The Location Connection

Darian and the location connection is not to be trusted and nearly ruined our entire wedding by pulling the location with less than a month to go (after she breached by not performing her documented duties). She will say whatever is needed to close the deal and then classically «bait and switch». Her contracts are unprofessionally vague and worded to protect she and her «company». Emotionally charged and driven, she is far from a professional business person and lacks integrity in her dealings. Her Laguna Beach house has vendors that she attempts to contractually force upon you (with clear lies nonetheless) and feels extortive. These vendors are consistently higher than market rates would dictate and likely have a back end deal involved. More and more «gotchas» surface throughout the process and it is clear that her «client» is the location (thus her business name) and not YOU, the person/​couple getting married or having an event. Stick to the hotel if weighing your options or find a legitimate business professional to work with, trust me. I feel so strongly against this «business» that I would be happy to spend time to share further details with any Unilocalers who are interested.

Darian at Location Connection was an essential part of our wedding. She was friendly, knowledgeable, innovative, and got things done.
She helped us turn our vague wedding dreams into a solid vision that became an amazing reality! From finding the perfect location for our outdoor wedding at a fantastic 1928 old Hollywood home to nailing the tiniest details like how our escort cards/​luggage tags would be displayed to wrangling all our vendors and even working behind our backs to help our friends put together a fantastic flash mob dance that blew us away, she really made our wedding fantastic! She introduced us to some fantastic vendors that made sure our food, flowers, and music were unforgettable!
She was like a right-​hand assistant to my bride through the process, and through her we found the perfect band, linens, flowers, food, venue, and décor. I absolutely loved working with Darian and her team! Let me start by saying that I am not a big fan of hotel weddings, I wanted something different, something private, for my big day and Darian helped me find the best solution– a private ocean view mansion in Laguna Beach-​my guests are still talk about how beautiful the mansion was! Darian also provided us with recommendations of reliable, good priced vendors for photographer, cake, DJ, rental company, florist, photo booth etc. Our wedding went off without a hitch, Darian was there to help with whatever we needed. I thoroughly recommend the location connection to anyone getting married in CA !!! THANK YOU DARIAN!!!

If I could give it negative stars I would!
I have requested a ton of information regarding wedding packages for different venues and this was the absolute WORST company I spoke to. Rude, ignorant, and thought they were hot shots. The clientele was very rude. They took a MONTH to finally respond to my emails only to tell me they weren’t available for that date. so why couldnt they tell me what date they were available for? I would have planned around it, I was only merely setting a «date» to work with.

I did not appreciate the harassing phone call from this company made TWO MONTHS LATER– I would not recommend having your wedding through this company. Terrible business. Plus they paid to have my first review removed for NO REASON to even when it complied to the guidelines of Unilocal… REAL PROFESSIONAL.
