Ballard’s specializes in a wide array of school spirit merchandise. Currently the store carries Nike, Under Armour, & Champion hats, slingbags, sweatshirts, sweatpants, polos & t-​shirts for men and women for area high schools, including the Manhattan High Indians, Riley County Falcons, Rock Creek Mustangs, Wamego Red Raiders and Blue Valley-​Randolph Rams. Ballard’s also offers dozens of different 3 for $ 25 K-​State tees for Kansas State University fans.

History

Established in 1951.

Ballard’s was founded as Ballard’s Sporting Goods in 1951 to provide sports equipment to the Manhattan, KS area. Today it remains in Aggieville as a clothing store for high school & Kansas State fan gear, as well as continuing to offer custom screenprinting and high school letterman jackets.

Business Owner

Jon began his Aggieville career working in Varney’s textbook department with Ted Varney. He now owns Varney’s, runs K-​State Student Union Bookstore, and took over management of Ballard’s in 2011.
