This place is pretty pricy, but the seamstress did a fantastic job on both my sister and I’s bridesmaid dress alternations. My sister was visiting from out of town, so she needed her alterations done within 4 days. This request was met without issue. Her dress required a change from ribbon to clasp to fasten the back, as well as adding cups. The cost was $ 40. My dress needed to be hemmed (3 layers) and the straps needed to be taken in since the bust was too loose. Since the wedding was 3 months away, she asked me to give her 6 weeks. I obliged and then dress was ready on the promised date. The dress fits me perfectly, but the alterations cost $ 110. This is more than half of what I paid for the original dress. Based on the research that I did prior to coming to George’s, I’m pretty sure the prices are no more than any of the other area tailors, and may even be cheaper. Despite how pricy the alterations were, I would go back due to the excellent customer service and my satisfaction with the product.
