History

Established in 1994.

EnviroFocus began as a small home inspection company in the suburbs. The organization’s history spans over 17 years, but for the experience, education and history of its owner, that experience goes back decades further. The irony about the start of the company is that the owner, Henry Dominick, was born and raised in New York City, but founded the company in Sacramento, California, on the opposite side of the country.

Henry didn’t leave New York for good, though. Not soon after its founding, Henry brought EnviroFocus across the country into the city where he grew up. Read more about Henry and the experience behind the company in his bio below.

Meet the Business Owner

Henry D.

Business Owner

Henry Dominick was born in New York City and moved to California when he was in his twenties. He studied biological sciences at the University of California, Los Angeles, before moving to San Francisco. He worked for a local environmental testing firm for 10 years before moving to Sacramento to start his own company.

The company began as Dominick Home Inspection Services, catering to new home buyers or those with property damage issues. Henry had already vested years of his life into various property management and real estate positions, so he didn’t have much trouble taking on such a role.

After a few years, Henry combined his institutional education with his life education and, after marrying the love of his life, established EnviroFocus, Inc.
