We welcome new patients. You will be greeted into a relaxing office with a calming water fountain, serene video & beverages. Our patients rarely wait before they are welcomed into the treatment area. Doctor and staff are very thorough and listen to our patients concerns. Our staff is courteous, knowledgeable and available. You are treated with dignity and respect believing informed patients make the best decisions. We make each visit to our practice a pleasant experience and your confidentiality is of the utmost importance to us. We do family dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, veneers, implants, sports dentistry, root canal therapy and dental trauma from sports injuries or other accidents. We work together with you and most insurance companies and offer payment options when needed.

History

Established in 1978.

Dr. Padilla received his DDS in 1978 from USC and is presently on faculty at UCLA. Dr. Padilla has been at this location since 2005. He is the team dentist for UCLA Athletics, LA Galaxy and USA Soccer. He lectures internationally on trauma treatment and cosmetic reconstruction. He presently is located at the border of Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, Hawthorne and Redondo Beach in the Los Angeles South Bay. Dr. Padilla is committed to the highest quality in patient care. He is highly self motivated, dedicated to the dental profession and is experienced in a wide variety of family, cosmetic and sports dentistry. He is affiliated with the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, various other prestigious organizations and lectures internationally. Dr. Padilla is married, has 2 children and has a strong relationship with his community, church and Rotary Club.

Dr. Padilla & his family have lived in Manhattan Beach since 1975, graduating from USC School of Dentistry in 1978. As well as his Family & Cosmetic Dentistry practice, Dr. Padilla is on faculty at the UCLA School of Dentistry. His involvement in sports dentistry includes the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympic Games, 1994, 1999, and 2003 World Cup Soccer, & 2004 IIHF World Hockey Championship in Prague. He is the Team Dentist for UCLA Athletics, the Los Angeles Galaxy Major League Soccer Team, & USA National Soccer Teams. Dr. Padilla has published many articles on mouthguards & trauma treatment & prevention. An international speaker, he has lectured in Australia, Japan, Switzerland, Germany, Canada, Spain, Greece, United Emirates and numerous USA venues.

My wife and I had been going to Dr. Padilla for a couple of years and thought it time to move on after he deceived me and lied to me about a mouth piece. We left his practice about two years ago. He asked me if I had sleeping problems and he wanted to get me into a sleep study and fit me with a mouth piece that he said would help. The first thing I asked him was how much this would cost me with my insurance. He told me they had checked, it would only be about $ 100.00. He ordered a piece that I would sleep with and It would measure my breathing. I wore it for 2 nights and send it back for the results. I came in 2 weeks later and he then told me the mouth piece would cost about $ 2000.00. I told him right way, you told me $ 100.00, my insurance would cover this. A nice way for him to make a lot of extra money! Then 2 weeks later I was billed $ 3000.00 by the sleep study. I told them to talk to Padilla about this. We took our business else where. Then just this week a received a bill for $ 190.00 from the sleep center after almost 2 yrs. I told them to contact Dr. Padilla! This guy is a con and tells me he is a Christian. Beware of this guy. I going the B.B.B.. Take your dental needs else where. I also feel he did un needed work while we went to him!

Dr. Padilla and his staff are fantastic! After years and years of not seeing a dentist, I was dreading going in but knew I had to and now, I’m so glad that I did. Dr. Padilla, Margaret, Jamie and Leslie are consummate professionals. I always feel welcomed, never feel rushed, am never left waiting in the office or chair, and am always confident that whatever procedure I will be having done in that visit will be done well and painlessly.
During that first visit, Dr Padilla took a lot of time going over the results of my dental x-​rays and outlining a plan of procedures, he made sure that I was well informed and comfortable with everything before starting anything. Since the first visit, I’ve had several appointments and I have to say that Dr. Padilla does amazing work! The crown and fillings that he’s done for me look great and I can’t feel a difference from my natural teeth at all. Margaret did a great job with my deep cleaning and she also spent a lot of time explaining what she was doing, and why, and gave some good advice on how appropriate cleaning between visits.
I definitely recommend Dr. Padilla and his staff if you are looking for excellent skill and patient care!

Just had my first appointment at Dr. Padilla’s office. Everyone was super nice and spent a lot of time with me explaining everything they were doing and why it was important. The office environment is clean and relaxing, the staff are professional and friendly, and the office itself was quiet and peaceful. Overall a great experience.

Dr. Padilla has been my dentist for 8 years. If you play hockey, you should come here because they are hockey fans and their athletic mouth guards are the best! Much more comfortable and easier to talk with it in. They are not expensive, but do quality work including cosmetic. I haven’t had any problems with filings or other work. The cleanings are great and they take time to work with you on improving your health.

Dr. Padilla is an outstanding dentist. He is experienced, conscientious and truly cares about his patients. Since I make every effort to take great care of my teeth, I especially appreciated his expertise after he found that I had a cracked tooth that I was not aware of that needed a crown, no doubt saving me from future pain and discomfort. I have also never had my teeth cleaned as gently and thoroughly as I have by Dr. Padilla’s exceptional dental hygienist. My wife and I travel to Manhattan Beach to Dr. Padilla’s office for our dental needs because he has earned our trust and confidence in him over the years of being our dentist.

Upon walking into Dr. Ray Padilla’s waiting room, I already began to relax due to the soothing environment, relaxing nature videos and even hot coffee or water! The receptionist was prompt and I was seated quickly. Each patient room I could see and the whole office was immaculate. I could tell that they really particular about keeping everything like the dental tools and patient rooms exceptionally clean. Dr. Padilla is warm and gracious and explained everyting ahead of time which is important to me! Nor surprises. Margaret, the hygienist was a sweetie and very thorough in her exam and cleaning. I was impresessed by the time they put into going to classses and lectures regularly. Lookfing forward to going again and I will recommend them to family and friends

Dr Padilla was recommended to me by a physician that takes care of my family. I had a major dental issue that needed immediate attention and Dr Padilla was able to repair the problem and save me from an implant. Now I am a regular (for years) and don’t have panic attacks anymore! They are all so nice and calming when you come in. Dr. Padilla takes his time, makes sure you are absolutely comfortable, explains everything and makes sure that you are ok through out the visit.
I highly recommend them too all my friends. He is close. The office is clean and sanitary. The staff is just AWESOME!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Padilla for five years. I generally see just the dental hygenist (I have great teeth :)) but he’s been great for overview and some light dental work. Everyone in his office is great, very professional and a nice «vibe.» The office is very modern, bubbling fountains, mellow music, lots of videos of tranquil nature settings — it makes going to the dentist’s just that much easier…

Dr. Padilla is a great dentist. The facilities are nice and very clean and everyone working there is very knowledgable. He takes great pride in his work and even was nice enough to not charge me to fix a tooth because it would not be covered by insurance!
