Just went to the newly refurbished Daffy’s in Manhasset. In a word — awful! Don’t waste your time!

Even with the renovation, it is still a crappy store!

Passing by the Americana Manhasset on Northern Boulevard, one sees a shimmering marble building, with Ralph Lauren, Burberry and Prada shining like diamonds. Right after that, you see a construction site, a Astoria Federal, and Daffy’s, the ugly stepsister of the Miracle Mile. Not my favorite store, unlike other department stores I’ve been to, where each designer is labeled onto a specific rack, there are long racks labeled«European Designer» throughout the men’s section. The clothing doesn’t really look all that appealing. The more I looked, I either saw plain t-shirts with loose seams, or polo shirts with the texture and design of an Italian couch. The sales people arent really friendly, and dont acknowledge you are there. Im told that the ones in the city are better, and considering their ratings, but better yet, just go to the H&M less than 5 minutes away and save yourself the trouble. UPDATE: They’re re-opening, with«Countess» LuAnn cutting the ribbon. They’re trying, but do they deserve a second chance?
