North End Caffe is located at two blocks from the beach. If you are a person who enjoy having breakfast with a friend this is definitely a good place. Every time I come here I like sitting outdoors. I love their cappuccino, the foam is excellent. It’s hard to find parking after 9:30 am during weekends so just wake up early.

This bar is one of the best in the South Bay. An amazing beach atmosphere with great staff. If you’re lucky you might catch some Kings players enjoying the night. If you’re down here on a Sunday make sure you ask for Spencer. He makes some of the best drinks!

Had a gift certificate won from a silent auction from 2004 that was just found. I had never heard of this place and wasn’t sure if they’d honor the certificate, but I said, why not? The cashier had to ask the gentleman behind her(owner or manager?). Anyway, he was super nice and gracious, and honored it. We got the short-rib hash which was a lot of food as well as being a well-composed dish. We also ordered another item off the breakfast special menu — an egg white and guacamole-ish burrito? Both were delicious! Overall: cool ambiance, friendly staff, clean restroom, and much care and thought given to the menu. I looked around to see what the other patrons ordered; everything was making me salivate. Glad, we tried this place. Will definitely be back!

I grew up in the South Bay and have always heard great things about the North End Caffe, so I was excited to finally try it this past weekend! My friends and I went around 10:30 on Sunday, but completely forgot about the Beach Cities brunch crowd… Get there early if you can, parking’s kinda a pain if you don’t. The food was good(got the beignets and Roman toast), but the overall service was even better! Nacho was our waiter and was awesome at checking in with us regularly to see how our meal was going. You could tell that he provided great service because all the regulars/locals kept greeting him by his first name whenever they came in. I appreciated how they differentiated the«large breakfast» because I was looking to bring home some leftovers for after the gym. Definitely looking forward to trying more of the menu!

Like others I’m sure, I wanted to check this place out after seeing it on Triple D. Glad I decided to try it! So, this place is really small. Not much seating inside, and just a few tables and chairs outside. Parking is difficult as you might expect around the area, as it’s nothing but street parking. A garage is a couple blocks away I think, so keep that in mind if you’re driving in circles. The service was great. Quick, friendly, and good recommendations. I recommend asking for recommendations, as the menu is really large. As for the food, we tried the Kahlua Pig Egg Rolls, Uptown Cubano, and the Barton Breakfast Sandwich. The egg rolls are as good as advertised. They are surprisingly large, quite filling, and a little heavy. Kind of seemed like a small cubano rolled up. Was kinda oily too, but we wound up soaking up some of it with napkins. The cubanos and barton were also delicious! The salad had a mustard like dressing, which was interesting. The food was also a bit pricey, but you likely won’t walk out hungry. Overall, the food is really, really good. Will definitely try to come back for the fettuccine carbonara dish!

I came here with a friend after a bike ride — ordered a north end dogs(creole style) along with the kahlua pig egg rolls. It was a Saturday morning around noon — the wait wasn’t too bad compared to other brunch places. This was an enormous amount of food for two people. I’d strongly recommend sharing the north end dogs with a friend — as this a very large dish and comes with large helping of fries. There were pickled tomatoes topped with a nice spicy sauce which gave it a nice kick. The kahlua pig egg rolls are very large and can definitely feed two people on its own. I’d come back here again as the food and service were amazing. There aren’t too many seats inside so expect to sit outside unless you want to wait forever.

We came here this morning for breakfast and were very happy. We got there at 7:45a and they don’t open until 8am. They went ahead and seated us, which was really nice. They brought out a bowl of water for our dog and we didn’t even have to ask for it. Both of our entrees were out of this world. My husband’s was rather large, so we will likely split it next time.

Yes. The egg rolls are good. And it can feed 2 people as long as they don’t eat a lot. You can sort of see the ocean. The beach is a minute away.

I wish I could give 4.5stars because the service is over the top; the staff treats you like family and this was our first time trying the place. We’ve been wanting to check out North End since Guy Fieri’s review on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives… particularly the Monte Cristo Kalua Pork Egg Rolls. The line was literally out the door at 9−10am, but we made our order and sat down in no time at all. Service is fast & very friendly. We tried the short rib hash and french toast breakfast. It’s a bit pricey, but worth the large portions. The fried eggs were perfectly runny and the short rib was tender. The french toast was more buttery than egg-y for my preference, but easily cured with the maple syrup. The egg rolls are the largest egg rolls I’ve ever seen. They were closer in size to a small chimichanga. They are stuffed with kalua pork, wrapped in ham, just a few slivers of cabbage and served with a tri-colored dip of I’m-not-sure-what, but the dip completes the egg roll. A little dip went a long way, but the egg roll somehow only makes sense with the dip. I would definitely go back. They had a lot of different and interesting egg-combos on the menu.

I came here for brunch today on one of the most humid days ever. It was a tad discomforting inside because there wasn’t much AC, but it wasn’t too bad. I think the popularity of this place speaks for itself. It was packed, but luckily right when my friend and I came a table opened up. I ordered the Huevos Divorciados which is «corn tortillas topped with cheddar, pepper jack, bacon, sausage, avocado, eggs over easy, red & green salsa, with potatoes.» My friend LOVES green salsa, so she dug her fork into mine and she said it was some bomb green sauce. I would definitely recommend this dish. Also, the sauce on the potatoes is… so… good… Like… SO… GOOD! This is definitely a very filling dish and worth the price. Side note: The service was great too!

After months after my first visit, I decided that it was about time to try this caffe again. From what I had remembered this places was one of my favorite sandwich spots. After my visit today, I would have to give this place 4 stars. Though the service was great and had friendly staff, they changed the recipe just a bit. I had ordered the«Chucktown.» From what I had remembered the sandwich busted with flavors, and after today’s visit, I was let down a bit. Maybe it was just their off day? However, their salads are to die for! I don’t really know what’s in the dressing, but it is by far amazing! Downside to this place is parking and seating. It’s a war out there!

I didn’t eat anything, so I can’t give it five stars… But my hot tea was good and the food looked great. Great location but absolutely horrible parking situation. I drive around for 15 minutes looking for a spot. Recommend for any beach city dwellers who can walk there.

Every time I come here I’m never disappointed. The food is always fresh, the breakfast is outstanding, service is fast, and the coffee is really good. The short rib hash is heavy but amazing. And if you have never had the Kahlua pig rolls you are really missing out. They were on Guy Fieris show Diners Driveins and Dives for a reason. Little heavy for breakfast but worth it.

[For Breakfast & Coffee :] YUMMY! Don’t let its hole in the wall looks deceive you my friends. This place is perfectly capable of delivering you a scrumptious, affordable, and generously portioned breakfast. In all honesty we came out to the neighborhood to eat at Four Daughters but my brunch date suggested North End Caffe because it’s his favorite breakfast place. I am very glad we decided to because the Short Rib Hash & Eggs I ordered was deeeeeeeeeeeelicious! Not to mention the portion was more than generous for its $ 12.95 price tag. I don’t think its super important to mention but it comes with a hefty slice of toast –the kind you get with spaghetti, haha. For those of you who know me, I always get coffee and I would recommended the Capri(espresso, white chocolate, lemon zest, steamed milk). Oooh baby! Another spot on recommendation from the Mr. Well done North End, well done. I am a pretty difficult person to please when it comes to espresso but I am impressed with your Capri. Overall, 5 stars are well deserved here: — Excellent Customer Service — Yummy Food — Reasonable Prices — Generous Portions — Good Coffee/Espresso And not to mention, it’s so close to the beach~ Fantastic for a day at the beach.
