Dhay Sese

I just realized that I started this review back when I was pregnant in 2014, but never ended up posting it… so here we go!
I said it once, and I’ll say it again… Dhay is AWESOME! I can’t imagine in what shape this preggo body would be in if it wasn’t for her treatments.
I started experiencing a lot of back pain during my second trimester and a friend referred me to Dhay who came to my rescue. I made an appointment and she was able to see me right away and was super flexible with scheduling. She has after-​work hours and the location was easy and convenient to get to.
The only thing that was a bit frustrating is dealing with my insurance company. Dhay was considered an out-​of-​network provider which means they do not cover any of the cost of treatments, but Dhay diligently followed up with them to try and make things work for me so I could pay less for the treatments. at the end of the day, the insurance company didn’t cover any of the costs, but it was still SOO worth it paying out of pocket.
Highly recommended! I wish I was still in NY so I can use her again with my next pregnancy!

I literally couldn’t get in Unilocal fast enough to review this amazing woman. I just had my first appointment with her. Not only did she take out so much time out to speak with me about my needs and concerns (so much more than I feel anyone gives you nowadays), but she was so loving and tender and respectful. As a new mom in my 22 week, my belly is so intimidating to me. I just try to ignore it and compensate! Dhay showed me how I could be using my body in ways that could create future injury, and how to moves correctly. She explained the muscle structure in my belly and how to strengthen without creating any problems for baby. She is well versed in traditional and alternative thoughts in preparing your body for baby boo, and I just feel like I got soooooo much value out of her fee. Whether you can claim injury to use insurance, or need to pay her out of pocket fee, DO IT. Do it NOW. She will help you even if you are perfectly healthy with no injuries like me! I can see she knows her stuff, so if you are injured, she is your woman! Loves me some Dhay Sese! Make room and time in your schedule to see her. You will be delighted!

Dhay is a miracle worker. I have always had chronic back pains, which only worsened once I got pregnant. I began experiencing back pains as early as 12 weeks. I could not sit for longer than an hour at a time. Plane rides were torture, and I traveled a lot for work. A friend of mine saw Dhay throughout her pregnancy and highly recommended her to me. In our first session, she patiently spent nearly 45 minutes getting to know me, my problem areas, and my habits. She gave some great tips on how to adjust my posture as well as some simple exercises that I could do even while sitting on a plane. Then she began her massage. The room was dimmed, calming music was turned on, and the massage table was extremely comfortable. She adjusted it to the size of my growing belly and supported my legs, and later neck and back once I turned over, with pillows that nearly put me right to sleep. Her sessions often run past the allotted time as she carefully works through your muscles. She is not only a great physical therapist, she is attentive, caring, and knowledgeable. I’m now in my 24^th week and could not imagine going through this pregnancy without her.

I agree with all of the previous positive comments here. I started with Dhay in my third trimester of pregnancy and must say it was worth all of the time and effort to trek into the city from Brooklyn to see Dhay.
I was reluctant at first to get prenatal massage because a friend who was pregnant had once said «What’s the point? you immediately go back to being achy and creaky again». Boy was she wrong and I was sorry I had waited until my third trimester to talk to my doctor and get referred to Dhay.
After a 90 minute massage (always coupled with a mini-​session to discuss how I was feeling and at home exercises and remedies) I left her office feeling great for the day and was sure to get a good night’s rest, which when you are coming down to the end days is priceless. And sure my friend was right in the sense that within 24 hours my body had assumed most of its tightness, but to have that tightness be relived for an entire day was wonderful and more importantly only allow it to build up for a week, prevented further pain and aches.
I also worked with a personal trainer and would share my progress with Dhay, she had great advice that also helped inform my work in the gym.
I truly have to say that because of my work with Dhay, I had a very happy and healthy third trimester and an incredibly easy labor, even for a second child.

Dhay is kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and incredible at what she does. I have lower back pain that flares up a few times a year, and I trust completely that she knows what to do to help me find relief. Her recommendations for stretches and exercises are always on the mark. And her massages are very effective and make me feel like I’m about 16 years old again — free of aches and pains. Most recently, I had terrible back cramping — so bad that I cried — and Dhay was able to see me right away. After two sessions over the course of 3 days and stretches recommended by Dhay, the pain began to subside significantly. I recommended her as a highly proficient, consummate professional who really cares about her patients.

Dhay is excellent. She really knows her field. She can explain to you exactly how your body functions and how it all connects. I have been going to her for back problems for a few months now and I have seen a considerable improvement in my functions. Based on her recommendations I have made changes to both my work and sleep habits, I have learned how to keep good form and when I can’t do the excerses she had a variety of techniques to help releive the pain. I would not go to anyone else after her. She’s the best there is.

In my 18^th week of pregnancy I was experiencing back pain due to growing breasts and round ligament pain (ahh the beauty of pregnancy!). I told my husband I desperately needed to find a prenatal physical therapist and he referred me to Dhay, who has her office in the same building as my husband (YAY!). When I met Dhay, she was very nice and warm and gave me very good tips and exercises to do during the week. Also, she massages your back and legs with just the right amount of pressure and avoiding the pressure points that need to be avoided. I am going to her weekly now and after 3 weeks of pt, I feel great. I will be coming to Dhay until I give birth and also post pregnancy.

In late October of this year, I found myself 5 months into my second pregnancy, in New York on business, and in excruciating back pain. After an overnight trip to the ED to make sure I wasn’t miscarrying, I had no idea how I was going to get on a plane to get home to LA. Thankfully I found Dhay Sese who so generously agreed to work with me after her last patient that night (at 9 pm!) and I couldn’t believe the difference I felt after leaving her office 2 hours later. In just that one visit she gave me so many stretching and posture tips that I still use to this day. I’ve found a PT here in LA, but she does not compare to Dhay. I wish I could have packed Dhay in my suitcase and brought her here. She is that good. Highly recommended!
