my schedule.

I’ve known Kevin Michael Murphy for several years and through him was able to begin taking lessons with Molly McCarthy Egan for more than a year.
Since working with Molly, my voice has really evolved and I’ve begun to better understand my instrument. Molly is attentive and thoughtful in her teaching technique. She helps me to understand everything the best way I can by speaking my vocal language.
Molly is also great at helping me prep for auditions in a pinch and work through all of my selections to make strong, connected, specific acting choices — which help me feel that much more confident in the audition room.
I highly recommend the NYC Vocal Studio and Molly McCarthy Egan for anyone looking to learn more about their voice and improve their skills. On top of all the great work they do — they are SO affordable!!!

I’m an absolute beginner except a little bit of singing in a school choir.
I’ve always liked singing, but never knew how to do it right, until now.
I’m working with Dan Lawler. He is a great teacher. In the few lessons that I had so far, I’ve learned so much already. Amazing! He makes me feel comfortable with my voice and after each lesson I go out with a smile on my face. It’s so much fun!

I’ve loved studying voice at the studio with Molly. She has a caring, insightful approach, and seems to have a 6th sense about knowing what songs to pick for my voice and my persona. Her approach has boosted and strengthened my range and given me confidence in auditioning again. And she’s just a nice person!

Great! Great! Great! I am having so much fun taking singing lessons with Molly. I’ve always wanted to know how to sing and really had no idea how. After two lessons, I already feel like my brain has exploded (in a good way!) and all of my old misconceptions have melted away.
I could go on and on but instead will just mumble through this for brevity’s sake… fun…awesome…learny…good…happy…la la la! Yay!!!

I came to NYC Vocal Studio as a complete novice. The teachers have been patient and supportive as I have gradually worked toward singing in a more proper, healthier way.
