This place is super cramped and filled with super cheap hardware products. The staff are nice enough, though they are probably better versed in the local music scene than any of the products hanging on the walls in the store. There is seriously stuff hanging from every possible location. It’s a bit confusing and the organization of the store makes zero sense. I suggest walking over to Walker’s hardware a few blocks away if you need something specific. Basics plus is fine for tape, batteries, and other«basics», but beyond that you need to look elsewhere.

Had a key made. In and out. Good customer service. Was greeted as soon as I stepped foot in.

They charge $ 2.75 to get one key copied. When I exclaimed that this was pricey, the guy said this was the average cost. You’ve gotta be kidding me! I’ve gotten my keys copied for $ 1 a piece but I guess this was when I was in CA. Anyways, I guess I shoulda gone to a small hole in the wall instead. Not sure how the other Basics Plus stores are but this one is super small and feels a bit cluttered. Get your keys copied elsewhere!
