History

Established in 1995.

Lensis Builders was incorporated in 1995 by Richard W. Lensis, a Class A Builder with over 30 years of experience in the field. We are a design/​build firm that focuses on residential remodeling, additions, kitchen and baths, as well as custom homes. In 2010, we added a subsidiary –Energy Masters of Virginia — to handle the demand for Home Energy Audits, home performance improvements, and third party verifications for Energy Star, LEED for Homes, and Indoor airPLUS.

Business Owner

Richard Lensis is a Class A Builder, a LEED for Homes Green Rater* (in training), a Certified HERS Rater, a Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD), and Certified Bath Designer (CBD) with the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), and a Certified Remodeler (CR) with the National Association for the Remodeling Industry (NARI). He is passionate about residential design/​build remodeling and addition projects and high performance homes.
