History

Established in 1997.

Since 1997 South Bay Gold has been one of the top gold buyers and bullion dealers in Southern California. However, SBG’s roots actually go back to 1987 as a jewelry manufacturer and wholesaler of precious stones and metals. Today, South Bay Gold has become a leading Jewelry Store, Coin/​Bullion Dealer, Gold Buyer and Precious Metals Refiner. Moreover, approximately two years ago, Finley’s Jewelers joined our family of businesses. Established in 1924 and with a great reputation, we realized Finley’s would be natural fit to join us. In 2013, Coin Store USA launched and became our first eCommerce site offering coins & bullion on a national scale.

Manager

Brian is the manager of South Bay Gold in Torrance. He oversees the operations for production and delivery of custom jewelry orders, customer inquiries and specializes in rare coins while running the bullion trading division.

An avid collector himself, he enjoys educating people in the history of coinage as a hobby for fun and profit. He has extensive international marketing experience in the media and electronics industries for both private companies and government.

I ran into some expenses that needed to be handled weekend of so I thought I would try this place out and sell them my gold.
I originally went to the sepulvida location that was a bust. They closed early due a wedding granted Chase Bank closes at 4 pm Saturday it was already 3:40 pm
i got to this location via side streets at 3:53 Chase Bank was across the street I was dont with 3 mins to spare ran across the street to deposit the money. It literally took me less then 5 mins !
They definitely know how to handle a quick and painless transaction. I would recommend them for sure!!!

Ryan Iskander at South Bay Gold was kind and helpful during a very stressful time. My very large safe was stolen from my house which included going coins that were passed down to me from my father. I needed an estimate for our insurance company to value gold coin that were stolen. Ryan did it in a timely, well organized and professional manner. He couldn’t have been more knowledgeable and considerate, never once did he act like I was asking too much. It was the first time I had been in the store and was very impressed. I may not have been purchasing during that visit, but I will definitely be back due to Ryan’s help and the beautiful items they have there.

After having three bad experiences at other stores in LA, I decided to stop by South Bay Gold. Talking with Ryan for a few minutes, he had immediately earned my business by being honest, fair and an absolute pleasure to work with. He and his team walked me through the design process, extending advice on intricate details along the way. From the diamond quality, to the price, to the custom design and most importantly the customer service– This was an unbelievably great experience that I’ll remember forever. After going to a few places to sell some stuff i was being stiffed by the prices so we went online and saw South Bay Gold that we pay the highest and to our surprise it was true to the capital T. Ryan and Sammy are the best of what they do. So we have been coming here a couple times and each time excellent customer service and also their selection is also very good. The last time Sammy even cleaned my wedding ring for free. Great guys from the start to finish on even custom work. Will be coming back.

Brought in my wedding ring and band set to both South Bay Gold locations. The first location I went to offered me significantly lower than what I was offered at Luxe Cash for Diamond and Gold in Redondo, and when I told them, they upped their bid by several hundred dollars. The second location wouldn’t buy the set and said they dealt with «wealthy clients». I ended up selling 2 necklaces and a pair of earrings at the first location, and got a decent price for those things, and went back to Luxe to sell the ring set.
The staff were nice, but I wouldn’t return to sell jewelry. They did have a nice selection of jewelry for sale at both locations.

When you’re selling something that’s important to you, you want to feel that someone is treating that item with respect, and that’s exactly what he did. I felt like I was in good hands. I went here based on the Unilocal reviews and I wasn’t disappointed. Just wanted a simple gold chain and also to sell an old gold ring I wore as a child. I do not know the name of the gentleman who assisted me, but he was really nice and he helped me with his opinion on which chain looked more flattering with my ruby pendant. He also shortened the chain to my desired length as I waited (and stared at the beautiful diamond earrings and pendants until I literally felt blinded). I would definitely return here if I needed jewelry repair (I break things) or if I finally decide to buy myself some serious diamond earrings (unless someone else does first). ;) ;)

Impressive boutique style dealer. Informative, friendly and professional. I feel I got a very fair deal on my trade and I now have the vintage Rolex I’ve been looking for to add to my timepiece collection. They also did a fantastic job in cleaning my Tiffany ring (cleaned, polished and rhodium dipped). Fun selection on pre-​loved fine jewelry and time pieces. Definitely will be back!

Just ask for Ryan — he’s the best and gives honest advice! If you are looking for a custom designed ring (whether it be a bridal set, wedding ring, engagement ring, etc.), they can do it. My love just proposed to me and the e-​ring is a dream come true. Look forward to working with Ryan on customizing my fiancé’s wedding ring when it’s time.

These gentlemen were absolute sweethearts!
I am recently engaged and needed to get my ring sized. I called numerous jewelers in the South Bay and they all wanted to charge around $ 100 dollars AND take my ring over night, which made me extremely anxious.
When I called South Bay Gold, the gentleman that answered was extremely friendly. He was much more reasonably priced then anyone else I had called and MOST IMPORTANTLY, made me feel extremely comfortable by offering to do the sizing right in front of me in their store.
He went above and beyond to make sure they made it the perfect size for my finger, cleaned it, and even made me laugh and smile throughout the process!
I’d ABSOLUTELY recommend coming here for any of your jewelry needs, and I will definitely be bringing my fiancé back to look at wedding bands!

Happy Customer! Was looking for that perfect engagement ring that my wife always dreamed off and found it in South Bay Gold.
Let me start by saying, I’ve searched high and low for a clear 3 carat diamond along a beautiful setting for some time now not finding that illusive setting. My wife and I went into no less than 10 stores around California even as going as far as Carlsbad for a specialty store trying to find a beautiful setting that we could at least make small adjustment to our liking but no store had what we were looking for.
Clarity, beauty and color was our main goal when searching for the diamond. It wasn’t until a good friend of ours who buys bullion at South Bay Gold told us, that they have amazing settings and and sell diamonds and wholesale prices! We found our setting! More over she got her beautiful diamond, I couldn’t be happier with the price, $ 2k less setting than other competitor stores and about $ 2k in the Diamond.
Was worth the wait. Wife couldn’t be happier! Diamond even shines in the dark!

I’ve been coming to South Bay Gold in Manhattan Beach for over a year and a half now. What keeps me coming back is the fact that these are truly honest individuals to do business with.
Time and time again, they’ve exceeded my expectations in every transaction we’ve had. Not only do they take the time to answer any questions or address any concerns I may have, but they also give me the highest possible prices for my gold.
Beyond that, these guys (Ryan, especially… and Sammy) aren’t just interested in your merchandise. They actually do care about you as a person (with family and children to support). So they always do their best to work with you and make you feel like you are well taken cared of.
I have never ever walked away from this place feeling anything less than happy… and blessed that I have encountered such fair and genuine people (in any business, let alone in the business of buying/​selling such high-​valued commodities).
