Manhattan Car Wash

Went by today and it was closed. I know there are talks of sketchers buying the property. Is it closed for good?

Kind of confusing when you pull in… Like 8 dudes swarmed my car but I didn’t exactly know if I was supposed to get out or just stay in the car and follow directions. Went inside to pay, liked that they had a little quickie Mart store inside so you could get a drink/​snacks while you wait. Was quick, wiped down the inside of my car… Only thing is I wish they had a tip line on the receipt because I didn’t have as much cash on hand as I would have liked to tip the guy (s) and I pulled in on a whim and wasn’t expecting such a good level of service… That’s my own bad! Will be back.

Best car wash in area. Unfortunately they are going out of business at end of January 2016. The car wash has been sold and being removed. They will be missed.

This place is seriously the best bang for the buck car wash in South Bay. Sad to see them go… They are closing on January 31^st.

Not a bad bargain on Tues/​Wed at 11.99, esp when my car was covered in post-​rain slop. My first time at this place and I thought they did a nice job making it look nice and getting the dog hair out of the upholstery. But when I got home I realized that they don’t use — or forgot to use — the air hose in the seams. My car has long streaks down both sides and in the back (see pics). I won’t go back — there are better places that take care of the small details for only a few dollars more.

I have never written a review before but this place is so atrocious I feel the need to write one. I had to take my car to another carwash after leaving here. I’ve had a 3 dollar drive through carwash do a better job.

This place does a really good job in my opinion. Best in the area. That pay attention to detail and it shows. I will gladly keep bringing my car here to get cleaned up. The employees are also always nice and greet you with a smile. What more could you ask for?

Tuesday/​Wednesday special for $ 11.99 cannot be beat! The guys are all very friendly, efficient, and CHEAP! Great deal!
Every wash there comes with free vacuuming inside the car! They also clean the windows, both inside and out!

Went here today for car wash, impress shed my truck prior to coming here after off-​roading. The guy ran my truck through once it came out I said tuck isn’t clean, he refused to run truck through again. Gave me my money back. Will not return

Easily the best car wash location in all of South Bay! Customer service is top tier. Was pleasantly greeted when I called to make sure they were open on a Sunday. It’s no surprise that they are busy as usual! Service is professional and expedient. Highly highly recommend!

They did a good job washing and drying every part of the car without me instructing them like I had to with other car washes. Will come here again. Used the check-​in discount too!

My favorite car wash in South Bay. Not fancy, good job, reasonable prices, very nice staff… What more do you need than that?

I came here for a car wash and vacuum. They have a Unilocal check-​in deal for $ 13 for this service, which is $ 2 off regular price. This service includes a little bit more than the basic– tire detail (just the tire, not the rims) and one other service, can’t remember.
They start off by vacuuming the entire interior of your car. Then, they drive the car around to one of those automated car washes that pushes the car through. After the wash, a couple of guys wipe off all the water from your car and address any scratches/​smudges that weren’t removed in the wash. They also clean all windows, inside and out. They wipe down the interior of the car, as well. The whole process takes about 10 min total.
For the cost, I think this is a great service. My car looked beautiful afterwards and it’s always nice to have the interior all clean!

My car needed a car wash like 2 weeks ago… OKAY! I know atrocious! Anyway, decided to swing by here since they have different packages to choose from. I purchased the Manhattan Breeze or Manhattan something… it was $ 17.95. Anyway, the wait wasn’t long and my car was sparkling when they finished. I went on a Wednesday, late morning and it wasn’t busy. So, the other reviewers that complained about their car not being cleaned… I have to say otherwise. Maybe on the days that it is busy, things can be rushed. However, it was not the case for me today. Anyway, I am definitely a fan and will be back!

Pretty typical car wash. Wait time was about 30 minutes on a Friday morning. They did a decent job on the outside but left several spots on the dash, coffee spill splashes on center console and didn’t wipe out inside the cup holders.

They do a good job, but sometimes leaving feeling like they could sweat the details a little. Might be other places in the area that technically do a better job, but they are fairly quick, convenient, and inexpensive, so no major complaints.

Came here for a shampooing of the inside of my car and was super satisfied! My car had not been cleaned out inside for almost 4 years. I went camping, had spilled drinks, accumulated dirt and dust everywhere and in all the crevices. I think it was around $ 55. When I got it back I felt like I was sitting in a new car! They cleaned every area so well it was awesome. The only thing I noticed was the liquid used to wipe down the front dash area seemed a little oily when I touched it, so I believe it just did not have much time to dry. So maybe I will let it dry next time while I sit and wait. The inside area is mini-​mart style. They have coffee, water, juices, soda, candy, gum, snacks! Everyone seemed pretty friendly and it was a relaxing atmosphere in there. I definitely will bring my car back here to be shampooed next time :)
Tip for every time you take your car to be washed or serviced anywhere: Take out ALL your belongings and change/money/electronics…anything you value. Things can get lost or damaged and you are just taking a risk if you leave anything in there. It is your responsibility to take care of that before you drop it off. I learned my lesson at another car wash a long time ago and now I take out everything before I drop it off!

Just had the worst experience in customer Non-​care service. After years as a local and regular customer, I signed up for monthly unlimited service last year. Just tried to use it and they said my on file card did not go through so they cancelled my plan. I could renew it but it would be at the higher prices as prices were raised 20%.
They never emailed/​texted or notified me of the card not working. I of course refused and will sign up with Hermosa Car Wash down the street. They are friendly and have better plans anyways. Give them a try if you also have had a poor experience here like me.

I’ve been to quite a few car washes around the area and always seem to be disappointed.
I finally tried this place… I thought it was super expensive but it wasn’t!
It’s perfect every time! You should definitely try them out if you haven’t yet.
