Exceptional, friendly customer service! Prices and selection are competitive with other local frame stores. Chuck had a great eye and experience in helping me choose the right frame for my mother’s B+W class photo. And. he and other staff went out of their way to fix a problem (not their fault) with the frame I chose. I would definitely go back to this place.

I bought a Groupon for Framestore before reading the negative Unilocal reviews. I decided to go ahead and use it because I hate wasting money, I had an additional 50% off coupon, and I needed stuff framed fast. I went in with a set of five large prints to be framed as well as another piece that I needed re-​framed (but was keeping the mat and glass).
Let me tell you, Shalla, who helped me, was so very thorough and precise and looked up every conceivable frame and glass combo to find the best fit at the best price. She was SO helpful so I could get what I needed with no upsell. After processing all my pieces, she went through the order sheets and saw that she had forgotten to indicate I didn’t need spacers on the re-​frame and redid the order form so I wouldn’t be charged. I myself would likely not have noticed, so it was much appreciated — she could have let Framestore charge me.
Shalla also put through a rush order at no charge that ended up being finished a day earlier than she predicted. All the pieces look GREAT. The only issue, which would be easy to prevent in the future, is that the wires hung on the back of my frames are not uniform in length or tacked at exactly the same place on the frame, which made hanging the set level somewhat difficult — but next time I will know to check, and now so will you.

I used a Living Social coupon at this place and was happy with the results. I wanted to frame our wedding thumbprint tree and felt that I needed a professional to do it justice.
Chuck was great and walked this novice through the process. He was very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. I didn’t feel pressured to buy the super expensive stuff. Great customer service for sure. 5 stars for that.
Only thing is that it is a bit pricey. I wouldn’t have gone without the Living Social coupon.

I would give the staff 5 stars — they were helpful, creative and friendly. They did a terrific job finding the perfect combination to enhance the artwork.
The Actual framing itself I would give 2 stars — the back was taped (Instead of papered like most quality framers). There is also a bulge where the backing board does not sit flush with the frame, but protrudes — giving the piece an amateurish feel.
As for cost — its a joke. I had a 50% off coupon — so I thought I would get good price. Instead it seems like they simply doubled the price, and then took 50% off. The retail cost of the frame and labor was over 1k. After the coupon and other incentives it was down in the $ 500 range (My guess is the frame should have been in the $ 600 range before the coupon).
Overall helpful staff, poor workmanship and gimmicky prices. I will not be going back.

I bought a coupon on the internet to The Framestore, $ 35 for $ 100 worth of framing. I wanted to frame a very small 8.5×11″ poster. Super simple poster backing, super simple frame, and a black and gold mat. Estimated price… $ 200! And that was after the coupon was applied. Disheartened that I definitely wasn’t getting this little poster framed, I tried to see how much it would cost for just the backing (i.e. an 8.5×11″ size piece of posterboard). $ 135 dollars. Unless that posterboard had a winning lottery ticket hidden inside it, it seems like by having a $ 100 coupon to the store, the store just added $ 100 to all their prices.
I ended up giving up on using the coupon and accepted the loss of $ 35. I could get a piece of 8.5×11″ posterboard at Target (in the same parking lot) for .50 cents.

Very expensive for what you get. I purchased a livingsocial coupon for $ 35 to get $ 100 worth of services. When I get there I get my painting measured and with no price list, the lady says its $ 180…so I think… ok so $ 80 out of pocket. That’s more than I want to pay but its fine. When I sign the receipt I see that its actually $ 180 with the coupon already applied. So wow… I chose the simplest frame ever and still so expensive… ok so I pick it up a week and a half later and I were that the side of the frame was the end of a name sticking out of it. It’s not totally noticeable but when I pay so much I have to be picky … so I ask the lady if the frame is supposed to have a bump on the side and she’s like «i don’t know» … um u work at a frame store … anyway… not recommending this to anyone. Going to try Michael’s or Aaron brothers next time…

Just had my degrees framed here. They did a wonderful job. They look beautiful. It was pretty pricey, even with my groupons, but it was well worth something that will last forever.

My fiancé and I got the Groupon (I know, I know) because we had several pieces of artwork that we needed to have framed. The salesman we met was nice, but very pushy. And talkative. And opinionated. After I finally nailed down the matting, framing and spacing combinations I wanted, we were given the pricing — which was over eight hundred dollars for three pieces, even after using the Groupon.
After a week, we got a phone call saying that one of the pieces «looked weird» the way we had chosen to have it framed. We asked them to proceed (I’m an arrogant graphic designer), they did.
Two weeks later, two of the three pieces were framed as expected. Our third piece — the «weird» piece — hadn’t come in yet.
One and a half weeks later our third piece finally came in. It was framed incorrectly, and scotch tape was clearly visible on the artwork. After debating with a second salesman over how it should have been framed, he sent it back to the shop to have it redone.
Sixteen days later, I called to ask if it was ready for pickup. We went into the store and unwrapped the frame, only to find a puncture through the artwork. The frame was also created incorrectly — they completely left out the spacers that we had paid for. The only help we got from the salesman was that he would talk to the original salesman who created our order for us; he also acknowledged that there was a puncture and that the frame was made incorrectly. That was it — no refund, nothing.

I had a christening dress I wanted to have framed professionally that my mom had preserved in a hope chest for the past 50+ years. I took it to the Framestore to see what they could do with this very sentimental piece. Jason worked with me and together we created a beautiful framed art piece. I have it displayed in our master bedroom and I will cherish it forever. I appreciated the choices Jason presented to me and I felt I was working with a friend who really cared. I recommend the Frame Store as I was treated so kindly and I could tell Jason wanted this peice to turn out as beautifully as I did.

My husband and I brought in a large black and white print to have framed here. He had the same print framed for his Aunt here two years ago and remembered the price being reasonable ($ 200-​$ 300), so we decided to go back to have ours framed.
When we initially got there at 1:30 there was a sign on the door saying that they had left for a design consultation and they’d be back at 1. Hmm!!! We went to Target and decided to try again when we were ready to leave.
Someone was actually there! The gentelman helped us with our frame selection, which took about 30 minutes. Then he told us the price… over $ 1,000!!! Are you kidding me? This frame was not made of gold! Luckily, we had a 50% off coupon, so the total came to $ 562, which we weren’t really comfortable with, but the print had sentimental value so we decided to go ahead with it as a wedding gift to ourselves. We ordered it that Saturday and were told that someone would call us when it was ready, but that it would be ready no later than that Thursday. Cut to the following Thursday (1.5 weeks after we dropped it off)… still no call, so I told my husband to call. They told him that they couldn’t locate the print and they weren’t sure if they had the wood in stock to make the frame… really!!!
Finally, we get a call back saying it would be ready the following Sunday afternoon. My husband went in to get it Monday after work… it still wasn’t ready. We finally picked it up that Tuesday and they had not attached the portion of the print that was cut off to the back of the frame!
DON’T EVER GO HERE… USE MICHAEL’S!!!

Last weekend, I went to get a valuable, inherited ink brush painting framed.
Translation: I found a painting in my house and thought, «hey, I should frame this.»
After a diligent search, I finally found a framing store that seemed appropriate for my needs. The Framestore.
Translation: The Framestore was advertising a 50% off coupon on the internet.
I went in and explained that I wanted to know about my options, especially pricing options.
Translation: If it’s over sixty dollars, I’m leaving.
The salesman was impressed with the caliber of the painting but explained that he was concerned about aging. He told me that I should opt for museum quality glass.
Translation: My painting was a piece of crap. But a piece of crap that I should protect.
He then told me about the high quality of their products, but that quality comes at a price.
Translation: I left.
They really shouldn’t advertise on their website that nobody beats their prices. And the 50% coupon comes with an awful lot of fine print. Overall I was impressed with the service of the staff and the craftsmanship of the frames. They certainly offered the highest in quality. Unfortunately I was looking for the lowest in price.
Translation: I felt duped. So I went to Aaron’s Brothers.
