I can’t say enough good things about Barbie and her crew. We’ve been doing the 15 – 20 minute mid day walks for a few weeks now and my pup Dexter could ‘t be happier. They send through a pic from every walk, which always brightens our day. I highly recommend their services :)

I discovered Superstar through Unilocal.We moved from the East coast, were new to the area and have a bulldog who is very shy. I needed someone who would take the time to come over to the house and get to know Romeo. Once he is your friend, he loves you! Barbie did just that! She took the time to come over multiple times to get to know Romeo and now they are best buds! Her colleague, Alene is now another best friend of Romeo. Barbie and Alene are very professional and good with the dogs. We have since added two puppies and they have become great friends with Barbie and Alene. I have had some short notice requests and Barbie has been awesome at meeting those needs and making sure she has someone who already knows Romeo walk him and the puppies. I have a bunch of travel coming up and will not use anyone else but Barbie and Superstar Pet Sitting.

Boy, we were in a bind… we didn’t reserve a spot at the big box dog hotel and needed to get pet care QUICK. Superstar Pet sitting to the rescue! We contacted Barbie and she was able to accommodate our needs even though it was last minute. Our little monsters have now been taken care of by Alene and Tishelle and both have been fantastic! Professional and caring they have been wonderful, even though our younger dog is a bit of a nervous nelly. Don’t think twice, go with Superstar Pet Sitting.

We’ll never use a kennel again! We had to leave town very last minute for a funeral in Canada. Barbie and her team jumped in right away and took the pets off our list of details to deal with at this difficult time. We received photos every day of our cat and dog, comfortable and relaxed in their own home while we were away. We came home to very happy, calm, and well pets. And we didn’t worry at all while we were away. Not only were our pets well cared for, the whole process, from first contact to pre-​visit to payment to return of key, was completely stress-​free. We could all use a little extra ease in our life, and Barbie and her team are doing their part to make that happen in the pet care realm. Thank you!!!

Barbie and Superstar pet sitting are wonderful! We first used their services while out of town for our cat and now have them walk our puppy Juniper multiple times a week. Barbie will first set up a meet and greet with your chosen sitter. They have been welcoming and thorough — something I appreciate since I’m a little over protective of my cat and puppy!
While out of town the sitter came to our house every day to check on food and water and hang out with our pet. We then were sent a photo, which made us feel comfortable while across the country. The pet sitter also offered to water our plants and bring in the mail as well as give our cat medicine.
Our dog walker is very flexible. We started using her when our puppy was only 10 weeks old and felt like she was well taken care of when we couldn’t get home from work at lunch. We are able to text Barbie in the morning and set up a dog walker for the afternoon if we both can’t get away and come home for our dog. We get a photo every time she is walked. This is a savior for us since our puppy is now 5 ½ months old.

Back in Feb. 2016 I started looking for a new dog walker for my ten year old whippet. I was becoming dissatisfied with my previous dog walking service: they were frequently sending different walkers and the walkers weren’t getting to know my dog’s personality or habits. I saw Barbie’s 5-​star reviews on Unilocal and called. She replied promptly by text and we set up a meet and greet. Barbie assured me that we would have one primary walker, Erica. Both Erica and Barbie have been great, leaving a daily note, sending a picture for every walk, and accommodating my at-​times timid dog.
For me, Barbie’s professionalism and Erica’s patience warrant a 5 star rating! I really need to trust our dog walker, they have access to my home and pet, and I think they’ve been doing a very good job.

We were exploring different options for our puppy during our vacation. We researched online and talked to a few businesses offering pet sitting in our home. Barbie returned our call promptly and was very professional and thorough. She was eager to help meet our needs. Alene came over and spent time with our puppy and we knew that we would feel very comfortable leaving our puppy and our home in Alene’s care. Fortunately for us, our family agreed to stay here while we are gone so we did not end up hiring Superstar Pet Sitting but if something changes or we have pet sitting needs in the future, we would not hesitate to hire them.

Barbie and Alene were easy, professional, thorough, and affordable. I took a trip out of the country for 6 days, and Alene came over a few days before I left to get all the instructions, which were followed to the T. Barbie emailed me pictures of my kitty every day while I was gone which made me feel much better being farther away. Their price of $ 20 a visit for a 30 – 40 minute time period is the cheapest I saw anywhere in the area, which is a steal because they provide excellent service. Will definitely use them again to look after my fur baby while I’m away!

I really can’t say enough positive things about this service. Barbie and her crew are pros. I recently moved and felt panicked about finding a new babysitter for my fur babies. Not knowing anyone local, I relied on Unilocal reviews. After calling, superstar sent Alene out for a meet and greet. Wow! My 13 year old shih tzu is very picky and doesn’t typically like strangers at all. Alene had him rolling over to have his belly petted within minutes.
I also have 3 cats and a bearded dragon. In the past, my sitters just refuse to take care of my beardie except for the least of care that doesn’t require handling him, etc. Alene was immediately comfortable and happy to feed and care for him– even sending me videos of him eating while I was gone.
One of my cats has been on seizure meds for years. Giving a cat a pill twice a day is a commitment and challenge. They did it with not one complaint.
While gone on a trip, the service sends daily pix of your happy camper– which eased my mind greatly. Then there’s cost, right? In my humble opinion, they are incredibly reasonable– and flexible on scheduling to boot. What more can you want? I could not be happier with a service and am very grateful to have found them. I highly recommend them.

I have been using Superstar Pet Sitting for 6 months now and love it! Barbie has the perfect balance of caring, professionalism, and flexibility. Alene walks our dog twice a week and always sends a cheerful text with an adorable picture of our pup. They are reliable and will work with you to fit you and your dogs needs. Being new to the area and wanting the best care for our animals we had to look no further than superstar. The meet and greet prior to securing the booking was professional and we could tell right away our animals would be well cared for. They instantly wanted to play with the owner and the overnight sitter. Our dogs were exercised and happy when we can home. Our cats had a clean litter box and were not hiding and even our fish were well fed and did not eat each other while we were away. We received daily photos and text updates which helps put the mind at ease. I highly recommend their services!

I’m a little late to review Superstar, but I’m happy I got around to it because they were great! My husband and I were in a pinch at the end of July because we had to go to San Francisco for work and right before we were supposed to leave, our dog Charlie came down with the sniffles! Due to his cold we could not leave him at daycare like we normally did when we went away, because we didn’t want him to give the cold to other pets, so we were scrambling at the last second trying to find some type of private pet sitting service which we had never used before… Barbie to the rescue!
I found Superstar here on Unilocal and knew by the great reviews that she was just what we needed! I was sure it was too last minute and we were going to be out of luck, but Barbie was amazing and accommodated us literally the night before we were leaving. She had a wonderful friend whom Charlie could stay with, and she set up a meeting for us that night in her friend’s home. We brought Charlie and Barbie was there as well. We were able to meet her friend whom Charlie would be staying with, and meet Barbie since she would be walking him during the days when her friend was at work. She was very professional, asked all the right questions, and they took the time to get to know Charlie and his quirks… he is a Yorkie-​mix who is high maintenance and has some issues (he’s a rescue). They really put our minds at ease!
The next morning, before I left for the airport, Barbie came by our home and picked Charlie up herself to take him to her friend’s house where he would be staying while we were away. That was a huge help for us! While we were away, we had great communication from both Barbie and her friend, and we received updates about Charlie as well as pictures and video! We felt so much better about leaving him knowing that he was being well-​cared for. The best part was when I picked him up at Barbie’s friend’s house when I got back, his cold was pretty much gone! They had given him his medicine as I had asked, and that, combined with the good rest and care he received, helped get him right back to his usual self. THANK YOU SO MUCH BARBIE AND COMPANY! We are so happy we found Barbie this summer and I would definitely recommend Superstar to anyone needing great care for their pets!

Barbie was so easy to work with and took wonderful care of our cat for about a week. She worked with us on getting our keys, sent us updates for each visit, and left everything very clean. We will definitely be return customers!

Barbie walks my puppy Uva three times a week. She is great with the dog and sends me daily updates with a photo! I highly recommend her as a dog walker or pet sitter!

They immediately took to my two dogs and even my grumpy cat Ziggy. I know my animals are well-​taken care of, safe, and loved when they are their care. She also took pics of our pets and texts them to us with updates! Barbie’s really great at getting the animals to look at the camera at the right time in the right way so the pics turn out super cute! An added bonus to her fabulous pet sitting skills. I think she has a real knack for pet photography actually. Hmmm… side business perhaps? Not a bad idea. So happy to have found Superstar Pet Sitting! My boyfriend and I just moved to Torrance about three weeks ago. We needed a sitter for our five month old puppy and I was nervous about it because I’ve always had my family in San Diego to help take care of our puppy. So with that said we were very picky. We decided to contact Superstar Pet Sitting and Barbie picked up our call right away. She was super friendly and easy going. We needed a sitter the next day and she made herself available that same day we called her to meet Boppy! She came in about an hour like she said she would and from the moment she walked into our apartment Boppy was all over her so that put me at ease. She let let me show her Boppy’s route around the apartment complex which was great! Barbie is very patient, super friendly, and just so easy to work with. She even texted a pic of our baby during the two visits. I’m so happy we found her and now we have Barbie to call if we need to for Boppy! I am so glad I found this company. Barbie is super reliable and trustworthy. I have never met anyone who cares so much about the pets she works with than she does and most importantly she makes sure that as a client youre happy. I enjoy having her walk my terrier mix and knowing that he trusts her is a big plus since he has separation anxiety. Highly recommended business!

I absolutely love the chick who runs the business. I think her name is Barbie. My dog has a serious case of anxiety and separation issues and she made sure my dog was taken care of while I was traveling ;) They not only walk/​sit your dog but they help train them! Barbie is awesome with my senior dog. My 4-​legged daughter Free has really bad separation anxiety when I’m away from her, but Barbie manages to make her feel at ease. I don’t know what I’d do without Barbie. Free is my baby and I don’t trust anyone else with her.

Love using Superstar Pet Sitting for walks for our active goldendoodle. Barbie is very friendly and professional. It is super easy to book walks… I usually just send her a text message. She is very flexible and tries to accommodate us if she can. There are no last minute fees or other random fees and she always walks our dog by himself since he has issues with other dogs. Would highly recommend their services.

Barbie is great! She immediately got along with Sophie, my indoor tabby. Barbie takes the greatest photos and sends them over when she does her house visits. She’s flexible, sweet and super caring. We couldn’t have asked for a better cat-​sitter!

Had a weekend trip planned and no one to check on our dogs. When Barbie came for interview I instinctively knew she was perfect for our fur-​kids. 2 dogs (1sm & 1Lg) Gizmo and Arrluk.
We have a large yard so unfortunately our boys aren’t leash trained, so they just want to play play play. She was quick to learn their routine.
Added bonus, her phone takes great photos and we had smiles from ear to ear when receiving our nightly check-​in and photos.
We will definitely hire her again when we leave town. More so id like to get our boys out on a leash for walks, hopefully we can work into our budget her to come by once a week or so. Totally affordable we just need to make the commitment.

We recently used Barbie to cat sit for our two cats and we were very happy! She came ever day for 30 min and sent texts and pics to our phones each time. The cats did very well in her care. She administered their medications and took care of the litter boxes… And we will definately use this service again in the future. Very affordable and worth every penny.
