NY Computer Express

I had the hardest time finding this place and I really didn’t find where in the world is 305 W58th bet. 8^th & 9^th ave! I spent more than an hour roaming around Columbus circle area and couldn’t find this freaking computer repair shop on the address given! Ugh! One star because your place is not accessible! It was such a waste of my time! Smfh

Place is abysmal. I gave them my external hard drive which they said they’d pick up. They showed up late, after complaining that I wouldn’t bring it to the place in queens despite previously saying it would be no problem to pick up. Then I had to take a phone picture the receipt, as they didn’t have a copy to give me. Fine, whatever. They say they’ll get back to me tomorrow.
I call 3 days later. They say they’ll get back to me next week. I call two weeks later, they say they’ll get back to me in a few days.
It’s been over two months. Ive had a back-​and-​forth with them about three or four times, they always say they’ll get back to me. They never do. This place is a joke. They essentially stole my hard drive.

First off, amazing. Lightening fast response and repair time. He came to us and I watched everything from start to finish, which was hugely interesting and educational for me and Emil, the tech (and possibly owner) was really generous about explaining how things worked.
I feel like saying «this was the best computer repair service I’ve ever experienced!» is like saying «that was the best colonoscopy I’ve ever had!». Inherently low expectations make high praise subjective at best. But these guy (s) were truly amazing, even in comparison to generally pleasant activities like, say, getting a perfectly toasted bagel without having to wait in line. Or getting into that sold out show. Yep, this still feels great.
We called in the afternoon (Sunday no less) and were told a tech would come to our house that same day to fix our broken laptop screen. What?! Come to us? Same day service? Ok, I thought for sure it was some over-​promising blow hard and we’d get some follow up call apologizing for not having any techs available that day, etc. But lo, we got a follow up call from Emil, saying he was headed over. And then he showed up! And then he fixed the computer! Right in front of us! In 20 min!
I’m still kind of floored at easy and awesome this was. I almost want to break the computer screen again. Except Emil also showed me how to do it myself next time. This guys is a prince.
