History

Established in 1998.

I graduated college in 1991 from Suny at Albany. My first job out of college was working at Kidder, Peabody doing desktop. I was there until 1994 and then took a few years off to start my own computerized, roommate match making service. In 1998 I got back into IT at Bear Stearns for a year (and started my business in the evening). I then went to UBS investment bank for 8 years in IT while still maintaining the business in the evening. When the sub-​prime mortgage market crashed I got laid off and decided to keep my business going full time.

It is not the first time that I call Jay Shapiro for my computer problems and he always managed to be fast and save me!
Yesterday I thought I had lost all my data, I called him at 10 PM on Saturday, and he sent me Brian on Sunday morning mind you! Brian did the job in two hours and now my computer is like new! Thank you Brian and thank you Jay for having such a dedicated team!

A couple of weeks ago my MacBook got a virus, which is almost unheard of! I had no idea what to do, since Mac’s aren’t supposed to get viruses. He was very responsive and fixed it in an hour. I haven’t had any issues since. I also referred him to my grandmother last week because she was having some issues with her internet. They also fix iPad screens and kindles, which is really great. I would recommend Jay Shapiro Computers to anyone who needs help and wants someone with experience.
